The Utopia Property Management Team of Palm Springs has handled every aspect of my rental property since it first went on the market. They have been outstanding in managing the property, obtaining tenants within days of it going on the market. The tenants have now moved to a different property. They were able to find new tenants in a very short period of time and took care of everything.

The worst company in Palm Springs !Andrew Merskin probably the rudest and INEPT agent I ever had the misfortune of dealing with!Im still waiting for my 3200 deposit ! I have no collection Liar! I also had one post, which you removed, because you dont like the truth to be posted! Also did you ever get an office in Palm Springs, because when I went to find out where my deposit was, there was only a mail box!

I had a very good experience with Utopia overall until my initial property manager left.Since that person left, my property was being managed by no one, the old property manager had to come back because it was so bad, then most recently had a property manager who started to be more responsive and productive until I decided to sell my property.I wouldve given this review a higher rating, but Im completely disappointed in the professionalism of the process after my tenant moved out. I gave a rating a two because of the previous service I received.To explain, my tenant moved out and Utopia wanted to sell my property. I decided to move in a different direction for various reasons, including the iffy service I received during the latter part of my time with Utopia.After the tenant moved out, Utopia offered to refund the tenants deposit back to simplify the process. I was also told that my account was in default prior to, which is untrue considering it had only been a couple of weeks since the tenant moved out.Come to find out, Utopia charges a $250 fee to refund a deposit back to the tenant. Of course I was not told this verbally over the phone when speaking with the property manager. They also did not send the deposit back for me to send or the tenant information so its not hard to see that Utopia decided to take my $250 on the way out.I reached out to a supervisor to discuss this further and I was referred back down and nothing was done to resolve the issue. Due to this, I am glad that I cut ties with Utopia and would not recommend them to anyone considering.To response: Please show me the deposit being refunded back to me within a week and when it was offered to refund the $250 if I listed with Utopia. Both statements are false, but I will change my review if proven otherwise.

It is a 120 degrees in Palm Desert today. Our A/C went out and I called the emergency line. The woman told me there was nothing they could do because the HVAC companies were unresponsive. Then she suggested I go for a ride in my car to cool off. Really???? Wow. Very unprofessional. STAY AWAY from this company.

Im a Los Angeles native, I decided to move to Coachella Valley. It is an ordeal to try to find a rental home. I called this company for options but the woman I spoke with was extremely uptight, rude and simply Dry. I think her name was Gina or Gia, she made it EASY for me to look at their competition. Found my home and am Happy. Beware of nasty attitudes from the lady at Utopia. Good Luck in your home search !

If you like being nickel and dimed, this is the company for you! It has been one headache after another since we tried to rent our house using Utopia as our property manager. First, they told us we could list the house for well over what houses rent for in Talavera. After we finally moved out of state, they only THEN asked us to lower the asking price. This, along with many other red flags, left a bad taste in our mouths, and we decided to sell instead.After we cancelled our agreement, Utopia refused to return our keys so we could get them to our realtor, and demanded we pay double what they originally quoted us for painting and maintenance. They then tried to blame us for the property not renting, claiming we listed the price to high (when it was their suggestion to begin with). After reminding them of this, they flipped again, and said that $2,495 is a normal rent for Talavera (yeah right).And to top it all off, they charge you $150 to advertise your home. They claim this is a fee they pay Zillow, which seems to render their services all but useless. I could advertise with Zillow and the other listing sites, for zero out of pocket, and get the same results (likely better).All in all, this is a poorly run company, that seems to be trying to take advantage of people and their limited finances during the pandemic. For shame.
