So much to pamper your pets. My only issue is the cameras to view your pets isnt placed where you can see them everywhere in their room and I didnt see beds, which I thought came in the most expensive package. Everyone was friendly and helpful, especially as I had to schedule at last minute due to a possible hospital stay.

Really nice place. High end feel. Has a lot of play area space for the dogs. Our Chihuahua loved their Barkery cookies. Look like human cookies. Smell good, too.

I have been bringing my pups to the PH location for some time now, whether it be for grooming or vet purposes. Its been one of the first places I could leave one of my pups to get groomed without the need for anxiety medication prior to, so I have chosen to take them repeatedly. However, it has been a tall order to get them in for grooming in a timely manner, which Ive been patient about. My second to last time going, my pups needed their vaccines update. They wanted to give them their vaccines while there for grooming, but I have one pup that is a bit difficult. Therefore, I specifically made an appt, which was confirmed that I could be with her at time of vaccines. I went to pick them up from grooming and they didnt even know which dog was mine, the collars were on wrong AND they gave them their vaccines without me being present- After I repeatedly made it clear that I needed to be. I recently brought one pup back to get groomed out of the sole purpose of her being familiar with the place, and as she has had to deal with other health issues (that I took to another vet to handle..) I wanted her to be comfortable. I was specific of what cut and what not to do. Nevertheless, my requests were ignored. Additionally, was charged for a teeth cleaning that I can promise never happened-As 1. my pup just had teeth extracted and a dental AND still had sutures (funny that wasnt noticed or mentioned from all that brushing) and 2. there is absolutely 0% chance my pup would let anyone close enough to opening her mouth for someone to brush her teeth. The experience is so beyond frustrating, that it was literally laughable. I will not be taking my dogs here any longer. Such a shame because it used to be great.

Apparently the staff stereotypes your dog.... if your sweet puppy even SLIGHTLY resembles an “aggressive” breed, they will deny your incredibly friendly dog from playing with other pups. We dropped our SWEET boy (lab, fox terrier mix) off for day care and boarding, only to find him in his suite NOT playing with others. NO temperament test was completed, just flat out stereotyped and denied the services we were paying for. If they would have told me at drop off that he wouldn’t be able to play with others then we would have NEVER left him at this facility.

I get my dog food here and I just adore the employees. I always have a great chat with whoever is working and they are all so helpful.The store also has reasonable prices and great options on good food.

This will always be my favorite place to take my dogs to get groomed. Moved out of state and I just cant seem to find a place better than this.

Couldnt rate a 5 star because their website doesnt show their products and whether or not theyre in stock. So I had to call the store to check. I give the staff a 5 star for their pleasantry and helpfulness on the phone and in the store.

Wonderful place. Wonderful folks. This morning I happened to need a stray scanned for a microchip. I called ahead and was told to bring in the dog. Less than five minutes later it was done and we were out of there.

I’ve been a customer of Royal Pets for one year now. I can honestly say every time I’m there I receive exceptional service. There is always someone to greet me and my animal(s) with a friendly smiling face and the staff, no matter your need, is very helpful and caring. I have purchased food and pet products with no issues. Very high quality at affordable price point compared to the “box stores”. I have a large and a small dog who have received excellent grooming services there. The veterinarians center will not oversell me on tests or procedures that are unnecessary. They give you their honest professional opinion always. We also have my one-year-old Portuguese water dog going to daycare. He is always super excited to go!!! I know he loves going there even more than I do...The coined phrase “let’s go to doggy day care!“ Gets him right in the car. We recently started taking our new kittens there. Again, exceptional professional service. They fully explain services and treatments with no surprises. I highly highly recommend this establishment.

The vet was great however they didn’t scan in any of her vaccine records so when we showed up for our grooming appointment, we were turned away because our vets office was closed and unable to verify her records prior to her groom. Incredibly disappointed.

Jake( a groomer at royal pets) was very unprofessional and a complainer too. Royals as a whole is good, but Jake the groomer needs to be removed. Never met someone so unprofessional, and not sure why the owners haven’t taken any actions to have him replaced.

