Had a unique large one-off stainless steel public sculpture, which needed quite a bit of text engraved on three large heavy pieces. Contacted at least 10 companies in Los Angeles who could not handle the work due to the large size or other problem. Brack was able to take on the job using a large jig to rotate the work precisely. It turned out superbly and only took a few days of turnaround time. Extremely pleased, was a real lifesaver for my project, would not hesitate to go back here.

I purchased a rifle receiver that didnt have a very good finish on it so I decided to have it laser engraved and then have it Type III Hard Anodized.I found Universal Metal Marking Co (UMMCO) on the internet and I am sure glad I found them. I I filled out their Request for Quote link on their website sent a couple of sample pictures of what I was looking for, and received an email back from Brack of UMMCO first thing on Monday. He explained about the process and the type of artwork I would need to provide them and the depth the laser needed to go for what I was looking for.I asked him if he knew anyone that could convert the art to EPS so his laser could do the job. He gave me the number of Moon Digitizing to convert the files. I contacted them, sent them the art work and I got the digitized files back the next day.I dropped the part off with Brack and emailed him the digital files, he told me he would schedule in my part into production.I got an email about a week later that my receiver was ready for pickup, so I headed over to UMMCO the next morning to pick it up. WOW, it far exceeded my expectations and the detail was out of this world. The closer I looked the more amazed I was, he explained that the guys had worked on it like open heart surgery to make sure all of the detail was captured.I took the part to Anodizing Industries to have the part Type III Hard Anodized. It took them 3 days and the receiver turned out way better than I expected, and the detail UMMCO had done was even more amazing!I have added pictures to show the whole process from start to finish.Thank you Brack and all the people that worked on the receiver, If I could give you more Stars I would. Every once in a while, you run across a business whose standard practice is other businesses goals. This was my recent experience with Brack Hudson of Universal Metal Marking Company (UMMCO).I had taken a surprise graduation present I intended to give to my son to UMMCO to have a special message laser engraved on it. The message was to be engraved in a unique and specific size font and required the text to be positioned in multiple locations with precision. Most concerning was the fact that, the item to be engraved was irreplaceable so, accuracy and precision was imperative.I sat with Brack who patiently worked with me until I was completely satisfied with the mock up. He even printed out exemplar text and affixed it to the item so that I could get a true visual perspective of how it would look when completed. A reasonable fee was agreed upon and a completion date was quoted.Given the initial professionalism I was shown, it came as no surprise when Brack informed me the work was completed ahead of schedule.
