I love this place!! The staff are always very friendly and if I need a part they always go out of their way to find it for me. I’ve rented equipment from them and they always show me how to use it and help load and unload and make sure I am satisfied with the job the machine did. I needed a blower and the guy who works there recommended a great blower.I bought the blower and He put it together for me and gave me a step by step tutorial on how to use it. I bought a commercial lawn mower down the road from them (don’t even want to say the name of this horrible place) and regret it every day because after I spent the 9000 for the mower when I needed a part they were rude. In a way I am glad that happened because I found out about Lopers. The lady who works there is always so helpful and makes sure I always get the parts I need!!! I highly recommend this place!!

First and last experience with these people. Completely terrible experience. I rented a 48” trencher and trailer. The trailer was in terrible condition and definitely not passing NY state inspection. The lights didn’t work and its extremely banged up and its license plate was smashed so much it was unreadable. It was hardly road-worthy. We get the trencher to the job site and start doing the job. We find out the machine whines when it goes to its lowest setting and didn’t think about it at the time. We finished this part of the job (or so we thought) and we returned the equipment and went home. The next day we measured our work before laying the pipe and it was way under the advertised depth! The whining sound was the machine low on hydraulic fluid and it was not going down all the way! (This is lopers responsibility) We called them up to tell them and the lady on the phone was super rude. She insinuated we didn’t know how to operate the machine and insulted us several times while we tried to explain what was going on. She kept saying its a 48” trencher so it digs 48”. I kept telling her thats true if it was maintained and working properly, but the machine was under maintained and not working properly. The machine also had other issues such as the lock not working, the controls being loose, and other issues that the man who rented it to us made us aware of while he loaded it onto the trailer. This means they are aware their machines are in a dangerous state of condition and still renting them out! They told me they are short staffed which is not really an excuse in my book when peoples safety is on the line. The water pipe I am burying will now not be below the frost line, they have completely ruined my project and will not take any accountability. I asked for a partial refund and they refused. They didn’t even want to take notes for the maintenance guys to check the hydraulic fluid level in the machine. We were calm and collected the whole phone call while the lady was hysterical and ended up hanging up on us after completing passing blame and taking zero responsibility. We called back a minute later and she hung up immediately again. I was trying to get a partial refund to match the cost of a 36” trencher because thats pretty much what I got out of it. Because the lady was so rude and kept hanging up, we are forced to chargeback the whole rental as we were not provided with what we paid for. We destroyed a customer’s lawn without being able to complete the job that day because of these guys horrible maintenance. We now have to fill it in and rent equipment again elsewhere and do the job over again, many hours of time we won’t be compensated for. This is probably the 15th or so trench we have dug in the last 2 years, and the lady on the phone was talking like we didn’t know how to do anything. She was extremely rude and condescending and should absolutely be given a lesson on customer service. She had a million excuses. “You probably were cutting a crooked line” “you were doing it wrong” “you were going too fast” “you don’t know how to use this machine” and kept talking over me while I tried to explain the situation. If they would just go check the hydraulic fluid, they will see what I mean. The machine shouldn’t whine at the lowest setting and bounce back up even while holding the lever down. The soil was very very soft, no roots, no rocks, no reason for this massive machine to behave like that. The machine was not working properly. Plain and simple. Bad equipment, Bad customer service, would absolutely avoid this place if you could! I have no doubt in my mind that they will rent the machine and trailer out again without performing any of the maintenance they desperately require.

Friendly knowledgeable staff.They have a large variety of parts in stock for most machines if you know how to fix them, if you dont they have a repair shop that will take care of them for you.Lopers also rents machines.

On 8/27/20 I brought in a chainsaw in for repair. I used this saw for about 1 hour last fall, and put it away. I never emptied the tank, my bad. I replaced the fuel it would not start. I told the guy who wrote up the work order that i did just replace the carb to no avail. I asked how much could it cost, he replied, no idea we have to look at it. And it could be up to a few weeks. 9/14/20 with no call I went in to pick up the chainsaw ready or not. A woman not very pleasant told me first its not ready. when I said Im picking it up ready or not. She went to the back and again said it was on the bench. Again I said Im picking it up. She went to the back again came back with my unit and stated the unit was smoked I was upset and said If it was smoker they must have done it. Oh my god you would think that I cursed her out, called her all kind of foul things, I did not. I asked her about my $50.00 deposit she said that was the charge for checking it. Thats BS they removed 2 allen bolts and removed the muffler/spark arestor That was the extent of their work. clearly not $50.

After the storm this week, I needed a chainsaw to help out some neighbors. I also started a woodturning hobby, so it served a dual purpose. I tried all of the big box stores, and not a chainsaw was to be found for 40 miles. I remembered Lopers, and that they were a name I grew up with as a young man on the east end. They were very helpful with selecting a tool, and getting the right accessories, and they were priced even better than the big boys. I am so glad I got to support a local business while having my needs met.

Family owned and a staple of Patchogue. My father had them service all our machines we used 30 years ago. Now as an adults my siblings and I all still frequent this store/repair shop. This proves why this business is still here now.. great service and knowledge goes a long way.

These people were able to fix my Honda Tri-fuel generator with no problems. Yes it took a little longer than I expected, but that was for waiting on parts from Honda.All the people there are very nice, they really know what theyre doing and tell you what you need to know to get the job done. Reasonable prices for repairs and service. Sell different manufacturers products at a fair price. Right on route 112 east side of the street north of Montauk Hwy South of Sunrise Hwy.

Super nice people there, I dropped off my chainsaw for repair and a nice woman (I think Jodie) took it in. I got it back in a reasonable amount of time repaired correctly at a more than fair price.. I would definitely come back if needed.

Super helpful and excellent customer service I called on the phone asked a few questions they said come on down and in a very professional manner got me out the door in a few minutes with the part that I needed, you just dont see this kind of service anymore and it was a great to experience it on a Sunday when you have so much to do, thank you 😀

They worked on a piece of equipment but it still didnt work .when I brought back had the pleasure on dealing with a young punk that told me to get the f out of his store and called cops on me, I was suprised to see other review with same situation I had been a customer there for 40 yrs dont know weather this punk is running the place now but with his attitude it wont be long before hes back in his moms basement unemployed . Plenty of. Other places in the area where they actually want to be in Business....
