AWESOME SERVICE! I will never forget to inform everyone of my coworkers and relatives about this fantastic hotel. I am extremely pleased and delighted with their hospitality and wonderful way. They never let me down despite my high expectations. The rooms were very spotless and well-kept. Thank you so much for such a fantastic service. Highly recommended!
Positive: Hotel employee at the front desk provided exceptional customer service to include a warm welcome when we checked in. Great location, very clean, spacious, great pool. One of my favorite hotels in Palm Springs. Negative: Everything was great as always
Wonderful Staff!!!!!! Lovely bed and sheets. I didnt have to use the sheets I packed. (I need at least 400 thread count)Terrible food. Leave the facility to eat or bring your own food. Poor choices, poor preparation and just awful. Not 4 star at all. We bought sandwiches from Ralphs. Very disappointed.Big problem: I booked this getaway to think, drink and sit by a pool. They close the pool at 7 or 8pm ( ????!!!!!) Yep theyve discretion. If you are in the Hot AF desert why do you light and proudly display the pool at 8pm and then kick everyone out? When the sun goes down FINALLY and you can NOW really enjoy it without having a heat stroke, you close the pool! Even the Holiday Inn pool is open to 9 or 10pm!!! Oh and really big bug ran us off our beautiful balcony. I had to kill it with a pool towel.
The best hotel experience by far. I had a great time with my family. Since the moment I got there to check in. The person checking us in was great. Has very good customer skills. Our room was clean and plenty of towels. The server in the pool area named amore was great. Made sure we were taken care of. Over all was a good place to stay. Would stay here again soon.
Saw no where on your website when I booked that cost for parking was $35 a night. Your complimentary breakfast is a total bait as its just some cereal and bread. You have a nice full breakfast laid out telling people If you want something decent you gotta pay up. Only one toilet paper roll in our room. When we ran out I called the front desk and asked for some more, 1.5 hours later I had to call again and than finally person brought one for us. No sheets for the pullout couch bed, and the extra pillow and blanket in the closet had hair on it, that was disgusting. Over all dispointed at the amount of money spent for level of service and cleanliness.
I stayed here with a few friends and I do have mixed feelings about the hotel. The hotel was beautiful but when we were talking to someone at the front desk they had said we’d be on the top floor and later changed us to the 2nd floor for absolutely no reason.Secondly, I dropped my phone behind the bed and when I went to grab it the dust bomb hit my face, along with the dust there was random peoples trash such as candy, a deodorant lid and a broken outlet. My allergies didn’t have a great time in that situation, I was sneezing for a good 10 minutes. The pool was decently sized, lots of people which I love. The drinks were top notch but I wouldn’t recommend the food.
Positive: Great location great hotel clean and spacious. Great pool. Large and unCrowded . Friendly staff. Negative: Everything was great
Pretty hotel, amazing pool. The rooms are extremely clean with adequate noise control from the outside. I hate that they charge $40 per day for overnight parking...this is Palm Springs, plenty of parking available- charging for it is a little obnoxious.
Two adults with a 9-year old child stayed 4 nights for Spring Break. Note we are Marriott Platinum Elite and got upgraded to a Resort Suite. Location is great and you can walk or 2 minute drive to main downtown with tons of dining and shopping. Service was 4 star but little issues outlined below drag it down to a 3 star review. We were told upon check out that we qualified for the discounted parking rate of $25 due to our Marriott status, but no parking was charged on the bill at checkout, normal rate is stated at $35 per night.Overall the property is just a bit dated in the public areas. Gates and railings are worn, some light fixtures in the halls were not working or had old bulbs.Inside our room was fine, but the sliding glass door would not lock and was pretty old (was not a safety issue since we were on the top floor). Nice recent furnishings and super comfortable king-size bed. We were at the end of the hall so super quiet as well for a good nights sleep.Staff definitely well trained and did their best. Hotel was sold out so pool seating was at a premium; you had to get inline by 9am when it opened to get a good set up. Unfortunately food and beverage options were limited to pre-packed foods and grilled items only. Pool staff kept drinks flowing but only from 11am on.COVID review - so no bell hops to assist with luggage, trash bins at times were overflowing since everyone was getting lunch and dinner delivered and there was a strange absence of large trash receptacles in public places. No maid service is given for safety protocols.
