Steve and Madeira Boat Rentals were amazing! We’ve rented from numerous places over the years since we just don’t go out enough to buy one ourselves. By far the best experience we’ve ever had. He was friendly, obviously takes great care of his boats as they were immaculate, and was so easy to work with. Had a great day celebrating my sons 19th birthday with his friends. We will definitely be back to rent from him again.

Steve was great. Very knowledgeable on area and told exactly where to find great shelling. We saw dolphins, a stingray and found some great shells. The boat was like new. Highly recommended for boat rentals.

**avoid at all costs**I was met by the business owner (I guess) 15 minutes late... only to be told I lack experience and denied access to the vessel I paid for. I saw the AM shift leave the boat unkempt and poorly moored to the mangrove dock. They left after waiting several minutes for the owner to appear.Despite the fact that Ive rented at several local vendors prior with no issue ever, I had to endure a lecture about boating and how I was apparently unqualified... because I hadnt rented enough boats in my past (25 apparently is the cutoff... not on the website btw). I didnt mention the fact that Im a US Navy veteran SAR swimmer and I can most certainly manage a 90 HP pontoon boat. I didnt mention the fact that I am a FL native and was in a boat at the age of 3. I didnt mention the hundreds of blue water excursions Ive been on. It was a gut check thing and he made his decision.**Tourists beware**. This company may have ruined my weekend but they can also very easily ruin your entire vacation. Youll find more easy going and more affordable options anywhere else in the local area.My guess is that our reservation conflicted with other plans the owner had (he showed up late and maybe a bit drunk? I dont know... he was very berating and verbose).I would guess the poor ownership is the real reason this company recently moved locations. They still call themselves Madeira beach yet are dozens of miles away from their original location.Do you research before you book.

Steve and his staff we kind and flexible with our pontoon rental. They were prepared and professional. Note their location just north of Clearwater, but definitely worth the drive. 20 min boat ride to 2 beautiful islands and sandbars! We will definitely be back!

Had a great time today renting a pontoon from Steve and heading out to Caladesi Island State Park with the family. While staying in Clearwater Beach, all the pontoons were booked and seemed to cost more than Madeira Boat Rental for the same four hours we wanted (bonus for me). Made the reservation online and showed up. Simple as that. Steve had the boat prepared and gave the instructions on what needed to be done so we didnt get ourselves beached in the shallows. We enjoyed our time motoring out to Caladesi Island to find shells. We saw one dolphin while motoring in the channels to boot. Since the price was lower and closer to Caladesi Island and Honeymoon Island State Park, I would use Madeire Boat Rental again in the future.

What wonderful, accommodating, and hospitable customer service. A group of friends went out for a birthday celebration and I cant rave enough about the customer care we received. Its actually been long time since Ive been so impressed by how kind a companys representative treated such a large group of us. Im shocked that anyone had a bad experience with this company and it definitely must have been a fluke, obviously everyone in the unhappy group left negative reviews together because they were enraged but I feel like its unworthy to only leave negative reviews, those same negative reviewers also have never left a review period. I dont really trust those individuals opinions, they just seem unappeasable. But aside from the weird and random bad reviews, my experience was wonderful and for the amount of groups and people renting boats all weekend every weekend, Im shocked there arent more outstanding, happy reviews.

We had a great experience renting a pontoon boat from Steve for back to back days on the water. The boat ran well, was clean, well taken care of and reasonably priced. Steve was very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this company if you are considering a pontoon boat rental.

Very unprofessional. I’ve had this rental booked for a few months. We showed up 30 minutes ahead of time and waited until the 15 minutes before our reservation when he said to meet only for the owner to not return any of our calls and he DID NOT SHOW UP FOR US, with no contact with him what so ever. Multiple emails sent and nothing. Absolutely ridiculous. Thanks for ruining our Fourth of July. We better be refunded fully.

I love boating in this area. But being just on vacation and not having a boat here I have to rent. I have had good experiences and bad. This was a great experience I hope to rent from them again. Hopefully soon!

We had a great experience with Steve, the owner. It was a last minute decision to go out on the water so we started calling around. Luckily, on our 3ed call, Steve answered and set us up for 1:00. We had a blast and there are so many places to go and see. Whether you want an island where everyone hangs out or one to yourself, youll find your spot. Easy and quick out to the gulf or back bay area. Were going back in July for our annual family outing cuz its just outstanding, thx Steve!

We showed up 15 minutes before we were supposed to be here (like said on the website). We have been waiting for over 30 minutes and they have not showed yet. We have called, emailed, left voicemails, etc. No answers from anything!! They have already taken our money even though no show! Do not recommend this, horrible experience!!

