Good experience. Doctor Mandrea explained what he haws going to do and did it very quickly. I did not give 5 stars because I would like to have a sheet of paper telling me what I need to do with area treated once I get home

My experience here has been great. I’ve gotten treatment for my acne scars at a couple places in the past, but I’ve seen the best results here.Dr Mandrea and his team are very professional and easy to work with.

Dr. Melissa Lambert is professional, very knowledgeable and accommodating. She immediately had a diagnosis for my kids whom she saw . the appointment was quick, staff was friendly, office was able to see both my kids within a weeks time and we were in and out within an hour. We also got samples of the cream my kids needed before my rx was filled. Very pleased with our recent visit, both my kids and I have been patients for many years now and will be coming back.Thank you!

I would’ve given them a five star rating had they not called me at home to come in early for my appointment and then had me wait 45 minutes. Only downside to my most recent visit. Have usually been taken into treatment room within 5 to 10 minutes of arriving.

Dr Mandrea is excellent. The paperwork required upon arrival is redundant. Electronic records would relieve patients from writing their name, address, SSN, and signatures multiple times. If my insurance hasn’t changed, I shouldn’t have to sign all those documents.

My visit was quick and professional. I was seen on time and had all my questions answered.The only issue was the website was showing the practice was closed on the day of my appointment. I called and was assured that they were open.

My first visit at the Park Rigde office made a good impression on me. Dr. Lopatka listened to my concerns and answered my questions. And the Medical Assistants were efficient and caring professionals. I tend to be nervous when visiting for medical reasons. Dr. Lopatka & his team put my mind at ease.

I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Lemelman! I had a consultation appointment scheduled to discuss removal of a lump from my left leg that I was extremely concerned about because it appeared overnight and had grown in just two weeks’ time. He offered to squeeze me in the same day two hours later to surgically remove the lump because I was so concerned about it and because I have an upcoming trip that I didn’t want to miss. He was kind enough to adjust his schedule and “round up his troops” to do the procedure. Apart from this generous gesture, I cannot say enough about how kind, caring, compassionate, understanding and gentle he is, along with his assistant Crystal. I felt a bit faint throughout the procedure and both Dr. Lemelman and Crystal could not have been kinder in making me more comfortable — from offering me cold packs for my back and neck, to turning the AC in the room cooler, to playing music, to bringing me something to sip on and assuring me that I was doing great throughout. Dr. Lemelman is very thorough, knowledgeable, patient, and a fabulous surgeon. You are in great hands if you choose to have Dr. Lemelman as your plastic surgeon. A+

I checked in promptly at the appointment time and the waiting room was clean and orderly and seats were designated and spaced apart (COVID- style). Minimum waiting time and was shown promptly to a room awaiting Dr. Scurto. The doctor was friendly, professional, and made sensible recommendations; I was very pleased with the results of this follow-up appointment.

First visit to this practice and making the appointment was easy and they had appointments for the following week. East parking outside the building and elevators to access their 3rd floor office. Checked in filled out paperwork, after my temperature was taken I was taken into an examination room. The assistant took a bit more information and I was given a gown to change into. The PA was in less than 5 minutes later. She was very thorough and found a suspicious spot on my nose which was froze and also a spot on my foot. She explained that it was a cold freezing burn so I knew what to expect. Alls well a small scab on my nose but good to have a few suspicious sites checked by the professionals. I will follow up in a month.

Went in for mole removal. My first visit, since my previous dermatologist retired. Getting the appointment was quick and efficient. The visit itself went smooth and professional. I had the bothersome mole removed painlessly. I recommend.

I didn’t have insurance and was quoted $160 for a visit with a PA plus extra if shots were needed. The PA Britney (sp) was very nice. However when I checked out the visit was now $234. Literally the only “procedure/treatment” done was reviewing my chart and giving me some free samples and a new RX. Called to speak to someone about it and it was “sorry, you signed”. Absolutely ridiculous for a 10 minute visit but even more so that I was quoted wrong. OR is the $234 the amount typically charged to insurance companies knowing they don’t get the full amount reimbursed? How about your staff look into why the charge was wrong and call me back? Nope, she couldn’t be bothered.I was not a new patient.Update: had appointment in July and was called and told the PA wasn’t there any longer. Next available was 9/2. I arrived and was told me it was for next week. Hmm, like I’d write it down wrong after I was eager to get in and they called me to change it? Horrid customer service.

Appointment took a whole 5 minutes and provided me very little insight to my issue (doctor looked to be in a rush and all she did was take pictures of my condition), the front charged me the incorrect copay and still hasn’t refunded me (it’s been a few months), I requested an alternative prescription because the medication previously prescribed wasn’t covered by my insurance and I still have not received an alternative or even a call back (again, it’s been months since my appointment so I’ve only been getting by using the samples they provided) - it appears they only care about getting paid and care very little about patient satisfaction.

