Bob and Frank were terrific! Came in thinking I had a transmission problem because of noises at high speeds; they checked it out and said that it wasnt the transmission but other issues that were part of the steering and wheel systems. They could have charged me a fortune saying it was a transmission problem but they were honest, fixed the issues, charged a fair price, and had the car ready in a reasonable amount of time. Plus they were genuinely nice guys! Ill definitely be back should I ever need other repairs on our familys cars - theyre not just transmissions!

Back in 2019 I had a transmission replaced on my car. I had dropped my car off at aamco in Patchogue. The job cost about 4000 dollars roughly. Less than 24 hours after picking up my car, the engine started racing and the car accelerated out of control. My car crashed and rolled. To this day I have permanent injures and this shop refused to take any responsibility for what happened. Car was totaled and I am injured for life. What a disgrace. The reason I am posting this today, my back is killing me so figured it was a good day to post. If you value your life dont have big repair jobs done here ever.

Forgot to put brake fluid back in my car after doing a bad brake job.. Took my car home ..next day my brake light on dash came on..checked under the hood. No brake fluid!(took a video and pictures) the brake fluid chamber was empty..thought the brake line went..they checked it..no brake line problem the only problem why there was no brake fluid in was that they forgot to put it back in..we had to put in my own brake fluid..

While the jury is still out on this one.... My initial encounter with this business was via telephone. I spoke to Bob (whom I later learned Id the owner). Bob, was friendly and spoke confidently. He came accross as honest, well informed, and patient. After being satisfied with the outcome of the telephone conversation, I had my BMW towed to this establishment from Haberstad BMW, who totally, and egregiously misdiagnosed, and overpriced the cost for the repair of my car! You would think that who would better know a product than its manufacturer, right? WRONG! Bob, called me the day after my car arrived to his shop. He gave me a detailed breakdown of the problem, and the course lf action for the repair. He informed me what the possibilities were, as well as the projected cost. I was pleased with this info. I have no reason to believe that I will be unhappy, or dissatisfied with the services of AAMCO. I will update this review when I pick up my car. At that point, I promise to do the most articulate and powerful review that would guarantee a spike in business for this establishment! Conclusively, Bob has a new customer for life!

Bob the owner is efficient, extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. He is kind, friendly and humble.After 3 different mechanics we luckily found Bob Tibrewala and from the first conversation I felt at ease with a sense of trust. He called me every day giving me an update and in depth explained the issue, the solution and the exact cost bf he touched car. The only reason I marked one star is because I couldnt go lower. They quoted three different prices before and after my car was fixed. When I went to pick up my car; they only had one person that supposedly could handle the transaction and he wasnt there. Even though he knew I was coming and after walking a minimum of 20 minutes to go get my car I was told he would be back in five. I walked to get coffee in the meantime, upon return he still wasnt there and was told give it another minute went to bathroom and came back he still wasnt there. They wanted me to sit in a small box room with other customers. We are in a pandemic, I didnt want to sit I wanted to pay for my car and leave. The car was ready so it shouldnt take that long to ring a bill I pay, get my keys and go. Finally, one guy that was there since I came said he would do it only to find out their equipment was ancient so it didnt work. I walked again to store to get money from an atm when I returned they were charging a higher price and they wanted me to wait because the other man returned. The nerve of them. I also felt my concerns about my health was being mocked. I can careless about other people not believing there is a pandemic. Dont put how you want to risk your health and life on me. I will never go there again there service was horrendous.

Bob was fantastic to work with. I had a warranty from the dealer I purchased the car from and he took care of all the paperwork and phone calls to get it covered. He kept me informed the entire time they had the car and the car is running great! Would highly recommend them for any car repair.

Wow - Bob was fantastic, he was honest, knowledgeable and communicated very well. Bob and Nina are the most honest and thorough people I have had work on my truck. I had some problems with my 2003 Explorer and took it to a few places, all of which kept telling me the noises were just old car things - nothing needed fixing. My husband is very ill and I am disabled, we could not take a risk with bad advice. We took it to Nina and Bob, who knew exactly what was wrong and found another dangerous issue that needed to be fixed. They explained the problem and how they fix it, the prices were fantastic and they work with your situation. I won’t go anywhere else with my truck. Superb work and people!