Jake from the grooming department turned away my dog from his scheduled appointment at 11 today..usually I favor royalpets as my dogs groomers go to; but Jake was so unprofessional it turned me away completely. First I brought my 2 small dogs in for their appointment, and right away he says “bring a leash next time” (I forgot mine and was carrying my pups in) and he then put on some dollar store leashes for them, which is no problem since I forgot the leases. then he grabs one of the pups looking over him...to me it felt like it was a complaining session rather then inspection and he said he will see what he can do and brought him to the back. He then came back out a few seconds later saying he can’t do anything because he thinks he will hurt the dog due to some Mats. He then said he will see what he can do about my other dog I had in my hands, but I told him I need to go elsewhere so I can get them done at the same place, and same day. He said ok, and then as I’m walking away rips the leash off my dogs neck and then got it caught on my dogs foot too. I’ve never seen something so disgusting. I’m really not the type to complain or do reviews but I’m just very upset with jakes services. Also, my dog wasn’t even that dirty. I’ve taken him here many times and usually he is dirtier. Like I said this place is my go-to, and they usually get baths monthly here but no longer will be. I took a picture of my dog he turned away and wanted you to see my dog and show you how crazy it was he turned down my pup...unfortunately they won’t let me post the picture under my review. Wish this incident didn’t happen :(

They stereotype your dog and wont let him play with other dogs simply based on breed. I would not recommend this place at all. They did not treat my 6 month month old blue heeler properly and refused to let him socialize with other dogs. A horrible, yet expensive experience. 😪Buddy

The store had a wide variety of treats, toys, food, and other pet supplies! I loved the wide choice of antlers for my hard chewer! The cute dog cookies were too cute not to pass up! Great idea on the free stockings with a purchase!

Been shopping here for a while but will be looking for other alternatives. We ran out of food for our pooch and headed up there to pick up some more. Everywhere you look online and even on their building it states they are open until 8PM. We arrived at 7:05, the door was locked, we could see at least three other people inside. We rang their bell, not even a look came our way. We knocked, no luck. We called, no answer. Eventually a young lady came to the door to help we thought...We were wrong, she needed us to move out of her way so she could go home for the evening. She stated they’re closed; “COVID hours, we close at 7.” Uh, it’s been an entire year. Either your employees are lazy or you’re a poor business operator. Get it together. Also, don’t call people “sweetie.” That’s crossing a line. Regardless, no food for our dog. Not really the kind of small business we can support. You earned this review.

Just went to sign my Pitbull puppy up for daycare for the socialization and was told he wasnt allowed to play with the other dogs. So let me get this straight. People complain that pitbulls are aggressive but you want to deny them the socialization they need, keep them isolated, and then complain that they dont get along with other dogs? Youre just perpetuating the problem. I was also going to sign him up for the puppy program. Nope. Ill never walk into that building again.

Took my 11 year old Rat Terrier for grooming. He is a very shy and skiddish little guy and they were so sweet and kind and patient with him. Brittany did such an amazing job! When I picked him up, his little tail was wagging away and he was sooo happy! He looked absolutely adorable and smells soooo good! They are by far the very best ever!! Highly highly recommend!! ❤️

I brought my baby Patches to the veterinary center when she was very sick. We thought she was going to get better, but unfortunately I had to call them back the very next day. They were willing to see her again immediately, but unfortunately she cant didnt make it. They were very sweet, and they even sent me a sympathy card. When Im ready for another puppy, this is where I will be taking them.

I am shocked at the negative reviews. I have been taking my dogs to this facility since it opened and they ALWAYS love going there. The groomers always request specific information as to my wishes and they have never never never not delivered on what I requested. When I arrive to pick them up they are happy and very chipper. I have had the convenience of using their on site veterinarian services for shots and couldnt be more pleased with the price and the complete care given. If you are seeking a facility that really is run extremely well and consistent this truly is a nice, clean well staffed well run business. PS. I have about 10 other friends who also take their dogs there for grooming and boarding. I have never had the need to use the boarding facility but friends have and love it. They do allow you to just come and tour the boarding accommodations. So I would encourage you to go observe for your self.

90% of the time its a good experience. There is good as any other place, but the prices are little high. However I do no skimping when it comes to my pets and this place does have quality on its side. It does however puzzle me that they do not have a better selection of Solid Gold products. You may or may not know this but they were the first truly holistic dog food and cat food company. Every other brand now tries to copy them, and some of them do a good job of it but solid gold is still the best. Royal Pets Terrys a very limited amount of solid gold products. Most people dont know this either but the person who founded solid gold products is a woman. She was definitely a Pioneer and doesnt get enough credit I think for her sacrifices. Her story is very interesting and is available online.

