On the way to the mountains our check engine light came on in our RV. Stopped at Chapman and Coyote Auto on Main Street. Neither would even put a computer on it. Went to Miller’s and they were so kind. Dropped everything and put a computer on it, diagnosed and replaced fuel pump, all within an hour. Charge was more than fair and we were on our way. Highly recommend this place. Good quality and friendly people. Rare to find these days.

I had issues with a rental car not starting while in Payson. I contacted the owner and was directed to Miller Autoworks. I was a stranger walking in the door and a friend walking out. Steve and Conner took care of this car for me, and Conner gave me a ride to where I was staying, so I wouldnt have to wait in the shop. The vehicle was checked out and made safe to drive back to where i rented it. Conner, who worked on it, went over and above to see that I would be comfortable driving it.Trust is an important thing with an auto mechanic. Miller Autoworks has earned mine.

Great customer service!! We were traveling from Phoenix to Springerville and had trouble with our cars new engine. Miller ran diagnostic tests on the engine and said there was a problem with 2 of the cylinders and wasnt a spark plug misfire. He got us on our way. Said the engine would be ok till we got home and back to the shop that installed it. He charged us nothing for his time or for checking the spark plugs. We expected to pay some amount of money, but were pleasantly surprised. Very good shop!

I am totally impressed with this shop! Steve took care of me, After my truck overheated on my way to Payson from Phoenix . I had to leave my truck in his parking lot on Saturday night, I left him a message on his answering machine, then we spoke on Monday, had my truck fixed and back by Wednesday. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

That is the kind of business Steve has clearly built in Payson. I happened to making a cross country trek, and my car overheated in Payson, had to stay the night... 85 miles from my final destination of Tempe after 2200 mile drive. I found Steve online, and he was also recommended by a local oil change shop (who also helped me out, thanks Victory Lane Oil Change). He diagnosed my vehicle and he was very busy... no promises he could get it fixed that day. I sat in his shop and watched him deal with every customer, on the phone and in person... with a personal touch. He cared. You can tell he cares about the community as well. He also cared enough about this out-of-towner who was stranded for the night with his dog and a car load of stuff... and was able to fix my car at a more than fair price and get me on my way. Steve and his wife, and the rest of his crew are great, and I would highly recommend their shop. I hope I can find a shop run by a guy like Steve on my next stop. Thank you!!

Here is a place everyone should go with car problems. Im traveling through and my water pump and radiator blow. I read reviews and Miller Autoworks gets good reviews. I call and he says they are week out. I tell him my story and he says bring it inI have it towed. Syeve is very nice and so is his wife Sandy. She runs the front of the house. They also have a very nice dog. Anyway. It is returned two days later. Perfect repairs and reasonable especially in my situation. Anyone in or going through Payson AZ and needs car help. Steve is your man.

Im very happy with the work Ive had done at Miller Autoworks. They have always been very honest and efficient. Their prices are great and they are even knowledgeable enough to work on European cars (Volvo). Which not every shop can do. Ive had a couple different cars worked on there. Every time the results were great.

Although he was booked up three weeks in advance he was empathetic to our plight and told us that he would try to pull some strings if we truly couldnt find any help. Luckily we were able to get the van fixed but his accommodation was incredibly refreshing

I didnt actually go to Miller but broke down in a parking lot in Payson and the owner Mr Miller actually came out to the parking lot to check my situation and I was able to use a different mobile Mechanic to fix my my problem but Mr Miller was wonderful coming out and helping diagnose thank you so much

My old Ford suddenly wouldnt start, and after exhausting my own skills and every piece of troubleshooting advice from Ford to Youtube, I gave up and had the old girl towed to Miller Autoworks. My dad had always recommended Miller highly (he once paid full boat to have a vehicle towed 75 miles past dozens of other mechanics so he could have it serviced at Miller) and I had used them in the past with good results. Even so, I was skeptical. The ancient PATS (Passive Anti Theft System) was a complete mystery to me. An unscrupulous mechanic could have easily ripped me off, and I would have no way of knowing. Well, Steve and the gang did me right. The cheapest possible solution, and reasonable rates on the labor and diagnostics. Trucks running great, but more important, my faith in humanity is restored.

