We purchased all new Kenmore Elite appliances from our local Sears store Christmas 2019 during a major kitchen renovation. In July of 2020, our Double Wall Oven simply died. I called and was told it was just out of manufacturers warranty. 1-800-4-My-Home recommended I sign up for Sears Home Warranty (Cinch) and it would cover the cost of repair. I did, and my oven is still not fixed after 8 months. All because one of the technicians removed a harness that connects the broken touch panel, and no one can find that part (a $20 cable).I have been a Sears supporter my entire life, and now the treatment we have received is so deplorable.

I purchased the Sears Master Protection Plan. My Refrigerator with bottom frezer stoped working. I called the 1 800 number, on day 3 the repairman showed up. He was a pro, knowledgeable and curtious. After taking covers off, taking various readings and connections, he made his dignosis and entered parts on his tablet. He then told me a required part was no longer available and I would hear from Sears. I followed directions, took pictures of spoiled foos and made a listing so i could throw away that stink and file the spoiled food claim. I never heard from Sears so I called them. They told me that the repairman closed out the claim so I didn’t have a claim. 3 people and 2 hours latter, a supervisor told me she would re enter the claim, and the repairman would return the next day. He didn’t and stated why would he, Sears has his report. Another 2 days, 6 hours on the phone and Sears said it must be in escalation because they can’t find my claim, and no claim so my spoiled food matter is rejected. I was told to call back in 5 days. My Plan, which I paid $3000. for, stated if they can’t fix it, they replace it. But its ok to go 15 days without a refrigerator while they look for my case. And yes, they acknowledge the part 1 of 3) is not available, no longer manufactured.

The ice maker was not working. Carlos C tested and found the compressor needed to be replaced. He called around and found a new one, went and got it, came back in about an hour and installed it. He was very mindful of the need to avoid contamination and did a GREAT job. The icemaker is working again.

Service technician came out to evaluate the problem. Informed me of the costs and recommended purchasing a Sears warranty plan. Did so and parts/technician never returned to actually repair the refrigerator. When I tried calling warranty repair line the call is answered by people who barely speak english and when they realize theyre not able to help me just hang up the phone. Will never use them again and with this kind of service completely understand why Sears is going bankrupt.

Absolutely amazing experience. I have the extended warranty on my Kenmore Elite bottom freezer refrigerator and it wasnt making ice. In addition to that, the freezer wasnt freezing... perfect. I called Sears, made an appointment, and was ready for the technician to show up.I was called the day of the appointment and prior to his arrival which was very impressive. Other in home services say theyll do that, but rarely does it happen.Upon arrival the gentleman dealt with my wife (who is pregnant at the time of the review), and he took the time to explain the issue, show why he determined it was that issue, and did it in a way that allowed her to fully understand the problem.Replacement parts were ordered and he even made sure to tell my wife not to lift them up because they were heavy. They arrived a few days prior to the next appointment, and on the installation day the same tech showed up. Once again he was amazing to deal with, took great care of the surrounding environment near the refrigerator, and was extremely friendly.This tech was extremely courteous, friendly, and able to inform us in a way that we could understand as to what was going on. This experience single handedly has reinforced my confidence in purchasing extended warranty coverage through Sears, and they have essentially gained a customer for life for appliances!

I would be remiss if I did not say how pleased I was with the service I received from Sears Appliance Repair regarding a problem I had with my Kenmore washing machine. My repairman was knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Best of all, he gave me some very good suggestions about getting optimum performance from my machine. I have been a Sears customer for about 35 years and swear by the great quality of all of my Sears Kenmore products.

Technician Magdy is outstanding. He is always willing to talk to the customer and give me helpful hints and suggestions on proper usage and care of my appliances. I really appreciate that. Ive had maintenance agreements for decades and have never received such personal attention as he gives. He actually cares. Im happy to say, that, when I open the door and its him. I know when he leaves, I will be up and running. Hes on time and never cancels.

Honest technician but a not so honest company. The only reason im giving this place 2 stars is because of how timely, professional, and fast the technician was. Would be giving a 1 star without him. The fee for coming out and inspecting the issue is not deducted from the labor if you decide to get the repair done by sears, its just added onto the labor. Also parts are grossly over priced. Sears wanted 70 dollars for a washer belt that cost 14 dollars on amazon (I checked using the Part number as everyone should so that there was no back and forth). This company is as crooked as they come.

