I still have not received a copy of my original return filed by their tax preparer. I caught a huge mistake before we filed last year and this year she made another huge mistake despite having done my taxes for years, she failed to include a very large part of my income.They admitted to the error and said they would pay the taxes and free taxes next year. I have spent so much time trying to deal with the IRS and not to mention paying a large sum to the IRS,Mr. Bobbi Magi was extremely rude to me when I stated there should be some coverage of the amount as they are liable by law for that mistake.He said he wanted me to come to the office so he could explain how it wasnt a mistake(This was after tax preparer admitted twice that it was her error). I told him I did not feel comfortable because I felt it was a manipulation and would like everything in writing. He responded, Wow. You are so rude. Call us when you get yourself together. Ill pray for you.I filed a better business bureau complaint which they stopped responding to and I cannot get any information or the original return. I would steer clear. The level of errors and lack of accountability/unprofessionalism I have never encountered in my life.
The folks at Maggi are just plain super.Help and services are outstanding.
Met with Maggie Tax Advisers today for the first time. I had heard of them from 970-WFLA commercials and their Saturday program. Plus in the true spirit of the overwhelmed, I liked their name.The initial visit is just to go over expectations - mine and theirs. I am getting ready to retire in a couple years and feel swamped with all the details and what to do with my 401K and when to take social security and do I pay off the house and will I have to work as a greeter at Walmart, etc, etc, etc. I the fears that someone facing retirement gets. (By the way they do not charge for the first visit.)I met with both of the owners which was, for me, impressive. They seemed competent, confident and sincere, and all the things that you would expect. Well dressed but not overly so. The office was pleasant and they gave me all the time that was needed. And they both took notes! (points for that.)We seemed to get on the same page and I am going to become one of their clients and well, I will keep you posted....