I’ve worked with them for over a year now on a 19 year-old vehicle that requires frequent repairs. I’ll say with complete honesty that this is the best garage I’ve ever worked with in all my years. Friendly, flexible, great prices, and excellent diagnostics. I live 90 minutes away, but this team is worth the trip.

Steve is an awesome guy. He has a very good sense of humor. He helped everyone equally with a nice manner, although he did not know me and some other customers seemed to be his old friends. He, himself, diagnosed my Honda Accord 99, which was full of my stuff(as I was travelling cross country) and did not charge me anything. some people may even overcharge when they see a traveler in their small town, as they know you may not come back later. he read the check engine code and tested the alternator and told me that I need to replace the distributor. I replaced it myself and I continued my travel with no problem after that. I took the picture of him and his garage as a good memory to keep it.

A bit steep on pricing. They get enough business (almost always have to schedule a week or so out), so they COULD lower labor price in lieu of always charging BOOK price when doesnt take ALL the time stated in the book. THEY ARE GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO though

They really took the time to explain everything to us and do all the tests to get to the heart of our issues. We ended up not doing the repairs, but they charged us a very reasonable fee for the diagnosis. They went above and beyond. Were very happy we went there. Id recommend it.

I was in the office when the last reviewer made her phone call. I would say that Steve was very patience with this person. She was a very difficult person to deal with. Until; Steve finally told her politely that this was not the shop for her. I have known Steve for 15 years and he has always been polite and respectful to me. When I saw this person I got a feeling why she was so difficult.

Terrible!!! Got tired of waiting for help, so I got in my car to leave. The owner came out to the parking lot screaming the f word at me for not waiting for him to get around to speaking to me. Its easy to guess how he would handle a real problem, and nobody needs that. The shop down the street from him was very nice and helpful.

Millers estimate to repair my coolant leak and replace my spark plugs and wires was $805 and the entire job was done by an honest competent mechanic for $375 and all is working well again. Miller admitted he makes money off the parts and insisted on only using premium over-priced parts and doing a host of unnecessary precautionary work, after I explained to him I only wanted to fix what was currently malfunctioning.In my opinion, he is a rip-off artist who does unnecessary work to feather his own nest. I am fortunate that I elected not to use him and seek other estimates.

I am from Iowa and my car broke down on my way home from Arizona. Everyone from Miller Auto was really friendly. Since we got there right as it was closing they kept my car over night so they could work on it first thing in the morning. They gave us a ride to a hotel so we didnt have to walk. I got a wake up call right away in the morning letting me know my car was already done. They came and got us from the hotel so we wouldnt have to walk there. They didnt try to sell me on other stuff that needed fixed. They just fixed what needed done so we could be on our way. I had a great experience and would highly recommend it to anyone in this area that needs car repairs.

4/10/19Well what can I say about Miller Autoworks, a lot. For starters when I first moved to Payson last year, I was looking for a reputable shop. I stopped at Millers and met one of the owners Steve Miller.I told him I was new to Payson and needed new rear brakes they were orginal 8yrs old. I also told him I was going to get 3 estimates. This is what he said, Im going to give you a written estimate so you can compare apples to apples, that exactly what I received.The estimate was printed with all parts listed and exact cost of each.I was so impressed with his obvious integrity that I skipped the other estimates and gave him my business. Its been over 6 months and the brakes and emergency brake that he tighten are perfect.Blessings, John

Wife was driving through on her way to Phoenix when the car broke down. They were able to get it is and fix the problem so that she could pick it up on her way back home. The price was fare and there speed of service was excellent! I would recommend them to anyone in the area

