I’ve been training in several grappling arts for 13 years now, have competed and traveled to train at other schools nationally and internationally. Otomi Martial Arts and Prof. Gonzo create a great environment for first timers and experienced grapplers to grow and improve. The coaching staff truly cares about improving the student’s lives on and off the mats, also each has their own impressive lineage and experiences to share. Couldn’t recommend this location more to anyone wishing to learn martial arts both kids and adults.

Coach Gonzo and team have been a blessing to find. Taking the approach of integrating nutrition with different styles of workouts really worked well and is keeping me motivated on my journey. Coming in with no prior knowledge the team did/does a great job at walking through the basics and planting the vision for the future as to how it all comes together while challenging those other students that have been practicing the art for years. I would highly recommend checking them out regardless of your current skill set.

This is my daughters 3rd year in BJJ. She attended a school in Castle Rock until they shut down suddenly as a result of the COVID Epidemic. BJJ had become a critical part of her growth as a person, she had just started competing in IBJJF international tournaments and she was coaching other children.We were desperate to find a good school that would challenge and support her development as a person and as a competitor.We tried Otomi when they first moved to Parker. Im happy to say that Coach Gonzo has become her mentor and the Ciao Terra methods are very advanced and refined compared to the techniques she had been taught. Shes also extremely anxious to start Kick Boxing again once school is over.She is very happy, which makes me happy. We have tried a few other schools, many are very good, but none has given her the focus, the skills and the shear joy she experiences at Otomi.

I thought I was joining this place to learn jiu jitsu, I didn’t realize I was joining a family at the same time! It’s a great community of people who are all encouraging, super patient, and willing to help you learn.The three main coaches all have a slightly different style they like to play and they’ll help you figure out a style that works best for you. Coach Gonzo is great with kids too. From his patience with them to how he communicates with them it’s great to watch.I truly wish I would’ve joined sooner. If you’ve been on the fence about joining you’re going to regret not coming in earlier. It’s one price each month for any and all classes you want to attend so it’s definitely a great value on top of everything else.

Excellent jiu jitsu instruction at both the youth and adult levels. A great community & family and just all around good people.

I really enjoyed the Kickboxing classes here. The instructors were really kind and professional and helped me, entry level, learn the moves the right way and understand what I needed to do to progress. I recommend everyone try this place out for whatever you are interested in. The kids programs looked amazing!

Summer camp has been such a great experience for my kiddo, its fun and learned so much!

I can’t say enough positive things about Otomi and Coach Gonzo! He helped our son gain more confidence in his own abilities and pushed him to work through obstacles. If we hadn’t moved we would still be going here. Coach even helped us research new Jiu Jitsu gyms in our new state so our son could continue his practice!

For the last 5 years I’ve struggled with losing weight and staying in shape. I’ve gotten expensive gym memberships, tried running, and all the diets one could try. But still the pounds kept coming and I started losing my mobility.I came across this dojo on a Facebook ad for a 42-day challenge. I come from a purple belt in shotokan karate so I figured martial arts might just be the way to go.My first impression of Professor Gonzo was surprising. He wasn’t trying to wow me with his knowledge on BJJ or who he trained under(which are the elites). He wanted to know where I was at with fitness and what my struggles were. He made it about helping me.I must say that my decision to have Professor Gonzo help me and my dedication to improving has been the best I’ve ever made in recent years. Having to step out for the first week of training during WARMUPS because I couldn’t keep up was though. But coach told me “it’s ok we’re just starting to get you moving again”. It gave me the confidence to keep trying and push myself to my limits, step out, then get right back in to work again.Now after only 1 week of giving it MY best, not only can I complete the entire warmup, but I can make it through the entire BJJ lesson. I’m not longer rolling into bed or struggling to get up off the couch.Not only am I learning an amazing combat art to defend myself, but I’m also regaining my mobility, my confidence, and my health. Most importantly I’ve never seen results this tangible in such a short amount of time.All things considered health, the amazing community of people encouraging you to push forward and happy to see you come back, the incredibly humble Professor, and the knowledge of defense, I can’t imagine a better place to train at. What started out as a health challenge for me has now become a home away from home where I feel welcome and happy to be there, and of course choking people out has its perks!!

As a completely new student Ive been very pleased with the welcoming and teaching spirit here. I like that it is not a fight club, but a martial arts community with a family friendly atmosphere. Mutual respect is the norm among coaches and students. I definitely recommend.

Having visited a lot of Jiu Jitsu gyms in Parker, Otomi is hands down the best! Professor Gonzales has made a gym that has had the best culture, environment, and teaching in the south metro area. Their focus on the traditions and respect for the art is shown in what they teach every single day. In my opinion, the best place to go if you are looking to start or continue BJJ!

I have been going here for years, the community is great and it’s great for families! This is a great place for children and adults to learn martial arts. I have learned jujitsu here, Ranulfo has been a great teacher and is very knowledgeable in several martial arts.

These two run an amazing program. Fun and engaging for the kids yet disciplined. My kids are learning incredibly fast and I can see their confidence growing. The family classes are a blast and a wonderful way to stay fit together. All of the people in the classes as well as the parents and coaches made us feel welcome immediately.

Coach Gonzo is really great with kids. He is very patient and instructs so they understand. He is however very disciplined and he will make sure the kids dont mess around or fudge their workouts. He demands they try hard.Note: there is an annual fee that is not included in the monthly fee. It is $120 per year and is NOT prorated no matter when you join: If you join in January, $120. If you join in November, $120. They could not articulate a good reason for not prorating. Ultimately I decided I wanted my son to go here so I just sucked up the non-prorated fee.

I have trained at Otomi for over 8 years and have learned from Shihan Gonzales for over 10 years. I studied at other schools prior to Otomi, all of which left something to be desired. Gonzo is an amazing instructor, with a wealth off knowledge to offer. If your looking for a great martial arts school with a close family feel, this is it.

When I started looking for a place to learn jiu jitsu in Parker Otami kept popping up on my search. I looked further into it and decided to take a free class. I’m so glad I decided to go. The first time you go it is intimidating, but once I walked in Coach Gonzo and Kim made me feel welcome and comfortable. The classes are great and Gonzo is very thorough in his teaching. The team as a whole is very welcoming and helpful. Everybody wants everybody to be great. Going to Otami and starting jiu jitsu is one of the best decisions I have ever made.