Technician called on his way over and said they didnt want to work on my refrigerator - this is after they accepted my appointment and booked it FIVE DAYS IN ADVANCE. It is a Whirlpool Refrigerator that is 10 years old but cost about $2000 at the time. He then said hed come over and take a look at what is wrong but hes going to charge me $99 to tell me that hes not going to work on it. To be fair, I guess he told me. Then he walked in the garage and took a look at the fridge, spent 2 minutes with it (didnt even pull it out of the wall or unplug it!!!!) and then said yeah we cant do anything about this - no charge. I was delighted that despite the house call and spending 2 minutes looking at the fridge they werent going to charge.Then, 5 minutes later while I was in the bathroom the tech BANGS ON THE FRONT DOOR and is shouting to me that I owe him $99. He continues banging until I answered. I opened the door completely flummoxed why someone would behave so erratically. He accused me of trying not to pay by not answering the door. I was absolutely disgusted. So I took his picture. Thats when he raised his voice at me in a threatening way.I told him I wanted to know the part number, he wouldnt tell me. I told him that I wanted his name, he wouldnt give it to me.I will NEVER EVER EVER use A&E Sears again for ANYTHING.I called another local company who came out SAME DAY and repaired the main board on my $2000 fridge for $300.A&E are crooks, theyre unprofessional, their techs dont want to do any real work, and theyre rude as all get-out.Ive attached the techs picture so you when you see this rude and unprofessional crook you know to turn them away.

Called Sears to find it what was wrong with my dryer at a part time vacation property. i was not there personally. they came out discovered the problem wasnt the dryer it was the electrical outlet. very quick discovery. then left. $100. didnt even take the time to open the equipment and do a quick clean/service. just left. complete and total waste of money to pay for just that. awful. i will never recommend this company to anyone. bunch of crooks.

We originally had another company diagnose our refrigerator for repair. He gave us the part number and said we needed to order and have it delivered before hed come out to do the work. When their prices were higher than we expected we called Sears. The repairman came out and wanted to charge for another diagnosis. I explained itd already been done and we didnt want it done again. He said he would just do the install but when I got the bill, it included the $99 diagnosis fee! He marked on the receipt he didnt do it but it was charged anyway. I called Sears and they told me they couldnt help me. The refrigerator is working fine so far. I just want a refund of the $99. for which I was unreasonably charged.

The repairman called before coming just shortly after the 4 hour window we were given started. He was only there a few minutes but fixed our freezer quickly and efficiently. My only complaint is that I called on a Saturday as that was when we discovered our freezer wasnt working but we couldnt get a repairman until the following Thursday. Took too much time.

Repairman came and replaced coil and didnt test afterwards. So had to have a technician come out again 2 days later. Technician showed up on a Friday morning said the coil is frozen so I am going to shut it down and will return this afternoon to diagnose and repair. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with Sears at 4pm trying to find out where the technician was. Come to find out he decided that he wasnt coming back until Monday morning and didnt update anyone. So now no a/c for a total of at least 6 days come Mondays appointment. And all these problems while we have a master protection agreement on it! Great job Sears!

I will never call Sears again for service. They came out one day, the washer worked one day and then it never worked again. I called, talked to many people and had to be transferred from one department to another. I wanted them to get someone out the next day or at least the day after but they said no, they could not get out for at least nine days. That was unacceptable, I paid them over $200 for the service call and the work, I am waiting for a refund which I probably will never get. I ended up going to another dealer (family owned) and bought a new washing machine. They had it delivered and set up in two days. What ever you do, never call Sears for a service call. You wont talk to anyone in the United States.

While we had the Master Protection Agreement Plan...it did very little to help us because our air conditioning unit was so old they could not get the part. Seems to me we shouldve been given a BIG discount! Needless to say...the new system seems to be working thus far but its only been a few weeks. Thank you. =)

Sears sends out one and only one contractor in my area to do its service. The company is Installation Associates Inc. They are terrible! Quick to wrongly diagnose a problem so they can be on their way. Technician needs to borrow my tools. Always takes multiple visits to attempt to fix an issue. Today will be the fifth visit for my ice maker. They only create new issues by doing shoddy work. I said I didnt want them in my house again! Sears response, theyre all we have in your area.

This is third person we have been switched to and put on hold. Never again will I buy all my kitchen appliances from sears. and just got disconnected...

Called Sears to assist with our dryer issue. Clothes were not drying properly. Turns out it was a clogged dryer vent. So glad I called them to asses the issue. They were very prompt, courteous and professional from the first phone call to the technician who came to the house. We had the vent cleaned and dryer is working well again. My wife and I recently purchased a home inWest Palm Beach after relocating from Denver. The home came with a ‘SEARS SERVICE WARRANTY’ and the plan was transferred into my name. Prior to closing the sellers experienced problems with the AC and Sears replaced the compressor. We moved in 2 weeks ago and the AC has ran non stop. I called Sears and opened a ticket. Tech came out and said the unit was fine and the problem was my duct work which they did not service. I called a full service HVAC company out to go over the duct work and they assured me the duct work was fine. They inspected the unit which is 15 years old and discovered that SEARS installed the wrong compressor a few weeks before we moved in. They recommended I have the entire unit replaced since it’s 15 years old and considering the continued service problems. I called Sears and literally was transferred 5 times. They where absolutely no help and said my warranty was void because I had another tech inspect the unit. I swear I’m not making this up. The agents kept telling me it was my duct work when a simple part search clearly shows that the wrong compressor was installed. After getting nowhere I thought I would use LinkedIn and found a VP within Sears Service Department. I told my story and he has not responded since. In his defense, it may not be his area.Bottom line, I found a very reputable company and met them yesterday to take measurements for a new unit. They provided a quote and have agreed to document the fact that SEARS installed the wrong compressor and to provide adequate paperwork which I’ll be sending to my attorney.DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! IT’S A SCAM!