My healthy and happy 2 year old Akbash died during a routine teeth cleaning December 26, 2019.They say a tube was either placed in a machine incorrectly or it became stuck on its own, either way it malfunctioned. The tube filled her lungs up so much that it stopped her heart. I do not recommend their Veterinarian team.Erby of Iraq was rescued from Iraq in 2017. She did not deserve this.The veterinarian on duty refused to speak to me.

The vet techs Brandy and Rachel super friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Jake in the grooming salon is wonderful with our dogs. Jeremy is THE BEST. Hes always so friendly, helpful, really goes above and beyond whenever we need something. I would hire any of these folks, you can tell they genuinely love animals and we trust them to take good care of our babies.

My dogs nails grow very fast and he has very long quicks, causing his nails to split from time to time. We love our Riley, and we want only the best for him. We’ve trusted Royal Pets pretty much for 5 years now. We did boarding there, and it worked out well. Play days don’t work for Riley, cause like his dad, we majored in time-out. (I don’t play well with others - neither does he).The BEST part of Royal Pets for us is grooming. They do a great job.

I’ve been bringing my dogs here since they were puppies. They love it here. We have used royal pets for boarding occasionally, but mostly we use the dog play camp. The play areas are open to public view.The employees also do a little bit of training during play camp. And carry around treat bags. We buy our food here, Fromms. Every once in a while a dog snags a cookie or treat off a display table, but we are never charged for that.

I took my golden in to the vet here and he loved it and we loved it too. You walk into a store and the dogs dont even know its a vet also it comforts the animals I feel. After the vet visit you can shop the store for the items that may help your fur baby out after the visit which is very helpful so you arent having to go to so many stores when you have a sick pup in the car . The vet we had was amazing she really took the time and listened to us instead of all the other vets where they have no time for you. Also there is a lady in the front who is amazing she knows how to sell us things we need and she is the one who made us think about coming here. Just want to say thank you for being amazing in every way! Dr. Kristi Tipton was who we saw and just wanted to show some gratitude towards her cause she was the best vet that we have ever gone to. Thank you all again!

Hoss has always had a wonderful experience at Royal Pet Resort from training as a puppy in North Tampa to our visits near our new home in Palm Harbor. He had been going to the North Tampa store since he was 4 mos old . We had the best trainer, JR. And he still after all these years, he’s going on 7 now in a few months, enjoys his visits.Only had one problem after him going to North Tampa daycare for over 2 yrs were he was trained. This newly appointed person in charge of it decide that ( even after a vote of confidence from JR ) after over 2yrs he wasn’t allowed to socialize with others. Now I have pictures taken from personnel of my Hoss relaxing in one of there pools with another dog, real cute and sweet of her to take . With this persons new responsibility decide that Hoss all of a sudden ( he has never even nipped at anyone human or animal) wasn’t allowed to socialize anymore and kept him locked up for weekend ( 5 days). He said he looks lime he’s mixed. Now this person had worked their prior to his new responsibilities. Said he not allowed anymore to participate with others anymore as long as I’m here. He might turn on you. Now we had Hoss since he was 5weeks old then took him to them to train. He did excellent!!! He’s still to this day listen better than your kids probably do. And, he’s always by my side. Doesn’t like being left. So he will never run away. He sits on the front porch and waits for my return. Doesn’t understand when other dogs bark at him. He looks at them confused..... very cute. Now why would he do this to a dog they trained ( & that trainer stood up for ) he never caused any trouble ever, why did the do this to him ? Only reason we don’t go to the North Tampa store anymore. Palm Harbor has open there doors to him.Just look at the dogs history with you before you condemn him or her.

This place is amazing!!! I was looking for smaller amounts of healthy food for my dog. She only eats people food and on nights we go out or she doesnt like what we have I wanted to make sure she would eat something. They have a wide variety of small bags. The cashier was amazing and very helpful. They offer grooming and have insurance for your pet. They have vets and a pet hotel and spa.

Great place to take your pets for grooming, veterinary care, boarding, and pet food and supplies. They have a very clean, beautiful facility and spacious store. Their staff is top notch, friendly and knowledgeable and their prices cant be beat. I highly recommend!

This place is as state-of-the art as pet shop is going to be. The staff is great and they are obviously all animal lovers. Weve had our Yellow Lab and Lhasa groomed and boarded here multiple times. As a business traveler I get to stay at many hotels each year. Im thinking my dogs are being treated better than I am. I coming back as a 3-legged Sheep Dog Pup!

