Located in Tyler, not Palestine. They dont pick you up.

I would rate 0 stars if that were an option. I live in Fairfield and had to drive about 45 minutes to pick up my reservation today. I made this reservation September 17th. I get to the location to be see a sign saying that this location has been closed since Sept. 26th. I NEVER received any sort of phone call or email stating that they would not be able to honor my reservation, even though theyve held on to my personal information for the last three weeks. Upon calling their corporate number, I was basically told to pound sand. There was no thought to the inconvenience this is causing me, and no apology even offered. I now have to have someone drive me two hours away to pick up a vehicle from a different company. The careless indifference has caused someone who would be a loyal customer renting about a week almost every month to give someone else my money.

If I could give this place less than one star I most certainly would. We called ahead to verify their hours of business and showed up at approximately 3:45 p.m. The gentleman was obviously on his way out and extremely aggravated that we were there. In his hastiness we ended up getting home with a car that has no key fob. The best thing is roadside cant come until in the morning, so not only does Hertz have $644 of my money I am stranded. Ive been on the phone for 3 hours and cant get anything done.

Absolutely horrible customer service with no regard! Had reservations today in which I made it to the Hertz in Palestine at 438pm. Hertz agent gone with note on door to call her. I called her and because it was close to 5 she didnt want to come back. Asked me when I made reservations then stated she didnt have any vehicles when the parking lot was full of rentals. Dont ever rent from this Hertz!

Terrible experience!! Forgot to put gas in car, which was one quarter under where it was supposed to be, 73.00 charge!!! For one quarter tank when it only took 30.00 to fill it up!! Ok then charged me for Sunday when I returned it Saturday!! Then tells me Ill get my money back in 7 to 10 days!!! And gotta wait that long to get my deposit back!! I never recieved any contract for any terms, it is robbery to deal with this company.... lady was nice that is all, but no help to be had...rediculous....

I have been waiting two hours on Hertz to show up and give me my rental car! Reservation was at 8:00AM and its almost 10:00AM! I have a 9 hour drive to Kansas to pick up my car from the auto body shop (which closes today at 6PM)! If I dont make it to Kansas...I wont be able to get my car because the shop is closed on Saturday or Sunday! Shame on you Hertz! Very bad business!

Car was filthy and had an awful odor. I had to switch it with a car from the Tyler Hertz.I was told that the body shop there would completely handle everything with the insurance co. and Hertz, but when I returned the car, I found out that was not the case. Definitely would not rent from here again.

Alexa was a joy to work with at the office in Palestine and gave me an excellent deal. Very happy!

The car wasn’t clean, it was not full of gasoline, and I did not like the model (it was uncomfortable for my long drive)

VERY DISSATISFIED with Hertz and this one specifically. Charged for 4 days I did not have the rental. I was told to drop the keys in the drop box if it was after hours after telling the office staff I would turn in on Thursday at which she failed to tell me they would close early for the holiday. Its was 430 when I dropped off the car before even finalizing the purchase of my new car. She then told me that it was not checked in till the following Monday therefore I was responsible for paying for those days whether I had the car or not. I then called corporate explained all to them and asked that they pull the cameras for the date and time showing I did not have the car in my possession and they stated they would call me back and never did just as the office staff at the local office didnt nor would she answer my phone calls. So I was out approximately $160 because she failed to tell me they were closing early and because they didnt check it in until four days later NEVER will I use hertz and I will advise anyone I know seeking car rental service to go with enterprise!!!! And proud to say, Ive already gotten Enterprise several new customers!!Hertz, you dont even deserve a 1 star!