While on vacation for the resent X-Mas holidays i was driving to Long Island MacArthur airport for a flight out to California when I noticed my transmission was giving me some serious problems, i found the AAMCO nearest me which was in Patchogue, L.I.N.Y., I just made it to there office, I was greeted by the Owner Bob and his secretary Nina who assured me they could take care of my problem while not affecting my holiday plans, I was a back yard mechanic for many years so I knew my transmission was totally burn out, after going over all of my options we decide to replace not rebuild my unit, not only did they do that while I was away Bob dropped me off at an hotel so i could keep my flight and holiday plans and offered to drop my vehicle off when repaired at the airport parking area so I could take my baggage to my vehicle when I landed, they were a great help in an uncompromising situation, I would recommend them to anyone they saved my holiday.....Sincerely Al Wieda

I had an issue with my truck not going into gear, I called one transmission place & they told me I needed a new transmission, which I knew would cost thousands of dollars. I wanted a second opinion so I brought my truck to Amaco on 112 & it was the best decision I made. Bob from Amaco is an honest person who told me that my transmission pan had damage from an impact. He was able to fix the pan & fix the problem at a cost that was much lower than replacing the transmission. I will be a loyal returning customer to Amaco & I would recommend their service to all my family & friends. You will be taken care of professionally at Amaco on 112. Also, the receptionist Nina was great with communicating with me during the entire process. She described every service & cost that was performed PRIOR in order to get my authorization. I had tow car over to Aamco from another auto shop in Selden where I went to buy discount tires. I had some tires put on and my back brakes done and when I drove my car home it moved 3 ft back in my driveway and there was something wrong with my gear shifter I didnt have any park. Then I couldnt start my car. So I called back the shop and told him I had a problem. We went back and forth for a while and I finally called corporate and they had me bring my car in. They told me there was nothing they could do but I knew there was something wrong cuz when I brought my car there I had nothing wrong with my gear shifter or anything else I just had brought it in for tires. I had some tires put on and my back brakes done and when I drove my car home it moved 3ft back in my driveway. My gear shifter was in the park position but I had no Park and I could not move my gear shifter which was a problem that I didnt have when I drove it there and I only drove it three miles home and this is how they gave me back my car. When it was towed to Aamco they confirmed my suspicions that something was done to my car. They showed me proof on paper and with pictures and they fixed my car and for the first time after a year and 5 months I finally felt like I was driving a new car. I had purchased a car last July and had mentioned there was a problem probably with the brakes but I was told I didnt need them until the next year. I have nothing but good things to say about Aamco. First Bob the owner is a terrific human being a very professional owner and an all around decent person. He called me every step of the way let me know what was happening with my car and how it was brought to him and was very honest. Nina who works there is an asset to the business she knows her stuff and shes a very nice person and has helped me through this ordeal and has told me if I need further help from her theyd be happy to help me. The mechanics that worked on my car came out and talked to me when I went to pick up my car told me some other things that I needed to know and they were very nice to to me. This is a transmission place but they do all kinds of mechanical work I know people are nervous about taking your car in for transmission problems but I would not worry if you take it to Aamco in Patchogue because they will be straight with you and they will tell you whats going on before they do anything. They do great work and they helped me through a situation that was very difficult and costly for me.

After having a rough ride for many months, I thought I had a Transmission problem that was going to cost a fortune to have fixed. I took my 2004 Toyota 4Runner to AAMCO to have them diagnose the problem, They found that it was my Front Wheel Bearings that were causing that rough ride, and not my Transmission. Though the job was not cheap, it was a lot less than what it would have been for a transmission job. The also had the job done in a day, And my 4Runner is back to its usual smooth ride. I have had Bob at this shop service our cars since they fixed my daughters transmission. I have found them to be reasonably priced, honest, fair, and extremely capable. I pass twenty shops that repair cars to go there. They fixed my daughters Nissan Rouge Transmission for under a $100, and a local Eastern Long Island Nissan dealer could not or would not fix it....That was outrageous. Bobs Aamco in Patchogue came to our rescue. I also got an education on what its like to do business with an honest repair shops vs rip offs! I use them for all my car services now.

Not too long ago I got my transmission done at AAMCO on 2575 middle country rd..they sucked..they gave me a hard time through out the hole process..long story short they left sum screws out, when I went bk to get it fixed under their warranty the whole shop had been closed down.. Soo I went to another AAMCO on 638 medford ave route 112 expecting the same hardship, I spoke with a John Esposito, GREAT SREVICE..he took my car in no hassle honored the warranty and made me feel good..great relive off my chest..thanks again to my man John I will b going bk to him to get my car serviced in the future.

They ripped me off a few years ago.. i was going to College and I had some transmission problems with my car so they charged me $2,700 pretty much every dime and nickel I had in my savings account at the time to fix it and all they really did was change a clutche...

They charged me full price for like 2hours of work and only spent 15 minutes on my car kept changing prices
