Danny is the best. I had my car towed there during off hours, and Danny came over anyways, diagnosed the issue, and had it repaired soon after- during his off time and for a reasonable price. He saved my day! HIGHLY recommend over anyplace else!

I refer alot of my customers to go to sharps to have repairs and diagnosis done which I am not allowed to do at my shop. I have not had any customers return with anything but good news and thank yous. Danny and Oscar are very nice and honest guys. They do get busy and appointments work best.

I am still a customer now that Oscar and Danny own the shop - they do a great job - Jim was great but Oscar and Danny are too...they are honest, knowledgeable, straight forward...I highly recommend Sharps Auto Service in Port Hueneme - nice guys that know what they are doing.

I am giving 2 stars because these guys messed up my car even more. I wanted to add this review a while ago, but after leaving their shop, I had issues I didnt have before. I brought in my Japanese vehicle because of internal engine issues caused by the water pump. They took the rear bank head apart and uncovered bent valves and scarred camshaft. Great, they found an issue that needed to be fixed. I bought the parts and had them installed; water pump and belt, valves and camshaft. They drove it and said it is running great, except that it is throwing codes and misfiring in the rear bank of cylinders.They told me they dont know what is causing it and that its something internal and if I wanted it fixed that it would cost me another $2000, on top of the $2100 I had paid for the work. Then they advised, it should go a way and it isnt going to cause an issue. Well, months passes by and the misfiring and codes hadnt gone a way. Then I had to leave for a few months for military training. After coming back, it was still there. After changing spark plugs and coil packs, the issue persisted, I had no clue what was wrong. So I contacted a family friend whom is a retired Japanese Auto Mechanic/Engineer and said hed take a look.He found some issues with the Crank Angle Sensor, Timing was off by a tooth when the water pump was installed, and they didnt install the valve springs to the manufactures specifications, causing the misfires to only the rear bank, to which they had worked solely on. The front bank was not misfiring. He also told me good thing you didnt drive the car too much or you would have caused bigger issues if this was not addressed.In short, BE CAUTIOUS! I only went to these guys because of the reviews and maybe mine was a fluke, but nevertheless, they didnt own up to it and didnt fix the problem, which would have been catastrophic and i paid for a service that was less than stellar.

Its so hard to find someone that can literally work on anything. We have both foreign and domestic cars and we found out they are all welcome at Sharps. Our edgy muscle car got the same professional treatment as our Honda. I took my sons car in and even though my son picked it up they patiently took the time to go over what it needed once with each of us.

These guys consistantly offer fair prices and honest assessments. Any time I need something Sharpes Auto is always my first choice. I bring my ford e350 and toyota prius and have been impressed with their pricing, communication, and quality of work every time. They even identified a time that a previous auto mechanic had tried to scam me. The best review i could leave is that i am a customer for life.
