I went in last week to mail a prepaid package. I used UPS simple rate, where any package under 50 pounds ships for a flat fee depending on its dimensions. For some reason, the label always prints a random weight. This time it said 7 pounds. I asked the lady at the counter what the deal was with that, because it never even asks for a weight when you’re making the label. She informed me that because my package actually weighted 17ish pounds, I was going to be charged the difference. I responded that I used simple rate, but I was just asking why the label always prints with a random weight. She told me she didn’t know what simple rate shipping was, and again that I was going to be charged the difference. She also asked if I wanted a new label, but that the UPS store cannot honor any promotions or pricing that UPS.com does. Weird. I’ve used simple rate before with no issues, but here I was starting to second guess myself. Her explanation was “Well that’s UPS. We’re the UPS STORE. We’re different.” Uh… alright. She again warned me I’d be charged for the weight difference but I just gave up and took the gamble of shipping my package how it was. I ended up actually getting a REFUND from UPS.com because I overestimated the dimensions, lol! Even if the UPS store has different pricing than the website, the employees should be able to speak knowledgeably about what those prices/promotions are. Kind of strange that she hadn’t even HEARD of simple rate before. What a bizarre experience. 2 stars because the employees are otherwise typically kind and the process has otherwise always been quick and painless.
The line was long when I got there, but the staffs processed my Amazon return very quick.
The staff at this store are unprofessional. I recently dropped off a package and the person who took it acted like a five year old. I left the store wondering if my package would make it to its destination. It did. But I also tracked it from home to make sure it got there. I didnt need the nonsense and Ill be going elsewhere in the future.
Waited 20 minutes then had them tell me I had to pay for the “free” amazon returns to package the items and print the labels, despite the amazon returns stating explicitly its free. Forget this place. Not helpful associate didnt know where the returns could be scanned from in the Amazon app. I just assume they didnt want me in there based on how I was treated.
Staff is rude and never returned my Amazon package, so I ended up paying $100 for an item I dont even have. Stick to Chicago Ridge.
Thank you Kristy PleckiMs.Plecki was very helpful and kind, when my husband and I went with very important papers to be Notarize. And Thank You to the woman whom Notarize the papers. Will definitely go back, we had no idea they had that service there.Mary Ann & John Zahorik
Friendly, efficient staff.Great fast service.I love their funny birthday cards too.
Nice convenient location, but the staff....rude, rude, rude (every time its something, never easy trip), need customer service training ASAP! I hope the management will send secret customer and see how they serve people.
Easy and quick and they can even pack your items for you for a fee. Nice location too.
They were very affordable with quick, friendly and professional service. David
Excellent, personalized care at UPS. I’ve had our business Box there for over 10 years. I’m most impressed by Christy who manages the office. She always goes that extra step. All employees are personable. As I walk into the office, they usually have my mail in their hands ready to hand it to me before I get to the desk.
Great customer service!
This is the BEST UPS in the neighborhood. Excellent customer service. A++++. I’ve been to Ridgeland and Evergreen Park but they are horrible, not helpful at all and lazy. Palos Heights stuff always tries to help me with either printing or scanning. Good job guys😉
Very helpful staff. Quick and easy.
This was the worse store everrrr. They were never open on time, lost packages and were rude and full of excuses. They must have gotten new people in because it has dramatically improved. Now I go there again and have had no problems. New people are there on time, helpful and friendly. Hope it continues!
I recently opened up my own business and I was using their location to sip out a few of my packages. One day they talked to me about marketing my business using some of their services, so I gave them a try. And the first time we printed and mailed out 2,000 postcards from their location we got an immediate response from our customers. all of as sudden we began getting customers say we never knew you were here. They really helped me grow my business, and now I have them print everything for me. My business cards, brochures, posters, and the thousands of postcards we mail every quarter. They are very friendly and their service is EXCELLENT.
The best place for any ing of a business.
Really bad experience YL seemed to relish delivering poor service . USPS from now on.
I will never be shipping from this location ever again.I asked to speak to a manager 3 times in total who was sitting in the back and was told shes too busy to come talk to you I then asked for the store managers information to contact them about the service and was given the 800 customer service number when this is a franchised store. How insulting.Go somewhere else to do your shipping.
Quoted 141.00 for shipping two packages, drove a mile away to ups store in Chicago Ridge shipped same packages for 107.76...will not use Palos Heights location again!
Very positive
By far my favorite UPS Store!
Understaffed.
