Rather it be a bill or a deposit everyone deserves help policy shouldnt dictate who needs help based off the type of bill or payment why be called the help office if you cant help someone keep the lights on but you wonna tell people Jesus loves them let alone someones first time asking for assistance theres people that dont work at all getting there bills paid by this organization Every month.

I find places like the Help Office to be political. They seem to help certain people while they think others can find their own way. I asked for help with a small bill and got the run around. Fast forward several years and Im now in a better place financially. Im also in the position to help a worthy organization with a small donation on occasion. The Help Office needs to rethink how they treat others.

Been without electricity for 3 months. Interviewer seemed to really wanna help, but the main lady said the bill was too high. I knew that going in, but I hoped for some partial help and get the rest of the funds at various other places. And after filling out all the worthless paperwork, including foods I like, I wasnt even offered something to make a sandwich with. Place is worthless and mismanaged. Needs to be shut down!!!!

These people were so helpful in my time of need.

God given people here!! just wish more people could donate so they can help more families I understand there are going to be people who use the system, are lazy and rather spend their money on drug then bills hoping for places like this to pay it but we have to have faith!

If you are looking for a place in Owensboro to go to to find a little help then go to the help office of Owensboro you can find a very big Clothes Closet with about 6 different rooms of room for kids room for adults room for men room for women and they had the biggest food pantry in Owensboro you can only go to it once every 6 months because theyre very limited on food but they are supported by different churches in town and if they cant help you they will send you to one of these churches that can so I would definitely recommend going here because they care about everybody in Owensboro getting some sort of Health in one way or another they even help you with gas vouchers or bus tickets

I dont think ill ever be going back to the help office.. the men there seem like they think they know it all and put woman down alot..Yea apperntly its a bad thing to have a lot of medical expenses including a service dog. But then they are fine with allowing pets.Not to mention I told them and even wrote down i was highly allergic to peanuts.. they put peanutbutter frozen treats with the meat.. I wouldnt of had a problem if they were separated, I would of redonated them. But they melted and got all over the other things that I sadly had to toss out or id end up in the hospital..Nobody should spend 250 on medical expenses at your age.. uh what.. I know I spend way more than that... Thats just half of what I spend.. I didnt want to mention the real price of my medical expenses.. and honsetly I shouldnt have to even tell them about my medical issues.And to belittle former Marine because he cares about his family is ridiculous and disrespectful.. for a pastor at a church you would think.. that the person we spoke with would be Abit more kinder.However they do help. And i am ever so grateful for that.. but their lack of respect was heartbreaking.. its already hard enough for me to ask for help..

They recieve money from the churches and dont want to help anyone. If you go their every month youll get help but if you go every six months they wont help.

Monday and Thursday I had came here to the Help Office at 11:40 A.M. and those two days Ive been here trying to get help they keep closing the doors early when they dont closed until at 12:00 P.M, so because of this my OMU Bill will be getting shut off. Im dissatisfied with the hours. I had talked to the guy and he told me since no clients hasnt been here to the Help Office within an hour they are closing early. All I need was just a Purple voucher saying they couldnt help because Ive been here within couple of months with another bill . The guy told me the Help Office probably wont be open tomorrow to call to make sure or I will have to wait until Tuesday of next week.