Positive: Nothing. Horrible staff. I had a great experience with one female staff. The sheets had cigarette burns plain as day. The tub was very moldy and dirty. Negative: There are no cameras in the parking lot. Homeless people tend to check the parking lot and steal from cars. The staff don¿t care& carry a very rude tone & an unhelpful experience. They said they would cancel my extra night & sweared he had did. He lied
We had an item stolen out of our room by housekeeping and when we contacted hotel they basically accused us of lying . I know for a fact, 100 percent, my item was in that room. Hotel manager didn’t seem to care and chose to argue you with me instead of helping me.Sadly will not stay again or recommend this hotel.
This place is a total fraud. Save yourself the money and go ANYWHERE else. The pictures look nice but the service is terrible, rooms are disgusting, and overall feel was depressing. Again, book anywhere but here.
Im pretty sure this place has the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The pool is gorgeous. There was no vallet parking (they said they did not have enough employees) the main bar was closed until the evening time, despite it being full with people just hanging out. I will stay here again
Positive: Excellent service. Hotel employee who runs breakfast and all the poolside team are amazing. The hotel is clean and front desk staff are great. Loved the cute couch in our room. Location is close to the downtown restaurants and shops. Not quite walking-dis
Updated older hotel, nice large king suite which was comfortable and clean, quite between the rooms. Unfortunately the room was quite dark and we had a view of the parking lot with broken roof tiles. We had wanted a suite so we had a table to play games on with our friends who were in another room but ended up going down to the bar area or outside where there was well lit seating, and plenty of it.On the Marriott site there was a section of details you could check and they would accommodate if possible. I checked foam pillows, extra towels. The pillows were all feather and we were short towels. I went down to ask for another when we first arrived and they were out :(.The pool was nuts when we arrived at happy hour on a Saturday, loud, busy and drunk. Sunday it was night and day with many checking out, quiet. The pool was foggy and dirty tho, which is what we came for..needed more chlorine Im sure. The location is .5 miles walking from every great restaurant we wanted to eat at in downtown.COVID: was disappointed to see not enough guests wearing masks in the lobby where there were supposed to, nor was the staff reinforcing this. No masks required in the pool area, which was hard to find this week even under the new orange tier. Each Marriott in the area was implementing completely different process as far as social distancing, what was was not open, and the webistes arent up to date, so call!Lastly, disappointed that although we knew the restaurant was closed we were told there was food at the pool bar which once closed was also served in the main lobby. Really like a grab-n-go menu. Chips/salsa were so disappointing (like from a movie theater) that we didnt dare try anything else. Yet they said absolutely no outside food/beverage allowed in the pool or bar/lounge area. An employee indicated that they are having a hard time getting people to come back to work, preferring to stay home on their unemployment..therefore the limited food menu.Excellent, personable bar tenders Chrissy and Jeremy at The Rocks who made us unique custom drinks and gave us excellent service.Lastly, I had gotten the Marriott credit cards upon booking which translates to $250 off your stay once applied. When we went to check out we forgot to apply it as they had already charged our card something about us going over $1000 which then causes them to charge it automatically and it distracted me. I then called and they declined to honor it. Will try to call corporate to see if they can help, but otherwise may now not only not have been able to use it, but will get stuck with a $75 annual fee for a card I had planned on cancelling once I got it anyways.
This is a beautiful hotel with breathtaking views of Palm Springs. If you’re a Marriott member this is definitely the place you want to stay.
We had the best stay! From the beginning to the end of our trip our family was well taken care of. We had a slight hiccup with getting from and to the airport and Jackie (the manager) and Shawn saved us! The hotel room was updated and new, comfy beds, and pleasant aesthetics. The pool, hot tub, and pool grill was open. Music by the pool was great. The walk into downtown was about 10 min, and easy for a toddler to manage. We will definitely return and consider staying at another Bonvoy hotel!
It’s a good large hotel option. Nice lobby and pool area. The thing that lets it down is its ridiculously loud in room air-conditioning units. Bring ear plugs. Shame.
