Denise has prepared our taxes for several years. My husband handled this until he passed away. He insisted that I accompany him so I would be familiar with the process. When this responsibility became mine, Denise provided the guidance I needed to complete the task. She has always been available when I had questions and concerns. Her expertise is so valuable, She explains anything I need help with all through the process. She sets a comfortable pace so there is no pressure to move more quickly. I appreciate her professionalism and patience.

No disrespect or slant on the company or my tax preparer, but when you are over 65 and living on a fixed income, the price is a little hard to take. I got a refund, for which I am grateful but half of it went for the price of the preparation. I was in the office for 30 minutes and paid $423. I realize the cost of keeping up-to-date on information changes and credentials, etc is complicated and expensive but it still hurts my finances terribly.

Dori was AWESOME, and I really appreciate HRB’s up front pricing transparency. But I don’t appreciate the severe nickel and diming for every single form. There should be cost effective bundles or something like that rather than tacking on $50-$80 every time another form is required. I had, for example, dividends of less than $30. I had to pay $50 for the form that’s required to account for the $30 in dividends! All and all, Dori’s expertise and professionalism were awesome but I think HRB needs to implement some discounts when the # of forms gets high.

Ease of use and friendly employees

I have come to H&R Block for 5 years now because I trust that they know what they are doing since I don’t trust myself to complete my taxes on my own.

Friendly and extremely competent. This is the second year Ive used H&R Block and have been extremely satisfied.

While our tax specialist was polite and did a good job, the manager was overly rude and when my wife asked to speak to her boss, the manager gave a random phone number to a different HR Block who only vaguely knew of the manager at PTC. They do not honor their promotion, nor do they fully understand the fine print of their promotion. After speaking with several case managers and support, I received a different answer every time about the promotion that I was eligible for. If you’re looking to avoid a headache, go to the Fayetteville H&R Block. Avoid the PTC one.

I have used H&R block for the past 7 years. My normal person did not come back this year so went to a different one. The rep was not very knowledgeable and messed our taxes up. I have to ask her to recheck it because it didnt seem right. She did and it was all wrong.
