Ryan from Rooted in Light photography photographed my squirmy, misbehaving 2.5 year old for some Christmas photos. She wouldn’t sit still for more than a second or two, but that didn’t phase Ryan and his assistant/wife Jen. Ryan has a great eye, the patience of a saint and was great with my daughter. Him and Jen worked seamlessly together to help make my vision of the perfect Christmas photos a reality. He is a true master of his craft; really knows all the tricks to photographing children.I was pleasantly surprised at how gorgeous the photos came out, considering my daughter really would not take direction at that time. I have also seen Ryan’s other works and am blown away by the artistry and beauty of his photos. I would recommend Ryan wholeheartedly. Ryan Smith did a photo shoot for my sons band. The photos were absolutely amazing and the compliments were nonstop. His love for photography is very evident, and he knows how to choose the right location for every photo shoot he performs. Also, such a nice guy to work with. I highly recommend him.

My husband and I got the privilege of working with Ryan Smith for our save the date photos as well as our daughters newborn pictures. He is very professional and was receptive to any thoughts we had. Once he has a vision, he runs with it and the results are amazing. Working with a newborn can be challenging and Ryan was patient and calm the whole time; whether it was for diaper changes, feedings or occasional rest breaks. It is clear that Ryan has a passion for photography and it shows in his work. We cant wait to work with him again!