Starting from the your walk in the door youre greeted with a refreshing drink, the rooms are spectacular, clean, modern and cool. Everyone is super friendly, the pool and pool service is top notch. Pool bartenders are the best in the desert. The bloody marys are the best!!! Would reccomend to 1000xs.
Awful hotel !!!!!! I do not advise there is no one to come !!!!! 1) non-professional receptionists, when I woke up at 7 am from lack of air, the air conditioner in the deluxe room was not working. (although they should check in advance whether it works or not) and called them to come to fix it, I waited for an hour! then he went down to express his opinion, they began to make excuses and answered rudely instead of apologies. 2) there are no towels and a dirty bath (and this is a 4 star hotel and costs 350 dollars a day?) 3) they took the sum for three, but did not give the third person a place to sleep! and didnt give an odeallo and a pillow! 4) the hotel manager did not behave professionally when talking with the client (I did not yet understand who she was, she was not dressed in uniform and had no badge) and the last thing !!!! I think that both the visitors and the owners of this hotel should read these reviews and put the hotel at 1 star so that there is no ambition for a good hotel !!!
Beautiful inside the lobby, the rooms need some work. I am alwaysvery happy at any Marriott, but not so much here in Palm Springs. Good pool area for sure! Maybe it was just due to Covid that the hotel seemed dull. With all that space in the lobby and lounge area, there should be sonething going on. Employees were great just like any other Marriott.
I havent had any bad experiences. I enjoyed my stay. I would recommend it to my friends.
Positive: Good staff. Reasonable price Negative: Expensive parking, no restaurant open after 6pm Refrig did not work. Hot water in morning must have been an option
Had the noisiest Air conditioning unit I have ever heard. Not good for sleeping. Hallways were hot.25 dollars for handicapped parking. Wont be going back!
Beautiful hotel. Second time we’ve stayed here. I don’t not believe they were ready for volume off visitors staying. Only witnessed one front desk staff out of the 4 i saw, actually have good people skills. She was the only one offering bottled water to guests. Housekeeping seemed as if there weren’t enough to cover the facility. 4:45 in the afternoon and still no housekeeping to replace towels. One of the elevators had housekeeping supplies left in the elevator while a large number of guests trying to get to their rooms. Had to wait in line for those. Pool staff and good service was excellent. But overall, not up to Marriott standards.
Beautiful hotel, very helpful and pleasant staff! I will def be coming back here next trip to Palm Springs
Gloria at the front desk is super sweet and considerate of the guests. She made sure I could keep my room for the two nights (I’m air crew) and allowed me to check -in early. Her attitude is very positive! Thanks for providing great customer service to us Gloria!
The hotel is beautiful however the staff not so much. From the minute we walked into the hotel you could feel the stuffiness of the staff . My husband made these reservations for celebrating a marker in my health. He booked a king suite, called the hotel the day he made the reservation asked about service animals. Joseph stated not pet friendly but will take service dog.. great. As we were wrapping up the checkin with William, my husband says now my service dog. I spoke with Joseph he stated no problem.Attitude changed dramatically, so much I had to walk away. We got taken from the 5 floor king suite to the 1st floor dungeon.Went to room, room was nice, bathroom ok no towels at all ...handicap . I guess they assume with a service dog you must be handicapped. Not always the case..We walked out of the bathroom and our dog was chewing on a baggy of Marijuana..Went to the desk and all 5 of them cackeled and just stared. Rude completely rude...
I would that my favorite part about this hotel was the location and pool area. The proximity to downtown Palm Springs was great. However, the service was horrific, the limited food choices were absurd, and there were many fees that were undisclosed such as the parking. We asked the housekeeping for some fresh towels, and it took about 3 days for them to come. It was also the same situation for a mere role of toilet paper. The coffee maker also took about 10 hours to trickle out like molasses. So if you are planning to stay at this Hotel, I would suggest that you bring your own coffee beans, toilet paper, towels, and food. However, we certainly had a lot of laughter with this comedy of the absurd! Overall, the hotel service was unreliable and unorganized. I saw the same guy at the front desk as well as doing all the other jobs in the hotel. 👎
Nice room. The screen door was broken and was torn. Would have been nice not to walk so far. I am handicapped. View of the pool was very nice. The pool service was excellant!
