CFCC strives to be a support and buffer for children and families in the community by engaging with children in their language, the language of play. As a therapist with the agency for almost 2 years, I see on a daily basis the need for mental health services for children, especially as we are still in the midst of a pandemic. I feel very lucky to have been able to continue to provide support during this challenging time, and know that what we want most for all children is for them to be healthy and happy.

Center for Child Counseling is an amazing agency that is dedicated to help children and families in our community. It is a trauma-informed agency that also helps everyone in our community to become trauma informed to promote resilience and social-emotional wellbeing in children. They have passionate well trained therapists and variety of workshops to help children as well as their caregivers.

The trainings that the Center for Child Counseling provide are both informative and engaging. I especially appreciate the wealth of knowledge shared on ACEs, toxic stress and Play Therapy. Ive attended no less than 5 trainings with CFCC over the past 3 years and I can say theyve truly helped me develop a strong foundation as a clinician working with Children and Families.

Six years ago, I walked into Center for Child Counseling, knowing that there was something special about it. I didnt know then that I would find an agency that aligns with my personal values as well as CFCC does, and commits to working with every client with care and compassion. I consider myself lucky to have found a place that values not only my contributions as a staff member, but my personal wellbeing as an employee.I have been fortunate to serve in several positions within the agency since that first day - as a therapist, as an advocate attending county-wide meetings to address childhood mental health, and as a trainer to share the knowledge and tools that I have gained over the years with parents, teachers, and professionals serving the South Florida region. I can truly say that in each position, I felt supported in my role. I felt proud of the services I was able to offer. And I knew that if I was ever in a position of not being able to assist someone for whatever reason, then my colleagues, my supervisors and even my CEO would step up to the mark to ensure the best level of care is provided. That level of commitment alone makes me proud to represent CFCC.Ive been trained by the agency. Ive worked alongside my colleagues for a number of years. I know the ins and outs and the standard that CFCC maintains. And I can wholeheartedly attest that this is a safe space for children and families to work through everything from daily life challenges to trauma and heartbreak, and that they will receive guidance and support from some of the most compassionate, well-trained, and dedicated therapists Ive had the pleasure of working alongside.

Six years ago, I moved to Florida from Philadelphia, PA where as a psychologist, I ran trauma treatment programs for children for many years. When I arrived in Florida, I began looking for a place to work that provides the highest quality of clinal care to children and families, and uses evidenced-based and innovative practices. I was not sure where to turn as a newcomer to the area, but as I met with leaders in the mental/behavioral health field in Palm Beach County, I kept hearing about the Center for Child Counseling (CFCC) and the amazing work they were doing, including clinical work and professional trainings in the areas of child maltreatment and trauma. I started with the agency as a volunteer and had such a positive experience that I joined the CFCC team as a staff psychologist 6 months ago. I could not be happier with my decision, and the amazing work I see being done by this agency for the children and families of Palm Beach County. The Center has many programs to address a wide range of mental/behavioral health needs of children and families and does so in a variety of settings (in their offices, schools, community, health care settings, and virtually during the pandemic). I am so very proud to be a part of such an amazing non-profit organization and to be able to be of service to my new community. Anne Holland Brown, PHD, Psychologist CFCC

As I prepare to celebrate a 5th anniversary with Center for Child Counseling, Inc. I am reminded of the values that attracted me to this agency. It is such a pleasure to work with a passionate, nurturing, knowledgeable and resourceful group of individuals who truly care about children and families in our community, endeavor to educate our partners about the impact of adverse childhood experiences, and who spread playfulness and hope!

Dont waste your time and money. Nothing to appreciate. They gave fake promises.. Unfortunately, the standard at this Counseling company was very poor. Here are a few RED FLAGS about Center for Child Counseling that I had.1) Counselor did NOT have sufficient and specific training to address my child issues.2) Therapist was not interested in the changes I wanted to make for my child and goals for therapy.3) Counselor could not clearly define how they could help my child or solve whatever issue or concern that was brought to her.4) The therapist calls DCF on you and does not tell you until DCF arrives to your home to than drop the charges and close your case because you did not do anything wrong.5) The counselor diagnoses your child with depression just to bill your insurance without testing him for it and does not have a license to diagnose anyone.6) Therapist does not talk to the parents at all.7) Counselor does not empathize.8) Counselor seems overwhelmed with your problems.9) My counselor habitually missed, canceled, and showed up late to our appointments.10) My counselor played games the entire time with my child and then discharge him saying he no longer needed treatment. If your just looking for a play-date for your child this is the Counseling service you need to call.My child counselor was Jessica Mork. To be honest I dont even think she is licensed to be a counselor. Maybe license to play UNO with your child because thats all she really did with my child.