I am 100% satisfied with the service provided by Jules. As a technician myself for 35 years, I understand that every now and then theres a problem that just isnt as simple as it looks. Jules was here for over three hours, but his persistence paid off, and now the mower is running beautifully again. He is to be commended for his perseverance with this particular service call; I was outside with him for most of it, and it was definitely a tricky problem. He worked late, until the job was done completely and the mower was running as it should. I cannot thank him enough for his excellent work!170731 (update) The last service was mostly for dry-rotted tires; this turned into a major problem - its not easy replacing tires, inner tubes, and rims in the backyard in 112 degree heat index! At my request, I had Jules again, and he gave it his all (again), and Im finally able to jump on my twin-blade hot rod and mow!

Very disappointed in the service experience for my Kenmore Elite Dryer. Technician properly diagnosed issue but ordered wrong part. He was more interested in selling me additional service agreements costing hundreds of dollars more. Second technician was unable to complete the repair because he had to order the correct parts. Have to wait almost another 2 weeks to come back after the new parts arrive. A third appointment where I have to stay home from work and wait/hope the right parts were ordered and will fix the problem.I had a similar experience with the delivery of the new machines last year and a repair on the washer as well. Not sure I will purchase new appliances at Sears again in the future. Missing too much work due to the inefficiencies and errors.

Washer was repaired but Tech and customer service would not honor 20% discount advertised on web site. We had the code available during the repair. Was told to go on line. After going on line, service order would not come up. I called their toll free number. The call center rep said he could not help me and to print the coupon and use it on my next service call. The coupon expires on 6/30/17. SURPRISED AND VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH TRANSACTION AND LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Ridiculously expensive. I was told it needed a new ice maker assembly for my refrigerator they charged $192 for the part, a part I showed the repairman they listed on their website for $120. The repairman spent 15 minutes total undoing 3 screws, plugged the assembly in and closed the 3 screws. He billed it as a major repair for another $164 and charged $75 for a diagnostic fee. What diagnosis I told him what was wrong when he walked in. The total bill with tax was $467.24. Ill never buy another Sears product again

I would give the appliance repair co (Not Sears, they contract it out) a 5 and Sears a 4. They do get to you quickly, but Sears ordered the wrong part for the contractor and it took another week to get it and get it installed. They are paying for a refrig rental.I think Sears is a great store and will continue to shop there, but why is the friggie failing after only 1 year??

It was a fiasco from rerouting them from Arkansas to Florida. The first repair they replaced nearly everything electronic and the value of that repair was $75 under the cost of the washer. The washer started doing the same thing just days later and now they tell me there is nothing wrong but the tech wouldnt tell that to our face but left and then called on the phone. So we have one visit that the tevh must be totally incompetent replacing stuff that didnt need it or one who refuses to fix the problem. I will never buy from Sears agsin and plan to cancel both my cards. Its no wonder your company is on the brink of bankruptcy. It starts stupid at the top and gets worse as it goes down the chain. I will get an independent tech out there and settle this in court.

The ice maker was replaced, cycled once and quit. I called for service and the repairman reset the ice maker and again it cycled once and quit. I called last Wednesday and havent heard a word. I will say that Hurricane Matthew was heading our way but it should have worked the second time.9/22/16 The appointment was made by them for 10a.m. to 2 p.m. I called Abco office at 1:43 p.m. to ask about the repairman and they said he had problems on another job and he would be there. The repairman finally came just before 5 p.m. and he told me that I was his last appointment of the day not 10 to 2. I am extremely unhappy with Abco and my ice make is still not working after 4 visit. After speaking with the office staff on 3 different times they never told me they had messed up on my appointment. I took off work for them and had arranged for several other things to get done of which never happened. Totally will not support Abco Appliance & A/C Repair to anyone at this point.Sears Repairs finally came to my home and he found the problem. The ice maker that Abco installed originally was a bad unit. Sears replaced the ice maker and I now have ice. After 10 appointments it was fixed.The 5 star rating is for Sears repairman ONLY! Abco doesnt get any stars in my opinion.

DO NOT USE SEARS REPAIR UNLESS YOU HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY.THEY OVERCHARGE FOR LABOR AND IT IS NOT DONE BY THE HOUR IT IS DONE BY PER VISIT. NEW CARBURETOR AND FILTER COST $192.00 JUST FOR LABOR NOT FOR PARTS, THAT WAS ANOTHER $200.00.ALL THIS FOR 25 MINUTES OF WORK AND 2 WEEKS LATER MY LAWNMOWER WONT START AGAIN.SEARS IS NOT WHAT THEY USE TO BE. :(