Negative: Yes I wish they had put on their website that their spa was closed. That was one of they things we were so excited about and why I didn¿t book the other hotel who had a lazy river but no spa. Also our air conditioner was broke and our room did not get
Positive: The sink was plugged up it took 2 days to get it unclogged, what kind of hotel chargers for parking to the hotels guest? Its not even covered its very disappointed.
Our stay was good and enjoyable. The only thing was Raj at the pool he was an absolute jerk to us.
Positive: Generally clean; nice room; nice pool area, but too many kids; no restaraunt.
Front desk is awesome. Take great care of you!!
Its an expensive hotel but service and amenities were lacking. Very poor quality coffee maker with no plug point, no bath robe, no microwave etc. The room was nice but not great.
I was so thankful to your staves for treating me nicely. When it comes to the place, it is so relaxing. I highly recommend this hotel to all my friends and colleagues. The last two days, I had my stay here, and I was so grateful that I experienced your majestic place and amazing services. Thank you so much, guys! See you next time!
The room was nice and the pool was amazing I hope to visit again soon and the food was a little pricy but was good.
Expensive parking. Expensive old rooms. 2 out of 3 elevators were broken. Would likely never stay there again. Lobby is nice.
Woah! Cant wait to come back again! Booked this place for a excellent rate at ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ I love this resort and Im extremely thankful I stayed at my favorite place for less than what I generally spend.
Perfect Stay love this property, from the pool to the location to the rooms id rate everything 10/10 shout out to Alexandra at front desk excellent customer service will definitely return
Its 2:47 am and theres music blasting from the next room. Screaming and loud doors being slammed at 3 in the morning! This type of behavior is apparently acceptable at this horrible hotel. Pathetic!
Positive: The hotel was very well furnished and exceptionally clean.
Highly disappointed. Most downmarket Renaissance Ive ever stayed in; definitely not 4 star. Barely even smelled like your typical Renaissance, for starters. Should have been a sign. Many things woefully in need of attention & repair -- dirty elevators with handprints & goo, partially picked-off assortment of tacky glitter foam stickers on hand sanitizer dispensers, threadbare/mismatched pool towels, crumbling plaster on the walls, copious trash/food/liquor bottles sitting outside of rooms and elsewhere throughout duration of our our stay, even right in front of entrance. It was painfully laughable considering the early pool closing time (7pm, not 10) was reportedly due to COVID deep cleaning but not even trash was picked up? Please. Decor was nice and location was good but upkeep and cleanliness was on par with a Motel 6. Staff was also not very warm except for the trainee who checked us in. Morning front desk guy acted like we didnt belong there and had a million irrelevant questions. Not recommended.
Beautiful hotel with beautiful views. Nice and clean. We picked up food and had to eat it at the hotel. We decided to eat outside but it was kind of chilly. A nice worker came and asked us if we wanted the heaters turned on. Gym is closed at the moment which was a bummer but understandable with the pandemic.
Positive: The pool area and the food was good. Negative: Stains on the couch. the shower was very slippery, definitely a safety hazard.
The hotel common areas are great. The rooms need to be updated and refreshed desperately. Just a coat of paint doesnt do it. They need to be brought up to Marriott standards. The pool and view you cant beat. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but I think there are better Marriotts in this area.
One of the best Marriott properties ever. Beautiful hotel great staff friendly service all the things you could ever ask in a four-star hotel. Beautiful pool.
This hotel looks better on the outside then on the inside. Outside is well manicured landscaping and is clean on most of the property. But when you enter the rooms it felt like i checked into motel 6 or one of the cheaper hotels. I guess i would have had to check into a suite to get better offerings. I expected better then what i thought i would get.
