WOW!! In an hour I had 2 trees removed, a vine cut down and the neighbors low hanging tree trimmed so its not sitting on the fence anymore!! I swear the ground in my backyard is cleaner than the before they got here. Not only that, they made sure the front sidewalks and street were spotless. Hardworking, efficient and careful. It did take almost 2 months to get the appointment, wasnt an emergency, but it was worth the wait. The day of the estimate went smoothly. The man took the time to discuss what we wanted and what he thought would work best for us. The price was extremely reasonable. Im not surprised at all the good reviews. Well deserved.

Matt’s Maintenance was an incredibly easy business to work with. Even though they were very busy and booked out for several weeks I still felt that I received attentive and timely service. I was VERY impressed with the work they performed on two old cottonwoods on my lot. It made me realize just how overgrown they were! But after the service they look refreshed and healthy once again. The crew easily got on and out to get the job done and required little direction or guidance from myself.

I contacted Matts Tree Service concerning pine trees that were dead and/or leaning towards my home. Matt responded quickly via a visit to inspect our property. He was thorough, and explained that some trees I was concerned about werent a safety concern. He determined that only 4 trees warranted removal. His company arrived as planned, removed the necessary trees, and completely cleaned up the area where they had worked. Total price for the job was the same as original quote. Another contractor stood us up days before the deadline the City Forester had given us to trim dead branches from our old cottonwood on our right-of-way. Matts was able to schedule us promptly. They also give us a very reasonable quote, and well-reasoned recommendation, to remove the whole tree -- the cost was not much more than just trimming it. Matts tree-trimmers are very talented and they use a bucket to get way up high for trimming. The Aspen in front of my house looks gorgeous. The crew was also extremely friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

We had a blue spruce that had been planted too close to our front porch by a previous owner and needed to be cut down, with the stump ground down to allow the planting of another tree (dwarf!) in its place. Matt provided a very reasonable quote and his team did a great job of chopping down the tree and grinding the stump. They were careful around other plants and an irrigation system, and they cleaned up much of the debris (wood chips in the immediate area, notwithstanding, but we wouldnt have expected them to remove those). Very, very pleased. We were able to re-plant in the same spot due to the depth they got on the stump grinding and would gladly recommend Matts service to anyone in need of a tree removal/stump grinding.

The recent snow storm resulted in parts of my 16 plus year tree coming down. I sent message to several companies that night. Matt’s maintenance got back to me the next morning and gave me an estimate based on photos. I was scheduled for the next day. The crew got here and efficiently went about the task of cleaning up the limbs and taking down the rest of the tree. They were done in less than half of the estimated time, which i appreciated greatly because it’s one of those unexpected expenses. They cleaned up the limbs and such. All in all great service. I had 2 tall pines planted in the 70s to grow up through the decorative rafters over the front sidewalk. It was amazing to see Matt take those trees out without a tap to the house. He deftly maneuvers the articulated crane arm by a handheld remote controller. Large sections of the pines were twisted out of the small space between the house and a huge cottonwood and lowered to the street where the limbing crew fed them into the chipper. Right skills, right equipment, right price and fun to watch! Invite friends for the show! (with ear protection for grandkids!)

Matt came out on an emergency call late Monday and LITERALLY saved my home from splitting in half.... I had a 3-truck massive 60 ft Cottonwood tree, about a 100 yrs old, and each trunk weighed about 15,000 lbs. One of the trunks crashed into my house and if it wasn’t removed that night, it would have crushed my home. The other 2 trunks were about to fall on my neighbor’s homes, so all 3 trunks needed to be cut down. Matt came out in the pouring rain with his massive saw-crane truck to make sure my home and my neighbor’s homes were safe. Matt, along with Root Tree Service crew, where here for 8 hours until 2am, during torrential storms.Words cannot express the gratitude and respect I have for Matt and the men whose perseverance, professionalism, and skill, literally saved my home!THANK YOU!!!!!

Do not use this service if you want a fair price for services rendered. The tree pruners were at my house for about 10 minutes and I asked them not to trim one of the trees in the bid they agreed that it definitely didnt need trimmed so they cut one branch off of one of my trees and trimmed up a spruce. I talked to Matt about the ridiculous bill that I received and he told me he would lose money on my job if I paid anything less than $268; what a horrible business model and not customer centric. Needless to say, I will find a different tree service for the fall.

I called to get an estimate to get some trees trimmed and my slash pile chipped. They came by a few days later to give an estimate and said he was two weeks out. I said ok, put me on the schedule. He said I will call you in two weeks to schedule?!? I never heard back. Thanks for wasting my time.
