During the pandemic, we needed an in person therapist for my child. Working with Jason has helped them a great deal. He has an approach that works for them more than anything we have ever tried. We really like his think outside the box thinking and his personality with our children. Every staff member I have met has always been kind and caring. We have had nothing but great experiences with them and highly recommend them.

Hidden in Palatine is this gem. I was looking into therapy for my 9 year old and fell in love with Express Yourself. All the specialists and therapists who work in the building are there best in the business and you can tell from the moment you walk in the door. They individually assessed my daughter to tailor a plan to address my daughters needs. Everyone who works there is a excellent roll model and they provide a excellent service. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend Express Yourself Therapy! My children have been attending here for a year and have made HUGE improvements in their speech. Jackie, Meghan, Melissa and Allison are all amazing at what they do and the kids truly look forward to attending their weekly session. The facility is an amazing, fun place to learn with slides, swings, trampolines and toys galore too!

I was not very happy with the services received for my special needs daughter. After one year I finally got a progress report with no real explanation other than excuses as to why no real therapy progress was reported. Beware!

The people here are so nice. I couldn’t ask for a better place. The progress I’ve seen working with Allison is very impressive. I’m very happy with Express Yourself. I highly recommend Allison and Express Yourself.

My kids have been going to group and individual therapy for about 2 years now at EYT. They love being able to have a social time with kids that are in their peer group. The 1:1 aspect has provided them with the ability to talk things out, with support, solutions and encouragement. Having a speech delay, ADHD and processing issues we have found our safe place! I am so happy that I was referred to them when I began looking after our previous therapist retired. We have worked with Jason, Melissa, Andi, Meghan, and Jackie- I would recommend this group to anyone interested in therapy, as they are able to take the pressure off and engage in a productive yet non-traditional manner.

Most amazing pediatric clinic in the suburbs. My two children have been receiving PT and speech. I can’t recommend this place enough.

I love this group!!! I have a little one who needed speech, developmental, occupational, and physical therapy. He has been working with EYT therapists for 9 months and has made tremendous strides.On top of exceptional therapists, they work with us and school and doctors to ensure all needs are met. EYT is the best for us by miles!!

Megan, Andi, and Allison... along with all of the other staff members that have worked with my daughter have presented themselves to be professional and knowledgeable. My daughter can’t wait to break free of her seatbelt the moment we pull up, and never wants to come home. This was something and a side to her we haven’t seen before so it left us feeling so relieved!She has a specifically unique connection with each therapist, and took very well to each. In particularly Megan has made My daughter feel at home and comfortable. Andi is very kind and soft spoken and very calm and patient. Allison is a ball of energy and Maeve lights up when she sees her too! She is very knowledgeable and also very caring... I can’t say I even have a favorite because my LO leaves happy each day.I couldn’t have asked for a better team of therapists for my little girl.I’m so grateful.Highly recommend and we drive about an hour just for them!Thanks guys! You’re wonderful!Oh, and the owner Melissa, is also so awesome and has taken time to step in if need be as a fill in to make surw my LO gets her therapy.Don’t go anywhere else! Melissa is a wonderful therapist! Smart, creative and fun!!!! My daughter considers her relationship with Melissa to be an important one - and that alone is a great thing. But, especially impressive, Melissa has helped my daughter discover her own reasons for engaging with others in richer and more meaningful ways. Hooray for Melissa!!!! Melissa has been such an inspiration for me! I came to Melissa when I was still in high school to shadow her; her passion for the kids is the reason I am now studying to become a speech-pathologist. I am currently finishing my second year of undergraduate school and Melissa has been with me every step of the way. Last summer, I interned with her whole team and helped out with the social outing groups and summer camp. Throughout the summer I got to know Olivia, Katie and Laura, who were there to answer any questions I had. My passion for this field stemmed from how much each child admired the staff. Each child was so excited for the events we had planned for the day and every time we had a good day, I was reminded why I am so excited to start a career in this field.

Express Yourself did a long distance evaluation and consult for my child. It was a thorough and comprehensive analysis and provided an excellent framework for understanding each stage of speech development and how to support each stage. Melissa and her team have worked with my family for several years now. Their expertise seems limitless, they offer a wide variety of services and programs, they maintain a fantastic clinic conducive for kids and teens and they do it all with genuine care and compassion. More so, her ability to look at your son or daughter across all environments - clinic, school, home and the community is simply invaluable.

This excellent service is provided by an exceptional Speech and Language professional who is guided by the philosophy of the DIR/Floortime model that supports the social and emotional development of the child. Your child will not simply learn discrete language skills but will develop the ability to communicate within his/her social world.

They set up a wonderful Environment that allows kids to be kids, as well as grow! I have had 2 children that have been seen here, and I cant tell you how wonderful it was to have my kids looking forward to therapy, and to see them make progress while they are having fun!

Very impressed with the knowledge and expertise that the speech therapists bring to the table. They focus on the individual needs of their patients and at the same time they support the patients family by providing insights to help with the patients speech development. This group works cohesively with occupational therapists, educational advocate, etc. to optimize all opportunities to help with a childs overall development.
