I unfortunately experienced a house fire that required an extensive rebuild. Disaster Team was on location the morning of the occurrence with a stuffed animal for my child and offered us reassurance that every thing would be fine. Having that initial personal contact with a locally owned company can not ever be replaced during troubling times. Their representatives lead me through the steps to recover my home and Items tragically lost. My home owners insurance agent and adjuster had both worked with Disaster Team in the past; so communication was outstanding and the process remained fluid through every hurdle. I did not believe my 100+ year old home could be retro fitted to adjust to today’s codes, buttheir master carpenters incorporated the home’s existing charm with a full restoration. The technicians handled my personal items with the utmost respect, and the project managers where always willing to walk me through my questions. We are very lucky to have a fully licensed company who specializes in these situations located just down the street. I would highly recommend The Disaster Team of Owensboro! Our experience with Disaster Team was amazing. Water was accidentally left on at our shop, causing it to flood. We called Disaster Team (after hours) and within the hour, they were there working to get the water out and getting everything dried up. They were professional, efficient and the price was fair. Would highly recommend them. They made what could have been a painful and drawn out process very quick and painless.

They showed up almost immediately and got to work, worked with our insurance adjuster, kept in contact with me throughout the entire process, and did a great and timely job with the remodel. Fast on time and great quality disaster team showed up when they said they would and got the job done. High quality work no issues. They did a fantastic job on my roof.

I contacted them to repair water damage. After the initial visit, Landon assured me he would send someone out to take a look at the damage. After several contacts to request follow up and assurances that someone would be sent to the house “soon”, I gave up and moved on. Unfortunately, the next few guys did not follow up either. Ultimately, I accepted a bid from a contractor out of Louisville. I was hoping to support my local economy, but it has been my experience for many years that local contractors do not follow through. Plumbers and electricians have been the exception.

Paul and Jordan have always taken care of all my needs. Excellent people to work with. Would recommend to anyone.

Disaster Team’s professional crews made sure our house was taken care of after we found a water leak in our kitchen. Not only was the schedule communicated to us punctually, but when there were conflicts Disaster Team accommodated many inconveniences. My wife and I would like to give a huge shout out to Disaster Team’s Danny Courtney for making sure we got our lives and home back to normal!

It is always a pleasure to work with Disaster Team. We are called on often to help with certain projects and they are always prompt and courteous. We have had the pleasure of seeing some of the tremendous work they have done over the years when at times problems seemed unfixable but they always figure it out.

We were having an issue with a bathroom vent which I told them about that I expected to be trouble but the person that came to inspect it gave an honest appraisal of the situation which wasnt expensive and much less than I expected to spend. I appreciate their honesty.

They use the disaster part to get the job and they do with your insurance company to get as much covered as possible (more profit for them). That is where the professionalism ends. They cut corners on reconstruction, dont want to work with you on order of operations, send convicted felons to your home unsupervised and dont return calls. I know of two other local families that have also had a miserable experience with Disaster Team. BE WARE!!!

I have had two separate incidents that both required me to call for assistance. I called the DT and they showed up really fast! They were respectful with my personal items and very compassionate as I was very upset with the situation. The second time they came out, they remembered me! Very professional and efficient. Hopefully I wont have any more incidents, but if I do, I will most definitely call the Disaster Team!
