Oh my goodness! This place was probably the BEST post office I’ve ever been to on my life! Definitely the best one in Texas! The staff was so friendly and helpful! Pam and Leslie were so down to earth and sweet! Feels refreshing to meet genuine good people!

Horrible. Multiple Amazon packages: Claimed attempted delivery and mailbox full - yet no attempt was made *(we are home all the time being retired and all) and the mailbox was empty.Carriers are trying to get rural people to drive into town 14 miles each way to do their job for them, Filing complaint with Post Inspectors - this is BS

Apparently this a the “Bermuda Triangle” for parcels. I don’t understand why my package had to leave and returned this situation twice, and not delivered? I’ve been waiting 12 days for the package... It’s been sitting in this location for 5 of those days. Without any change.

Terrible service. Delivery has been erratic the entire 16 years Ive lived here. Constantly receive my neighbors mail. Mail person also drives like he is going to a fire. Awful.

Once again, palestine post office has failed me. I ordered something from Amazon with guaranteed next day delivery. They brought me a phone bill, but not my order. I followed tracking all day. First it said out for delivery at 749am. At 554pm it shows delivery attempted, now it shows available for pickup at post office which is now closed for the weekend. This is not the first time our carrier has done this. I was home all day waiting for the item. If he had tried to deliver it, i would have it in my hand. Do your job, or retire and let someone else do it that will actually try.

So Im giving this review of five stars because of the end results not the beginning. It started with packages not being delivered while regular mail was. my mailbox is less than the required distance from the house so the packages should have been brought to the house. They were not. I received a slip in the mail saying I couldnt pick them up until the 2nd which is Monday and today is Friday. The packages contained medical devices needed for my grandfather. Something that I need now not in 3 days. The 800 number was terrible they sent me to the wrong local post office even after I told them that that was not our post office. I spoke with that other office and they were wonderful, that was MontalbaTexas. Got a hold of Palestine postmaster Katina, she answered the phone when I called. She was wonderful she got the information she needed from me and told me shed call me back. honestly with past experiences I did not think Id get a call back. She called me back within 10 minutes and located my packages, gave me the reason they were not delivered, which was a valid reason. It had to do with a small car and too much mail to be delivered and really big packages needing delivered to me. Katina was wonderful she was able to find my packages for me make it so they were at the front of the office and my husband could pick them up. Normally I have to fight to get my packages if something happens in the process of delivery. This time it was smooth. The fact that the packages werent put on the car actually made it easier for us because we were able to go get them immediately versus waiting until another day which I could not do. Katina was wonderful and I truly appreciate the fact that she was able to locate find and make it possible for us to pick up the packages today. Thank you Katina!!

Ahh the post office! where posts come from miles around to be officed! doubles as a doggy daycare and a headlight repair shop! this is where hopes and dreams go to die folks! 5 stars!

My phone case broke on Friday. I ordered a case on Amazon with 2 day delivery. My item arrived in Palestine and said it was out for delivery on Sunday. I waited patiently for delivery all day. In the afternoon, I received a message from Amazon stating that a delivery attempt had been made. This is a bald faced lie. The number on my house was an exact match to the package. As Monday is Columbus day I will not be able to retrieve my package until Tuesday. So: I paid extra for 2 day shipping and had to spend another $26 for a phone case at Walmart to hold my phone safely until Tuesday. This is not the first time something like this has happened. The postal office really needs to step up their service for those of us on the rural routes.

For such a small post office, it is really hard to get a delivery. ANY typo or abbreviation, digression from what they want. Cant deliver it. Then, its hard to track it down. We dont live in town or even near town. Its pretty inconvenient. Happens on a regular basis - but somehow, we do get the previous folks mail - even w the wrong address.

Reviews are correct. any hiccup and they will not deliver your package. If i was trying to go pick up packages i wouldnt have done an online order.

I dont kbow why but the service is very rude to me. Ive only been here twice I dont talk to them bad nor am I a bad customer. Just in case all of you ask. Whenever I comethe line seems to be moving quick. They all get customer after customer. But when its my turn they always pause and go to the back and do something else and make me wait. This black chick, sheila, did a very rude thing while she always assisting me. She brought another customer to where I was to help him out.WHILE I WAS WRITING MY TRACKING NUMBER WHILE SO THAT SHE COULD CHECK THE STATUS FOR MY PACKAGE!!! But she took thr other. Customer at the same time ans went back again doing whatever whatever she needed FOR THE OTHER CUSTOMER. Why do that while she is busy with me but had no problems on making making me wait while I was in the line and she was just in her place shuffling papers and all.

I receive emails that inform me of certain packages and items that Im set to receive and I never seem to get those items in the mail. Its happened multiple times and quite frankly Im very fed up with it. Ive called to address this issue but unfortunately its been met with a very apathetic attitude and it seems as though nothing gets done.

USPS Priority mail is a fraud in many cases.They report Priority packages delivered on their tracking site one day but they are not delivered until a day later. Another way a Govt agency tries to make themselves look better to the public statistically. Sad!

I just moved to Palestine after 20 years and this place has been marking out my name and sending my mail to the previous residents!!!!! So allll my art that Ive been buying for my new place has been stolen by this post office and sent elsewhere! No wonder everyone relies on fedex and ups, theyll actually deliver!