In pure excitement my family of 5 loaded into our rented mini van and drove down to Palm Springs. 7 hours and 400 miles later we were busting at the seams to get out and explore our destination... Renaissance Marriott Of Palm Springs. Was it disappointing that we didn’t have our rooms available for our requested 1pm check in? A little, but we wouldn’t let that damper our experience. Was it disappointing to find out our room wouldn’t be available at 4pm, at 4:15, at 4:30.... yes. But we still held out hope for a good experience. What was disappointing, was standing face to face with the front desk supervisor, William and be talked down to- interrupted- and embarrassed. As a customer, we are only trying to patronize this business. It is our first time traveling as a family in over a year, due to Covid. To have the joy and excitement of this experience ripped away by a hostile front desk person and untimely customer service is extremely disappointing. The lobby restroom wasn’t clean or stocked. The king suite was basic, not worth the price! Pool is super packed and closes at 7pm! WTH!
Was only a guest here. The hallways were very dark, a lot of screaming kids, we had to find a waiter to get our drink order. We found it just ok. Good luck.
The pool area is beautiful, however this property is not managed well! I got food poisoning from the restaurant and our room balcony was not safe for my granddaughter! I will never stay at this dirty and disgusting property ever again!!! Totally DISGUSTING!!!
Keeping it clean and classy enough to be relatively comfortable.
The outside wasnt kept nicely. The rooms were outdated but still nice. The staff seemed a little rushed when I checked in but its in a great location and its pretty affordable.
Very nice place, but laundry facility is tiny if you end up needing it, and the rooms dont have a good place for 2 people to eat if you want to spend the night in with your spouse.
Positive: The pool and the location Negative: Checking in agent was not friendly and rude. My wife got bitten by fleas in the room on the first night and then I got bit on the second night. We wanted the room cleaned and they took all afternoon to get there. No follow up on the fleas...
At first we were impressed with how the hotel looked like. It was late when we checked in and the front office person was very nice. His name was Charlie. In our room the cabinet door where the fridge was in was broken. We had to ask twice for someone to come and fix it. Then the sink was clogging up. We asked for that to be fixed twice and not sure if anyone did ever fixed it . The water drained slow but we decided not to say anything. We didnt know due to covid that theres no house keeping service. We were not told that. We had to go downstairs to the front and ask for towels. You also had to take your garbage to these cardboard boxes that were made into garbage cans placed throughout the hallways. Or put your garbage outside your door for it to get picked up. There were no garbage bags provided to do this either. So we had to make sure to keep whatever plastic bags we could find to put the garbage in. We put the garbage out on day two and no one ever came to pick it up. The water from the sink came out looking like milk. There was a sign there that explained that this was normal and safe. We didnt know what to think. The pool area was nice and large. Chairs were spaced out nicely and the service at the pool was good too. The bathrooms outside your room were always out of paper towels so I had to use my clothes or walk away with wet hands. Due to weather back home we had to stay 1 more night. I called from my hotel room to ask if they had any rooms for Sunday night. No one ever picked up the phone. I called twice and each time I let it ring for at least 5-10 minutes. The rooms at this hotel ran about $400+/per night. I wouldnt not stay here for that price.
This hotel is really nice, we were upgraded to a room with a balcony facing the mountains which was pretty. Rooms aren’t cleaned because of Covid, (understandable) but it kinda sucks. The pool is nice, lots of kids so if your looking for peace and quiet this hotel isn’t it. I think it’s bs that they charge for parking, $25 per night that’s really nickel and diming the customers. No restaurants are open, the bar is though.Walking distance to shops and other restaurants not too bad. 3/5
Great service. Covid compliance. Beautiful property. Restaurant needs to open
Great hotel! Very spacious
Halls are wide enough to get my fat cart through no prob but staff lose a star for staring at me in the lobby. Take a picture itll last longer.
Im not sure why this hotel was highly rated. I dont have a smart TV and my coffee pot is so old that it is very noisy when showering in the bathtub. And the cleanliness of this hotel is very poor, you have to pay for parking separately.
Housekeeping is is so clean and nice. Very nice hotel ♡ only thing that sucks is that there is no microwave in rooms. It is all the way downstairs in the laundry room. Laundry is complimentary so I guess that is good....
Positive: Very clean, friendly staff. Negative: Shower head in bathroom needs replacement
Shoutout to Chris and Sean nicest employees ever highly recommend going here
Very nice downstairs area, but the rooms need to be updated. The air conditioning in 2 different rooms were so loud that they needed to be turned off in order to sleep.