Rented pontoon for 1/2 day. Boat was in great shape, clean, easy to use. Dave from boat rental was great. Everything went smoothly. He went over everything with us to make sure we understood how to use it. Greeted us on the dock upon return. We will definitely be back.

One of the best places we’ve ever rented a boat we had a great time we had no problems what so ever! The prices were fair and we got onto the boat very fast and we didn’t have to give down payments like some renters would. All in all we had the best experience and we will come again!!!

The family and I come every year for the Fourth of July week to Madeira Beach. Every year we try to head out for a day trip on a boat to take in the beauty of the area and dolphin watching of course! We’ve had our share of experiences with local boat rentals from over pricing to renting dilapidated boats that left us stranded. We wanted to give it another go and googled boat rentals. Madeira Boat Rental was at the top of the list so we gave it a go. Called up and were greeted by a friendly voice, Steve. He was super informative and genuine with all my questions. The price was very reasonable too. I instantly felt comfortable and reassured to book a boat for the next day. We got there at our scheduled time and were greeted by Steve in person with a big smile. He went out of his way to provide top notch service. Gave us routes, tips on what to do and even loaned us an ice cooler that we’d forgotten to bring. We had a question while out and Steve promptly picked up the phone and helped out. If you want a great day out on the gulf while in the area call Steve up! You won’t be disappointed!

Stay away! I would put 0 stars if i could. We wanted to rent a boat but because of weather had to cancel, they charged my card anyway. Ive called and text and no one is calling back and I have not been refunded my money. I would stay away from this place, he was very nice to talk to in the beginning and assured me I would not be charged if I canceled because of weather. Well that was a lie.

Steve offered our money back when we first arrived bc we were unhappy with how run down the boat was. He did not want us to be unhappy, however, this is just advice that if you are expecting the boat pictured or one similar, that may not happen. He said bc we had fishing rods, we got a very run down 21ft pontoon with a torn bimini, broken and torn seats, no electronics, no radio, and just in really poor condition. Just ask what you will be put on before renting is my advice.

Recently took a 21 pontoon for a 1/2 day trip with our group of 8 family members and friends. Steve, the owner, was very friendly and helpful, as we are not an avid boating family. But the trip went well and everyone had a great time. Well definitely come back!

If you want to rent a boat in Madeira Beach, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! These guys were extremely accommodating and very fairly priced compared to other renters in the area. We rented a 21 pontoon for our party of 9 for $225 for 1/2 day, 4 hours. Both Steve and Dave were awesome! Highly recommend!!

I called about renting a few boats for a bachelorette party with 12 girls just days before I needed them, and Steve was so unbelievably accommodating and made the whole process extremely easy. When we arrived that day, the boats were as advertised- brand new and just beautiful. I honestly couldnt have better things to say about Steve and this company, and our entire outing that day was just perfect. I would 100% recommend choosing this company for your boat rental needs!

Every now and then a business goes way above and beyond my expectations. This was exactly what happened when my friends and I rented a boat from here. This by far was my best boat-renting experience ever. The owner is an extremely nice and affable guy. He treats his customers exceptionally well. I was very impressed at the level to which he was able to accommodate us and our special needs. His business differs from other boat rental establishments in the following ways: (1) his boats are new, clean and don’t look like they have been beat up; (2) he is upfront and does not use bait-and-switch tactics by low balling you on the price and then nickel and diming you at the end; (3) he treats his customers as though they matter and are important, not as if he is doing them a favor; (4) for what you get, his prices are extremely fair, even on the fuel, for which he charges significantly less than others; and (5) he is very patient and takes extra time to show you how to work the boat and navigate the waters. 5-Stars hands down. I won’t rent a boat from anyone else.

What a great experience this was. Steve was very accomodating. Labor Day weekend is a busy weekend on the water and he gave us some good tips for our half day trip. The boat was brand new and had lots of room for our party of 4 and our grand doggie! We had booked a later time in the day but Steve had been diligently watching the weather and asked that we come in earlier to miss the afternoon rain and was he ever so right. When we docked the boat, the rain started within 5 minutes of us docking. This trip was birthday/anniversary gift for our daughter and son in law and it was well worth the money. We will definitely be back to have more great experiences with Steve. As experienced boaters in fresh water lakes, this was a great experience for us in the inter coastal.

Our group of 4 had a wonderful day thanks to Madeira Boat Rental and the owner Steve. Great trip up the ICW sightseeing. Followed a group of dolphins and had lunch (we packed our own) at a public boat launch where docking was a breeze. Thanks again Steve... we’l Be back!

Thank you for damaging our vacations, I rented a boat in advance and only required a drivers license, when calling, he informed me that they require experience, which I have in Georgia and Puerto Rico and it was not enough, they canceled me and it was something horrible for me, my children and family we are extremely upset and I will take care of letting everyone know for their great irresponsibility
