It has been a while since they treated my dog on a Sunday night after getting in a scrap with another dog, we drove 40 minutes to get there and they were waiting for us to take our Midge straight back for treatment; but the immediate care and treatment, she needed quite a few stitches, everyone was amazing. You could tell they cared about the client and the pet.The cost was reasonable and expected for after hour veterinarian services. I saw another post as expensive; it IS emergency care, and well worth it for the care and expertise given. 24 hour vet care is hard to find.
The staff here were wonderful, from the person who answered the phone at 2a.m. on Saturday night, to the staff there on Sunday morning at 9 when we took our 14 year old black lab in to be euthanized. They were kind and compassionate, explaining everything and even apologizing for the length of time we had to wait since they were extremely busy. Our labs last hour and his passing was made more peaceful for him and us thanks to these wonderful people. Oh, and it was all done at half the cost of what our regular vet wanted for a Sunday emergency visit.
We brought in our 6 month old cat who had been injured by a dog. Her lower jaw was completely broken, and she suffered a broken femur. They wired her jaw back together, administered antibiotics/pain medication, and took x-rays, showing us the broken femur. They instructed us to follow up with our regular vet, and were extremely knowledgeable and caring throughout the entire ordeal. I would recommend them to anyone seeking emergent animal care.Side-note: Im not sure why some of the other reviews complain about being charged money. Do people think veterinary care is free? These people are working continuously over the weekend to handle emergency animal care. I thought their prices were extremely reasonable.
Our 1st experience with this wonderful service in the wee hours of Sunday morning . The staff and Dr. Everett could not have been more attentive. I am so grateful to have this service available for weekends and holidays when our regular veterinary clinic is closed. Thank You All so much!
We took our 13yr old man, basset, in to our regular vet at 8a.m. 5/25/18 from my dog not being able to walk and falling over the night before and very uncomfortable. He was a little better and walking that morning though. We were given ear drops and an antibiotic from our normal vet with no blood work or x-rays. That night at like 9pm my boy seemed worse. We went here and not sure of Dr. On duty or assistant but both were very kind and even let me see x-rays and showed me details and hear the heart and rattling. Found out our old man had cancer and also could go at any time as well and what we could do in future and given meds. It is now almost 24hrs later and our baby is so much better. I know he is still old and not out of the woods by no means and is just probably his time before the cancer and other smaller issues take over but for now he is good. These people there were very great and loved on him. You could tell they loved their job and the babies they help. It must be hard to be away from family and friends on weekends when most of us are off or on holidays but these people are there and probably dont like to be away any more than we do no matter what job it is. I greatly appreciate them and the cost was fair because you cant put a price on a family member. So I thank you from the bottom of my heart for even giving me the sad news on my baby but also giving me another day with him no matter what. You guys rock and are greatly appreciated. People always are quick to give a bad review but never a great one. Much love and great vibes sent you all and future babies you help.
Horrible and traumatic experience, plus very expensive. Granddaughter’s puppy was run over on a Sunday. Diagnoses from vet on duty after only an x-ray was to take the puppy to Nashville for surgery on its bladder or euthanize him. Hearing this devastating diagnosis and no hope for recovery they decided to take pup home. Thankfully contacting a vet in their county they took pup for a second opinion. His pelvic is broken, but his bladder had not burst as they were told and he did not need a two thousand dollar surgery in Nashville. Three days later the pup is able to be up and pee and poop. Long recovery ahead for pelvic to heal, but he’s ALIVE and hopefully will have many good years. Do not take your precious pet to this clinic.
They did absolutely everything the could for my sons cat on Christmas Eve, no less. I couldnt have asked for more compassionate and caring people. Thank you for all you did for us and Ash.
Wonderful, today my 7 year old kitty had to be put down, and Dr. Wynn, and his entire staff were amazing. very compassionate and caring, I am so Thankful for them, you can tell they truly care about the animals and their owners. May God Bless them all
These people are very rude. They acted concerned and were ready to see my pet when I was transferred to them because they were on call. They are not and never will be my vet. I would not let them work on a pet rock. They were ready for me to bring my pet in until they found out I could not pay $75 up front. I thought emergency vets were more understanding than that. The rude lady said that if I couldnt pay then they couldnt help me. Because of them and their money grubbing people my pet died. I will never ever ever take anything to these people. They are terrible.
