I was there from 2016-2017,many things were wrong with this place. I went there pregnant with my fiance and our daughter. What the website says how they actually ran the place were not the same. Yes there are sober living people there but also others who arent sober and arent required to be which makes it tough for the families who are working on sobriety. Also there was a time where the sober families went with out an actual case manager or advocate. The one we had when we got there was great and truly tried his best to do what he could, a lot of us really trusted him. But he was let go for some reason and all staff said was we will find someone soon to replace him. Then we all got told we were just going to be added to another case manager there, who was still a great case manager but wasnt too familiar with working with the sober families and some had a harder time talking with him. We were all told it was temporary. There were sober families who were actually doing illegal things, selling drugs and their bodies while there and caught numerous times with no consequences.I gave birth February 2017 and shortly after bringing my baby home, there was yet another change with staff and the sober families were without a case manager a second time. After giving birth I go through post partum depression and not having someone there to help or advocate for you was really hard. Needless to say we were terminated not due to drugs or anything and left in a position where we didnt know what to do next. I am sorry but YES I called it as I saw it, they favored certain people and only helped as much as they wanted to.Its extremely hard to run a place where only some families are required to stay sober and have different rules. You should run the program the same. Addicts feel treated differently all the time and this is a perfect example of that and you were reminded of it daily.

Ive had an opportunity to see the work the folks at this organization are doing and its very impressive. Their dedication and ability to get things done are so badly needed in this sphere.

I would never recommend this agency! I interviewed and was hired for a relief position in their shelter. They wasted my time and that of my professional references. I was hired abiding came in last Friday. I signed all my paperwork including direct deposit and tax forms as well as an application for employment despite having been hired. Which, I was told was a technicality. It’s odd that an application isn’t filled out when applying. The administrative assistant asked me when I was supposed to start training at the shelter. I told her after my cori which, she said she would have done by the end of that day. This was odd because, cori checks usually always take a week if not longer. I was then called the following Monday by the secretary, asking if I could come in that day to take Trauma and CPR training that would last 2 hours.I rearranged my schedule to go in. It took them over an hour to figure out how to get me clocked in, how to locate the software and they were unable to figure out how to give me my own email address. They then started me with computer literacy testing, which had nothing to do with the position or job description I had applied and was accepted for. The software was glitched and it kept skipping answers and jumping forward. At one point it stopped and the secretary couldn’t figure out how to get the program back and had to bring the laptop to get help. I knew after completing the computer test that something had gone wrong. I asked what my score was, at which time the secretary said I have no idea! Seeing that the Trauma modules were actually 4 hours. Over an hour each, including a test after. I asked if I could come in the following day, while changing my schedule further. I was able to get a few hours off in between previous commitments. I ran in to complete the first Trauma Module. I passed successfully on the first round and asked if I could finish up the other 3 hours of modules the next day. I was told yes but, to email first as always. Wednesday, I emailed no response so I called the Office Secretary who then told me that the house manager was back. She had wanted me to train at the residential facility and would call me. Yesterday I received a voicemail from the Director of Finance in H R, Whom I had not met or heard from before. She claimed that they were not following through with the employment process, due to the Computer Literacy test. No explanation, no conversation. No return emails or phone calls. I had excellent references which they checked and another professional job. I have graduate work and an extensive work history in human services. I also, had highly professional references. Although the job had nothing to do with office work, I had previously ran a front desk at a very busy dental office, with over 1000 patient files. I also handled the billing. Besides that, I worked preparing taxes by computer during off Season. I explained this all to them in email. I called explaining the problems with the software that day no response. There is something very wrong with this agency. Very unprofessional, very disorganized and very inconsiderate. The staff pass you from one person to the next and they don’t know what they are doing. They did mention at my interview that all hours and all shifts are available at the shelters. And, now, they have mainly temps working for them from a temp agency. They blame this on problems with previous staff but, clearly something is very wrong within the agency. In all my years of working as a professional, I have never experienced such ignorance and unprofessionalism. Something is very wrong here! what a waste of time! I am just glad that I didn’t devote any more time, then I had already invested. Don’t bother! These people have no respect and there are plenty of legitimate professional human service agency’s out there!