I was a new patient who recently lost her job due to Covid. I scheduled my visit prior to insurance expiring for my yearly body examine. Dr Leslie Bernstein was amazing. I explained my situation, she is a very compassionate Dr, she didn’t like one of the moles on my arm. She asked me if I could come back into the office on the following day to have it removed. I arrived the following day, she removed the mole only to find out it was cancer. I had to have a 2nd surgery to remove additional tissue (thankfully no additional cancer). I am very grateful that on my first visit Dr Bernstein listen to my situation, was proactive and truly cares about the well being of her patients.

They canceled my appointment without notice. Unprecedented, and unprofessional. Ive taken 2 days off work to deal with them so far, out of a total of 5 for this year. Its only January.All problems could be solved with improved communication. This is simply unacceptable when dealing with peoples health.

Overall the doctors and staff are unprofessional and unconcerned. The second doctor I saw here, Melissa Lambert, NEVER called me back after I took several blood tests to determine what was wrong. In addition, the nurses never called me back with the results. They only gave my primary doctor and I the blood test results after I called them 6 times and my doctor called them twice. (This was over a two month period.) I was very disappointed considering the doctors looked at me sincerely and then told me that we will find a solution. There are several other offices in the area where you can seek proper treatment by medical professionals who care. Do not waste your time or money at Lakeview Dermatology.*NoteI wrote that I saw a doctor, but both of the people I saw were actually physician assistants. I would seriously do some research before you make an appointment.Update:My insurance didnt cover the $800 worth of blood tests that were ordered.

Dr. Mandrea has done my botox and fillers several times over the past couple of years and I constantly get complements. He takes his time and does a meticulous job and gives me a natural and beautiful look every time. I recommend him highly.

I read the negative reviews about the service at Lakeview. I cant speak of other Doctors, but I did have a good experience with Dr. Leslie Bernstein. I have seen several Dermatologists in the past and can pretty much judge if they are thorough and caring. I went to Dr. Bernstein for the first time. She examined me from head to toe and informed me of things that other doctors never saw. She explained the treatment for two different problems. She prescribed medication to treat the problems. What she prescribed seems to improving the problem. I found the staff at Lakeview very friendly and helpful. I have had a very good experience with Dr. Bernstein and the staff of Lakeview. I will continue my treatment there in the future.

Unacceptably long wait times with no reason given for the delays. You want to avoid this place at all costs... Update 5/14/18 - and to add insult to injury they charge me $100 for a necessary follow up appointment that literally lasted 2 minutes where the PA said the test results of the biopsy were fine.

I had mohs surgery this morning and the people were awesome.

My family (Mom & sisters) LOVES this place because of Dr. Mandrea! BUT the last time I brought my mother in for a visit we had a bad run in with a girl at the front desk...😤 she was HORRIBLE has no clue what customer service is! She yelled at my mother about some “paperwork” Like FILL IT OUT & HAVE A SEAT (when we checked in) my mother only asked what it was for she said: WILL CLEARLY ITS BEEN OVER A YEAR SINCE YOUR LAST VISIT OR WE WOULD NOT ASK YOU TO DO THIS! I explained the situation to my mom we did what we were told by little miss loud mouth. Mom got up and asked how long before I get called in (about 18 minutes later) the guy actually got up to look to see what was the hold up SHE piped up and said WELL however long the Dr. takes, Dr. Mandrea ALWAYS runs behind I don’t know why everyone makes a big deal about it but you SHOULD be next and you can HAVE A SEAT! I seated my mom again... and as we waited I heard her talking about her argument with my 75 year old mother!!! and was laughing about it with the guy next to her and another blonde girl that had walked up from the desk behind. My mother is no joke LAKE VIEW DERMATOLOGY SHAME ON YOU! I did get her name from the girl who eventually took us to our room even she said that girl has a bad reputation for always arguing with the patients! WTF Dr. Mandrea don’t we pay you enough EVERY VISIT to hire at least descent employees?! I’m taking my mom somewhere where our business is appreciated & respected! And where the employees realize the our business is what helps put money in their pockets too!! Brittany you can thank your co worker for giving me your name so I can let the world hear how nasty you were with us for our last visit with you! Shame on the other two for laughing inside of doing the right thing!

Dr, Mandrea and the PA staff are top notch. The office staff can be a bit abrupt - not sure of the reason for this. Its very odd. I noted the same complaint in other reviews. Its not the Pay section its the check in area. I guess they are happy to get the money so that puts them into a good mood. Beware of the billing department - that is a real treat - NOT!

I went in to see a dermatologist for my first visit with them. Dr. Lambert came in and asked about my concerns today. Since I have never been to a dermatologist I thought I would get a thorough exam from head to toe. Dr Lambert spent all of 5 minutes with me, looked at my back, and then removed a spot that she thought had to come off to be. Never gave me a thorough exam and out the door you go. Again first time patient. I will not return for a yearly visit with Lakeview Dermatology but schedule a visit with another dermatology office. EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED!