HORRENDOUS!!! I used this clinic about 6 pm, Saturday, April 1st. I called in advance, and was advised a vet was there, which is to be expected! I informed them I would be there in less than 30 minutes. I arrived well within that time frame. No one was in any hurry, waiting on a woman at the window, that clearly wasnt an emergency. I finally asked how much longer as my dog was suffering. They then took me back. Two techs were looking at my dog. I asked to see the vet and they said she had to LEAVE!! My 15.5 year old, frail dog, had just had some kind of episode, and appeared to be dying. She was crying in pain, and I wanted to ease her suffering, and there wasnt even a vet to check her!! The techs tried to euthanize her, but were terrible!! The whole ordeal took 10 to 15 minutes, and they stuck her at least half a dozen times. It was a nightmare!! Unfortunately I was told that the local vets now just forward their calls here. Obviously, they need a backup vet on call, who can be there immediately, or not call themselves an Emergency Vet center!!! It was INEXCUSABLE what they put my dog and me through. Only way I could write this review was give them one star, which they did not deserve.
It has been awhile since I had to take my dog there, but the care was excellent & the people there were friendly & knowledgeable.
Have always had a great experience at this clinic, highly recommend to anyone. Very knowledgeable and kind staff. Thanks to Dr. Wynn and his family for such a fantastic service
Absolutely horrible. We went in specially because we thought our dog had been bitten by a tick. She was showing symptoms and we did not want to wait till we could get into our other vet. After $500 of X-rays and blood work. They said pulled muscle did not even test for tick-borne even though thats what we said and it was the height of tick season. 48 hrs later. We get to our vet he tells us its Lyme disease in 5 minutes because he actually examines the dog. She fought hard with treatment for 6 months but eventually died. If it had been diagnosed when we brought her in her survival chance would have been extremely high
Very compassionate and sweet, thorough and a blessing during what was a very hard time for our family. They even stopped to reminisce about our dogs whole life.
Excellent care and compassionate staff! Would highly recommend to anyone needing emergency services!
I called concerned about my small beagle having puppies for the first time. This place wouldnt even talk to me, because she isnt established at this clinic. I just needed some advice and they wouldnt even talk to me! Very bad buisnbus!!!!!
On a trip back home to Minnesota from Florida, our 6 year old Golden Retriever developed Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus (GDV) aka Bloat it is life threatening without immediate surgery. Dr. Wynn and his staff diagnosed our dog quickly, acted urgently and saved her life at 9:00 pm on a Saturday. Words cannot express our gratitude, or the amazing care received by our dog.
Excellent care & veterinary services. Would use them again if needed. I recommend this service highly.
7/15/18I have read all reviews and my heart goes out to those who suffered a loss or had a bad experience. However, today I had to put down my Princess and they showed her nothing but love. She was dehydrated so yes required couple sticks to find a vein. But she was treated with dignity and wrapped in a bath towel and back into her carting bag. The vet herself carried her out and placed her into the car. Which u dont see at regular offices. I cant say nothing bad. My 13 yr old baby was treated for ear infection by regular vet and just kept declining, she was dying for 2 weeks before my eyes then when she began to scream out and I was gonna beg a vet to come in at her regular vet is how I got referred. I called and they were there to end her suffering. I was in and out without a long wait and just overall had a good experience they explained why she had been acting as I had described located by touch the tumor and knots in her neck had nothing to do with her ears. My girl had cancer wasnt no saving her 2 weeks earlier when I paid 100.00 for the meds and her visit. They were very friendly and compassionate. Wasnt just another animal to put down or routine. Im thankful for.their services.
Took my miniature yorkie, ( in April 2017) because she was vomitting, and wouldnt eat, drink, and very lethargic. The vet on duty, did bloodwork, and supposedly a CT to make sure she didnt have a blockage. Said no blockage, she probably ate something outside, gave me antibiotics and nausea med for her, and said bring her back if not better. $487 later and next day she was worse and vomitting green bile, took her back, they gave her a shot of fluids, and said that should help. Took her home, and she continued to decline, the next morning (Monday), I called her regular vet, who said bring her in immediately, they requested records from West Kentucky Emergency Vet, from the weekend visits, which my vet never received! My regular vet, did CT and new labs, and my yorkie, had a bowel blockage, that they immediately took her to surgery, had to stay in doggie hospital for a week! I almost lost my baby due to their neglect and incompentacies! Awful makes me cry every time I think about it, and if I had of just waited and rode it out as the vet advised me, my baby would have died in the next couple of days. I would not take any animal, even one dead on side of road to that place! Absolutely horrible.
Visiting family in the area over the Christmas holidays. Our chow started passing blood in her urine. We called the clinic Christmas Day. They said bring her right over. An exam, a urine sample and a prescription for antibiotics for her urinary tract infection. Now shes home taking her meds and drinking cranberry juice. Thank you, Dr. Wynn, Mrs. Wynn and staff for being there for us on Christmas Day..
They were so nice and very knowledgeable! Definitely recommend Dr. Wynn!
Had to take our puppy. They were wonderful and not nearly as expensive as I figured for a holiday evening.
Theyve always been so helpful and thorough. I would recommend them to anyone.
After putting my cat to sleep, I came home, and opened the box to discover they had tied him up in a trash bag. Super disrespectful whether he was gone or not.
Very helpful
No vet when needed