Most of The staff were extreme nice. However, I spoke to one woman who worked at the hotel who wasnt very nice at all. When my husband checked in at the front desk a nice gentleman that checked him in said that if you want to get something to eat the grill will be closing soon. We had a few questions, so when are got up to the room, I calmed and spoke to the operator. I asked to be transferred to the grill
Positive: The pool and location were the only good things about this hotel. Customer service was awful. Negative: The worst customer service and poorly planned layout. Not enough elevators and rooms are VERY far from the elevators. Very unorganized and understaffed.
For families, couples, even if you are single, this is a very good hotel because they have the best and most appropriate rooms for you. For its great service, I will always recommend this hotel.
We had an ok room, good service. I wish they would have signs to point out the stairs since the elevators get crazy. It’s not a safe situation in this pandemic and the other guests seemed perfectly happy walking into the elevator with us. They do have a back elevator, but the doors are marked: associates only. If they could stop the elevator from stopping on multiple floors, that could help.
Check In:I was not greeted by concierge or bellhop to assist with my many bags. Front desk was friendly and got me checked in quickly. Room was not correct or what I paid for but they switched me the next day to the correct room and gave me free items from the gift shop as a courtesy.Housekeeping:Non existent due to covid. This means you had to go to the front desk to get towels/blankets, throw your trash out in the hallways in designated bins or leave it by your door for housekeeping to collect. Very inconvenient.Pool and Service:Pool area was excellent and well maintained. Staff worked very hard to upkeep area and bring drinks and food. Hot tub was drained due to covid, bummer.Room Quality:Exceptional balcony and pool views. Room was outdated and in need of renovation. Air conditioner did not work well in room which made me leave the balcony door open all night. Furniture & basic supplies were adequate.Location to downtown Palm Springs:Not bad. 8 min walk to casino and 10-20 min walk to downtown palm springs where shopping, eating, and drinking is. Ubers were expensive so I ended up using my car when possible.Parking:$35/day, yikes. Lots of free street parking nearby.Overall: Id stay at this hotel again when Covid isnt an issue. It seems like it has a lot of potential to be a great hotel but lacked necessities due to Covid.
Loved the safety precautions the hotel has in place. Distancing and masks required, staff worked very hard in keeping the pool area clean and sanitized. All staff members gave excellent customer service. Clean and beautiful hotel and a great getaway. We will stay again!
My stay at the Renaissance Marriott in Palm Springs was among one of the most cozy experiences. I was able to settle in..check in... order good... enjoy a meal.. attend my conference and even enjoy some of the local flavor during my stay. The fir was room, elevators and above all service was far superior to many other places I have visited. Very glad I was able to settle into my room, Which was extremely comfortable....., and I was able to debrief myself from the conference and even finish some work.
Positive: Nothing...Staff was rude. Negative: Staff was rude. Had issues with neighboring room and asked hotel staff to move us to different room and they declined. I asked to pay the difference to upgrade and they declined.
This has to be the worst hotel I’ve ever personally stayed at. I’m not quite sure where they got some many good reviews. The rooms were dirty. (Leaking toilets, bugs, rooms not turned over when coming in, broken amenities), the staff was not very hospitable (it was an issue even asking for some water to have in our room) and they always seemed confused about anything going on at the hotel. I do not recommend if you want to have a care free stay somewhere.
Best value in the desert. My new go to!
It was average. Kind of run down and not the cleanest, but it was average. Dont know that I would stay there again at their prices.
No pool view room on a weekday!
No floats allowed. The thermostat was set to 69. Too many rules for me.
Not a good value
They don’t have working AC in the rooms and when you call front desk they are not apologetic at all. The kids pool was so dirty and no servers will go and help you on that side of the pool. Don’t spend your money here, horrible customer service.
This is one of the nicest places one could stay in Palm Springs for its beautiful landscape and its location near downtown. This place is kept extremely clean, updated and charming. Staff are keeping up with Covid-19 sanitation requirements every opportunity they get. This place is only a few blocks from Agua Caliente Spa Resort and Casino.
Convenient location, room is comfortable, front desk super friendly. Only issue is parking cost of $35 per car per night, too expensive.
