Me and several of my co-workers attended the Principles of Management 1/2 day workshop. I did not get anything out of this that I didnt already know. I thought much of the information was dated. And it was presented in the most generic of terms. It mainly concentrated on managing people and less with managing business activities like projects or tasks. Id also mention they send your employer feedback on how you performed in the workshop but did not tell anyone that attended this would be done. Not that it would have mattered, but it would have been nice to know this.You would get more out searching the web for specific management skills you want to improve on or at the very least a Management for Dummies book.