Barb is amazing! My pup Marley is very difficult. My pup is a rescue and came from a hoarder home where she was not treated the best. It is very hard to get her groomed and takes a bit of time. Barb made sure to take her time with my baby so that she did not get too anxious. I am forever grateful!

This is dog heaven! The boarding facility is great, vet prices reasonable, grooming is fantastic and they sell just about everything a dog could want or need. The prices are a bit high- but the service makes up for it. I highly recommend.

I enjoy waking around in there just looking at all the interesting treats,toys, and everything else. You name it, they have it. She not only found it for us but she shared some incredibly useful knowledge regarding the subject (fleas) and helped us schedule professional help with their grooming/hotel services. I bring my fur baby here for his vet visits. Its super clean and every one is very nice and helpful. I think my kitty actually likes going to the vet! They also have food and products for cats and dogs. Great natural selection too

My husband and I toured the facility after moving to the area. We had a bad expierence prior to going to royal pets at another vet office and were on the search for the perfect vet for our boy! We did lots of research online on wellness program but from the minute we walked in the door we were greeted by a very welcoming lady working at the counter who then lead us to both the vet area and boarding/daycare area! Through the whole experience everyone was so respectful and professional but while showing their love and compassion for animal. They addressed not only my husband and I but our dog Riggs giving him treats, petting on him, talking to them. It was a wonderful experience and for dog parents who are very picky with who is with our baby they won us over quickly! I also would love to mention how beautiful the inside is. It was organized and I also a lot of people mentioning how it smelled and to be honest I thought it smelled good? I have no complaints, cant wait for Riggs to be apart of royal pets family!

I Love this place you can see you pet anytime on there pet cam live feed. That was a Tuesday review the first day I dropped him off. Wednesday his cam stopped working at 10:30am.so now I am a bit worried cause I cant see how he is the kennel is empty. Hopeful someone will get back to me Thursday to let me know he is fine and fix the cam. The days are very hot so I am hoping they have the A/C running. And playing with him inside. I believe in addition to the pet cam they should post pictures on FB of the dogs at play for that day. So we can see what kind of time he is having.

Great place to find everything for your dog. It is a full service dog store and they make it easy for you to remember when youre friends need their vaccinations. Very friendly and helpful staff. My dogs also love going there to play.

Our dog comes home happy, no smell, she is insulin dependent and I trust them with her care.

Grooming is fantastic! His coat is still shiny! He made friends during his stay. We feel very comfortable leaving him with the day and overnight care

Took my cat for grooming, and it is been 10 days and my cat is still stressed out, I have had groomed here before and never had this problem! He is still not using litter box and eats the bare minimum. And hides in closet all day.Obviously very traumatized. I will never use this groomer again!!!!!!

We took Daisy in to be groomed. They did an excellent job. Brittany asked us how we wanted her groomed. She groomed her perfectly and called us when she was done. Daisy was a happy little camper when she was done!Thanks so much for a great job!

Being a vendor for them since 2015 and the last year they haven’t payed there bill. Now know will contact me by phone or email. They are trying to blow me under the rug being a small family owned company. I have to reach out to them numerous times. If they pay there bill I will take this review down. See how long this takes. The Place is really well decorated.. Smells nice inside and nice to walk around.. They are Pet friendly while shopping.They offer boarding for Dogs and Cats. They have a full Vet and Grooming as well.Their staff are friendly.. I removed a star because they can be difficult with some things.. Had issues with getting food for my dog.. the Vet has my dog on a certain food because he has always had a stomach issue.. and you can only get the food through the vet. And I had not been back to see their vet for a bit and would not let me pick up the food.. That pissed me off... SO.. I went to a diff vet (that I had never been to) to pick up the food that I was out of and they sold it to me without Question.Royal Pets almost lost me for good because of that.. I only dropped them one star from a full 5 because for the most part they have been great.. But if an instance happens like that again.. I will edit this review and they will indeed lose me as a customer.. So.. Tighten up.

My dog always walks into Royal Pets all happy and excited and she especially loves Andrea! Another great service that they have is the doggie day care which my dog enjoys. Shes always exhausted when we pick her up from all that playtime that she gets. Ive never walked out of that store unhappy and its the only place Ill take my dog. Its truly a great company!
