Joe did a great job on my hair. He cut it exactly as I described, in under 20 minutes. After going home and washing my hair, it styled perfectly and the cuts were all the right length. Its tough finding a good barber, but Joe hit a home run today. This was my first time in the shop and I was impressed with how clean it is. There is a nice, vintage and nostalgic vibe to the place. I recently moved to Owings Mills and I was looking for a new barber. This place is great old school all the way! My barber was Tanna and she gave me the best cut I’ve ever gotten! Fun, Fast and Friendly! I highly recommend her and this shop! Will be going back to see Tanna in 3 weeks

I was looking for a barber for my 4 year old son, and found Joe based on the positive reviews on Google. I was able to book an appointment online for the next day and had it confirmed. I was hesitant to take my son to a barbershop, because my son cried during previous haircutting experiences. Joe made his haircut process very enjoyable. He is punctual and his shop is very clean. He took our temp upon arrival and talked to me as well as my son throughout the process. My son and I love his haircut and will definitely be returning in the future for his haircuts.

Found Joe at Floyds some time back and was extremely happy with him. Moved to him from a hair stylist I had been using for 15-20 years prior. I was a bit worried when I thought I had lost contact upon going back to Floyds to book an appointment! Fortunately, nope hes not far!He is very professional, master of his craft, loves what he does, and most importantly LISTENS to what youre asking for. (This is why I left my old stylist... she would cut my hair as she felt a not listen to changes I asked for.)Couldnt be happier! I was looking for an honest to goodness barber since my guy retired. Im not looking for a $40 haircut in a salon. They arent easy to find one but I stumbled across Bare Bones on the internet. What a find. When you walk into the main building it looks like a mall of salons but just head to Joes shop. You willwalk in to a barber shop, not a salon, fantastic atmosphere. Great haircut and straight razor neck shave. Clean, on time, great conversation. Awesome. Price is spot on too. Ive told ever guy Ive met in the area that this is where they should go unless you need your nails done at the same time. 😉. 5 stars

I used to frequent the Floyds in Willow Grove, PA until my barber, Joe Dowell, left to open his own spot in Owings Mills, MD. After attempting to find another suitable barber to keep my extremely dense, curly beard in check, I realized that it would be better to make the drive...thats right, I drive 5+ hours round trip for this guy to trim my beard, and do straight shaves!Recently, my local stylist wasnt available, so Joe cut my hair as well. Needless to say, Joe is now exclusively cutting my hair as well, and I couldnt be happier. Hair and beard always on point thanks to this guy. Dont go to anyone else. He is the man!!!

Met Joe while he was working for a corporate shop a little more than a year ago and followed when he opened his own place. Hes a classic barber in a modern world, offering traditional and modern cuts in a clean, well-lit shop while keeping the classic barbershop feel. And if thats not enough, the guy can talk your ear off in the best way possible. All in all, a guy who loves his job and takes joy in making you look good.
