I called the store and spoke with Steve. I work in a military band and often we have to get vendors to sign some paperwork before we can do business with them. I explained this to Steve and he mentioned he was familiar with the form we needed him to sign. It is a single form with a single signature needed. Print, sign, scan, email back and then we can do business. Vendors only have to sign the form once and then we can make purchases any time after that. Slightly annoying, I understand, but that’s just how it works for the Department of Defense.I asked Steve if there was an email I could send the form to. His response was, “Don’t waste my time with that.” I was taken aback by this response and thought maybe he was making a joke. I responded saying, “I know, I wish it were easier, but this is what we need done before we can do business.” He responded again with, “Don’t waste my time.”Never in my life have I had this experience with a business. We are trying to give you money. Now, not only are we unable to make purchases from this vendor, but I personally will go out of my way to avoid using them in the future. This was a very disappointing experience. Your customer service needs much improvement.

I was in need of a new trombone after one of my faithful horns that had served me for 50+ years was headed for the last concert in the sky. I first went to one of the big box online music stores, but also started to check online where to best buy a new horn. In normal times I would of gone to a music store to try out horns, but in this Covid-19 times, that cant be done. In searching online, the name The Horn Guys kept coming up. I went to their web site, liked what I read about them and what they had to offer, and sent them an e-mail explaining what I was looking for.Steve, the trombone Guy at The Horn Guys, promptly replied, and I told him what music I played and the two horns that he had in stock that I was interested in. He took the time to play both of the trombones that I liked and then gave me a review of them, with a recommendation of which one would better meet my needs. Two things about this really impressed me. One, he took the time to do this, and two, he recommended the less expensive one. Meaning he wasnt just out to sell a horn but was being very honest about the best one for me--VERY impressive in this day! This gave me a lot of confidence about this horn and I immediately ordered it.Within just a few days, I had the horn in my practice room and it is the perfect trombone for me, I couldnt be happier.If anyone is thinking about, or in the process of buying a brass instrument, The Horn Guys should be at the top of your list of where to buy it.

The employees there were extremely helpful in my adventure to buy a mouthpiece for my French horn. They brought out multiple mouthpieces from the brand that I requested and let me test them all out in a practice room.It was a wonderful experience and if I need anything else horn-related, I will definitely return.