Very happy with my stay here. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lively atmosphere and located close to downtown. Pool and hot tub were a highlight. Beds and pillows were so soft and comfortable. The only negatives would be the older looking, outdated bathrooms and perhaps the food. Bathrooms could use an upgrade as my faucet was leaking, showerhead looked about 20 years old and had only one working setting. Air-conditioning in the room was also not working well and when it did turn on, sounded like it was on its last legs. Left the patio door open instead to cool off.Food here was pretty decent but the portions small and prices high. That being said, I was more inclined to eat elsewhere with better value. Overall I would return here due to the staff and great central location to a lot of shopping and restaurants.
We had such a wonderful stay celebrating our anniversary! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such friendly faces. The aesthetic of the hotel lobby and bar were great - it sort of felt like we were in Vegas! Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. We spent a few hours at the pool and it was awesome! The pool is huge and there are plenty of chairs. Oh, and the pool drinks were great too! We were about a 15 minute walk from downtown, which was perfect - we walked everywhere we wanted to go. We definitely bookmarked this hotel for the next time we are in Palm Springs.
The room was very nice, the pool area was nicer. The location is super convenient. Many great places to eat within walking distance. The hotel bar also seemed very pleasant every time I walked by. Staff was fast, friendly and efficient. I have no reservations recommending the Renaissance Palm springs to friends, family, and colleagues.
Wow did the staff blow it. They seem to have no interest in keeping standards or establishing a high end experience. Dont let the pictures fool you!1: after informing the front desk this was an important trip for me and my wife, we were immediately directed to the service elevator. We seriously were asked to ride a stinky elevator and walk past the dirty laundry chute. Impressively, there is actually a large placard explaining this route. The stunning experience was made all the worse once we realized there was a proper elevator just behind us that worked just fine2: there is no doubt that the lobby is really impressive. It’s a huge open space and they have what looks to be an awesome bar and fire pit area. However, to see Two 16-year-old boys playing on their phone, sitting in wet swim trunks and a towel, totally un supervised by their parents in the bar area was laughable.3: I actually try to make a massage reservation with the hotel spa. It seems like millennials have taken over this spa, despite the fact they had availability for the last appointment of the day, they seemed a little interested in actually offering services. Furthermore, their communication style was nearly unintelligible.I would have no problem staying here for a work trip, but they seriously need some updates on professional staff standards. You have better options in Palm Springs
The staff at this hotel was able to accommodate our early check-in request and even upgraded us to a junior suite at no charge due to our Bonvoy status which was a nice surprise. The room was great and the bed was extremely comfortable. The pool area was great and they did have poolside drink service which was nice. All employees at the Palm were extremely friendly. This is a beautiful property and in a nice location. I will definitely be back.
Customer service at reception left a lot to be desired. The valet was never out in front, had to make an effort to seek him out every time. Breakfast staff was aloof. But the hotel itself was nice with beautiful views.Separate shout out to Shane in lost and found department for helping me when I thought I had left something! Thanks!
The general manager is one of the finest I have seen. As a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum member, I see over 50 different hotels per year and different managers. The general manager was one of, if not the best one. What started as a minor discrepancy turned into a blessing since I got to know the general manager. She deserves a raise; she went above and beyond, making my stay and the stay of my guests an enjoyable one. FINEST GM IVE SEEN.
The property is lovely and close to everything downtown we love. But most important, during our two day stay we were not once disappointed in the service. It is clear all of the staff value exceptional customer service. From airport pickup to check-in and check-out every staff member was attentive, cheerful and responsive. Lots of hotels have a pretty lobby and a shimmering pool but very few have exceptional staff like we found at the Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel. We will be back often.
From Check in to check out, this is the best hotel in Palm Springs. Our Junior Suite with Pool View was spacious, stylish and incredibly clean. Pool service is great and Buckets of Bud Light (6) were only $24. Burgers ordered at the pool were excellent as well.! Decent Fitness Center and the Breakfast Buffet is good as well (includes an Omelette station). The Shuttle to downtown was fast and efficient and the drivers are really nice. Just spent my birthday weekend there and we will definitely be back! My favorite hotel near Downtown and the staff act like they really enjoy working there. That was refreshing! Nice Pool area too!