First off I want to respond to peoples post that say he marks up the parts price. YES he marks up the price of parts, you have to take into account that first he had to diagnose the problem, take time to look up part numbers, call NAPA Auto Parts, have your car take up valuable space while waiting for your parts, this all cost money. Second off yes he is more expensive but when you want the job done right with Quality Parts then Steve is the guy to go to. He guarantees his work. I recently had my Ford Super Duty towed to his shop because my fuel pump went out. He said it would be a couple days to be repaired to my surprise he called me that afternoon and it was complete. Thank you Steve for the good work you did, I will be returning anytime I need work done to my vehicles.P.S. I had a friend from out of town visiting, she had her radiator go bad while in Payson, Steve was able to get her in and replace the radiator that same day. When she returned to North Dakota her new radiator started leaking again, Steve Miller honored his warranty along with NAPA Auto Parts and she was able to have her car repaired in North Dakota at no charge. Kudos to you Steve!

These guys are the best in Payson!!! The head gasket blew on my vehicle which was absolutely the worst news possible. Not only did they fix it in the time constraints that I had, he also fixed the AC and I didnt even mention it wasnt working. That little extra care and OUT OF THE KINDNESS of his heart means the world to me. This guy went the extra mile to make a horrific situation the best experience I have ever had with a mechanic! Best Customer service in that town!

Most shops nowadays dont care enough to even look under your hood, they want your money and then they dont even fix the problem the first 3 times you bring it back. Millers is your place if you want your car repaired right and not break your bank.

What a joke of a so called repair shop. I had one of my trucks break down so I had it towed to them. After 3 days of them doing nothing on it but breaking tabs for side panel on passenger and not putting the intake hoses back on, I decided to tell them I am going to tow it back to valley. I showed up and paid them $40 for them pushing the truck 10 yards. HA. I was having trouble loading up the truck and no help was offered. However, the manager came out yelling at my friend and I that we were blocking the side entrance. If they would have helped for two min itd be loaded and wed be on our way but of course not, he continued calling my friend a mother****er and got in his face. Screw these guys and I have contacted Better business bureau, chamber of commerce and let the sheriffs department know that I wanted to fill out a abuse complaint. Good luck. 👍🏻

Did great work with my car, very professional...

I rolled into Payson on my way back to Phoenix and had a problem with my engine. Miller Auto Works and Steve the owner were recommended to my by the local NAPA parts store when I asked for an honest mechanic. I called and spoke to Steve and 3:45 PM on a Thursday afternoon (just before Labor Day!) and he said to bring my car in and he would do his best to get me back on the road. I got their by 3:50 he had one of his techs pull the error codes from my car and determined that one of the ignition coils was bad. He ordered the part, had it installed and me back on the road home by 4:40 PM the very same day! AND, he charged a reasonable fee to do all of this.His shop is very clean, he has a great personality and is very concerned about providing a great customer experience.I highly recommend Steve Miller and Miller Auto Works if you are in need of car or truck repair.

Steve Miller is the most bil-polar person I have ever met. Hes rude and I will NEVER go there again. I am actually in Phoenix right now getting the rest of the work done on my car at Maestro Muffler & Driveline where NO ONE is bi-polar, rude or obnoxious. Payson is MUCH closer than Phoenix but worth the cost and time to go ALL the way to Phoenix to NOT be treated bad.

After being broken down on the side of the highway Steve helped me with some expert advice despite not even using his shop for the repairs. I can tell they truly do want to look out for everyone they can.

Last year I had a radiator replaced on very short notice. They got me in and out within a few hours. I was traveling through on my way to North Dakota. Very happy with the work that was done. On Friday, in North Dakota the radiator sprung a leak and had to be replaced again. I called Miller Auto and they said it was covered with Napa Auto Care Guarantee. On Monday, Napa called with the news that the repair would be taken care of. A short time later Steve Miller called me to let me know they were taking care of the cost to repair.I was very pleased with the initial service and even more impressed with the follow up after there was a problem. I will be recommending Miller Auto, and Napa to everyone!Thank you all for the prompt service!

Took two months for a new engine, went way over budget ($6,700.00 total), gauges didnt work, paid to have it towed back to shop, and called two days later to get an ETA, was screemed and yelled at on the phone, told he didnt want to complete the work and have our vehicle towed from his shop.
