I had an excellent experience communicating with Secure Data Recovery, and specifically working with recovery specialist Kim Nguyen. Kim was warm, helpful, and professional. I was open about the fact that I was seeking price estimates from several different companies and she was understanding of this. Secure Data offered a free evaluation (and free shipping of my device to their lab), and Kim followed up in a timely and kind manner - because of this, I ended up choosing to send my device to Secure Data for evaluation instead of another service. Their price estimate was lower than other companies I’d spoken with, and when I did still express concern about the cost (data recovery is expensive!), Kim was more than willing to work with me to negotiate a price more within my reach. I ended up not pursuing data recovery on my device for a variety of other reasons, but if I did this again in the future I would absolutely reach out to SDR and work with Kim again!

Working with Jonathan Nguyen of Secure Date Recovery Services was an absolutely positive experience, from beginning to end. Since I never had to deal with the process of retrieving data from a crashed hard drive before, I had no idea what to expect and was a bit anxious about it. But Jonathan put me at ease immediately with his professionalism and easy-going style of dealing with a customer. He explained the process to me and what would be the possible outcome, which subsequently reduced my anxiety and any unreasonable expectations. Fortunately, everything worked out just fine. I would work with Jonathan and Secure Date Recovery Services again.

From the very start I had excellent service and positive support from Kim Nguyen, but in the end the hard drive was apparently so fully damaged and compromised that Secure Data Recovery was unable to extract the files from our hard drive. My wife and I are teachers, not business people and certainly not millionaires, so the loss is a different kind of devastating. It means that all of the classes and lessons weve prepared are now completely lost. While we did back up some of that work, much of it was not backed up. And while Kim was incredibly supportive and the company offered us a year of free back up that is not going to help to recover what we spent so long creating.Yes, of course we own our error. We should have backed up our files more regularly. But the other lesson here is you cannot count on being miraculously rescued when your hard drive fails--there are failures on hard drives that are so catastrophic that the files cannot be recovered--no matter how much you might be asked to pay.So if there was a way to divide things in this review, I would definitely give five stars for customer service BUT I cannot give a rating for work that was unable to be done because I have no way to possibly judge how that work would have turned out. I am giving one star because Google requires stars in order to post this review, but I dont think that is fair. There is no integrity to a system that requires a rating in order to post about my experience.

Day 1 with big name talent and our A Cams first card goes south. Luckily our Post Supervisor said call Secure Digital. Our luck continued when Scott McMacken picked up the phone and listened carefully and then told us his team of tech wizards would do everything in the book to get our media back on line. 48 hrs later, we were made whole and got back those scenes that can never quite be reshoot with the same authenticity of the first time.

When I plugged my WD external hard drive into my laptop, the laptop crashed. Again and again. Apple couldnt figure it out. My WD warranty had expired. Our home computer crashed in November 2020 and we were not able to recover our data off our hard drive. Based on line recommendations, we contacted Secure Data Recover Services. Our representative was Anna Kazakovtseva. She was very helpful and responsive. One of their techs, Jacob, worked many many hours trying to retrieve our emails. They were able to successfully recover our data and emails. We highly recommend them.

Our microbiology lab servers RAID5 hard drive setup had three drives fail at once, resulting in a total data loss. I contacted SecureData and immediately was impressed by the level of professionalism and dedication to my satisfaction offered by SecureData representatives. Id specifically like to thank Mitch, whose quick replies and detailed responses to all my questions really made the recovery process painless. The data recovery process was quick (~ 1 week) for the number of files (tens of millions) striped across our RAID5 setup. Since our lab is housed within a university, setting up a purchase order took approximately twice as long as the data recovery. That being said, we were provided with the list of files recovered (which were all files in this case), and were happy to know we would have all our data back upon receipt of payment. I cant say enough good things about this company and their quality work! SecureData saved multiple members of my lab weeks/months of retooling research scripts and piecing data analysis pipelines together again from scratch.