If I could give zero star I would.Unprofessional and rude staff.Service quality is poor. However, charges are high.Appointment time delay is minimum 45 min.If you want to be treated by an assistant or student instead of a doctor - this place is for you.Think twice before you consider Illinois Dermatology Institute.

Dr. Mandrea is outstanding in his professionalism and knowledge in his vertical. He easily evaluated, diagnosed, and remedied my skin issues with great success. After doling thousands of dollars on ineffective products and procedures, I was giving a topical that immediately went into effect and cleared up my blemishes. While the office is a rather hole-in-the-wall and outdated, it is worth the visit.

I used to see Dr. Tracee Blackburn and always had a great experience. She is no longer at this office and now Brittany Scurto is taking her appointments. I waited an hour in the office before I decided to leave. None of the staff cared that she was so late or offered to tell anyone when they would be seen. I was also never contacted about my biopsy results.I will not be going back to Lakeview Dermatology now that they no longer respect patients time.

Not sure why this place has bad reviews. Im glad i took the leap to come here because I had an awesome experience here. I was literally in and out in 30 minutes!I waited in the waiting room for about 1 minute after I got all the new patient paperwork done. After i got in the room and was asked the typical questions from the assistant, when she left, I waited about 2 minutes and the NP, Mimi, came in.If youre unsure about this place request for Mimi the NP. She made me feel so comfortable, was not pushy about precipitations that she suggested to me. I had to decline because I just turned 26 and i was losing my great insurance in 2 weeks. She also removed a concerning mole with ease and wasnt painful. I also had questions about my sudden onset of acne, and she gave me over the counter suggestions that was at a decent price for being over the counter. She understood my struggle with buying expensive products because I go to nursing school full time so Im unable to work. Wonderful experience with Mimi.When I was checking out, the lady at the desk saw that Mimi wanted me to get Cerave facial samples. When I looked in the bag later when I got home, I was so shocked. They gave me all different kinds, eye serum, facial cleanser, and body lotion. It made me so happy as a women, a goodie bag full of facial products!!😍 I didnt know I got many options! Amazing customer service here. I would recommend this place to everyone. Dont listen to the reviews, see for yourself!!

The appointment itself was “ok”. We were first time patients for my son’s minor acne. She took some time to do extractions but beyond that she prescribed a topical & said Collins would be in to explain more? I guess being a derm is above taking the time to talk about the products & application. He is only 16. I will say she has a kind personality. I just didn’t feel she was devoted. Just another patient. We were also her last appt & It showed!We checked out. I asked a question about rescheduling, I was told to go to another girl for that. When I did she was busy on the phone and she said it would be easier to just call for a follow up appt and make a consult appt for myself. Very irritating and rude! Then I saw some great products and was willing to buy BUT no one knew any info nor wanted to help. Now beyond irritated. There was nothing I could do. No one cared. It was almost closing time & IT SHOWED! We have excellent insurance and we will not be coming back. I have several choices for better treatment in all aspects! I have to say when I made the appt, called to confirm and asked for exact address info. The vibe was short/ rude/snobby and not friendly. I should have taken that as a sign for what was to come. There are drs that will take their time & staff that will treat you with the respect and service you deserve. I feel for someone who pays a lot out of pocket w insurance or self pay. Go elsewhere and invest your money and skin.First Google review. But it’s that necessary. Maybe they’ll change their staff or ways. Probably not! I see several complaints, so I know I’m not alone.

Dr. Mandrea was so sweet and caring towards me from the first appointment. Initially, I was in only for a consult and a specific skin test with I believe a nurse practitioner and Dr. Mandrea was leaving for the day almost out the door but he came in and saw me and helped me decide what treatments to undergo - mind you, my appt was not with him, so that right there meant alot as far as care. From there we did treatments and it went well. Definitely recommend Dr. Mandrea.

I called numerous times because I was given a prescription that literally burned my face off! The staff doesnt care and they just pass the buck to someone else everytime I called!!! I left three messages with their staff to speak to Dr Lampert and each time I called back all theyd say is yes we see your message and someone will call me back. I never received a call back from anyone. I even had someone on their staff literally insult me by asking me if I know how to read directions. My problem was in no way life threatening but it is important to me and they treated me like I was not important at all. They just want your deductible and then push you out the door. I do not recommend anyone to go here! And Id rather just deal with this problem on my own then go back even if they said it was a free follow up!!!!

Good service for skin cancer treatments.

I left my work in the West Loop at 4:15 dropped off my son at home in Rogers Park and then made it there by 615 which was the time of my appointment and the staff told me they wouldn’t see me because I wasn’t 15 minutes early. As I left I pulled the door kind of hard and it hit the wall so the staff yelled at me down the hall that I should not come back. I won’t.

I just called to schedule an appointment and the woman on the phone was so rude i want nothing to do with this office.

Office staff is horrendous.
