We just got a kitten here. The process was easy, and the staff clearly care about the animals. The kitten was already dewormed, microchipped, treated for fleas, and partially vaccinated when we picked him up. We just have to bring him back for neutering.

We had to get our cat fixed, and try to get some kittens out of the house. The lady at the counter was extremely helpful, and informative. We offered to pay her for helping us, but she said we didnt need to.

Officers were more than helpful when my dog got out and it was determined the dog actually had another owner when the vet we picked him up from had not found his microchip. Through all this they explained to me the process and the chances of me receiving my dog back. Incredibly professional and very happy they were there to help me. Even called me to let me know the situation with the dog. Very pleased with this shelter and Owasso Animal Control Officers.

Ive been trying to get a hold of them about a lost dog for about a week and noone has answered the phone. So whoever is missing their lovely dog who is all white and appears to be a Chihuahua/Jack mix, Im very sorry that animal control does not want you to have your puppy back.

Our dog was picked up after getting out and getting into a fight with another dog. She has never been even sort of aggressive in the past and she is the sweetest dog you could ever imagine. So it broke our hearts to hear that this happened when we got home that day. Being that it happened on a Saturday we weren’t able to find out any info until Monday and we were terrified to hear what they said. When we called they were very nice and helpful and told us what we had to do in order to get her home. When we went to pick her up they were just as amazing as they had been on the phone. I could tell they truly care about the animals unlike what the other reviews may have you believe. They took care of our baby in her worst time and I thank them for that.

My mom and I found a cat and it had just snowed the cat was malnourished and shivering when we found her, the lady working there her name was Agnoli or something like that but I asked if she had room for a cat and told her the cats situation, it’s below freezing and she goes “you can just put her back where you found her it’s okay to let them roam” and so instead I asked if there were any other shelters that could take her in and she said ya do you need a number and I said sure that would be great so she GAVE ME A NUMBER TO A FREAKING BANK!!! I WAS POLITE I SAID THANK YOU AND LEFT BEFORE I EVEN CALLED THE NUMBER TO BE SURE THEY HAD ROOM FOR ANOTHER CAT BUT YOU KNOW BANKS CANT TAKE IN CATS... I also read through the comments and apparently she’s got plenty bad reviews...But if you want a cat they have plenty!!

The lady running this shelter is one of the RUDEST people I have ever encountered! Wanted to set up an appointment to adopt a cat from Pet Smart which is thru these people and after I explained to her over the phone which kittens we had fell in love with at the store she says they are skittish and not a good fit for my 10 year old daughter. She has never met us or my daughter. Here we are trying to rescue 2 kittens and she refused to even set up an appointment to meet us! I asked ok do you have another cat in mind that would be a good fit and she says You know what? NEVER MIND And then hangs up on me! Im stunned! Im trying to teach my kid to choose animals that need rescued and THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT CLIENTS? WOW! By the way maam my 10 year old who we were wanting to get the kittens for loves cats. She has rescued scared wild kittens from her grannys cats MANY MANY times since she was a tiny girl. And not only that worked with them for weeks calming and taming them down. You should have met with us! You seem to be over run with cats and we were an excellent choice. We own a 25 acre horse ranch with other animals plus a 2 story home where our cat will live! Any cat we would have adopted from you would have been treated like a baby by my daughter. She lives and breathes animals. Spends every spare second she can with her pets. While most kids are wrapped up in electronics she is out with her horses and dog! We met with another animal shelter in Claremore and they instantly liked my daughter! They were thrilled to help her adopt her cat today! We fell in love with several cats while there and plan to go back for at least 1 more once this cat has settled in good. You need to get an attitude adjustment Annette or whatever your name was! Seems like you treat everyone like this from looking at reviews. BTW I called Pet Smart back and explained how you treated me and they were not thrilled. Even the manager admitted you were hard to deal with. For every animal that has to be put down because you turned down appointments and adoptions from interested customers you should be ashamed..... I understand there are bad people out there that abuse animals but that is what appointments are for! To get to know your would be adopters!

Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to surrender an animal at the Owasso Animal shelter. What was already a difficult situation for me was made even worse by the staff there. Especially “officer” Agnoli(close enough). She was rude, impolite and down right mean in the way she handled the situation. I understand it takes a “special” type of person to work in an animal shelter. But if mean spirited, cold hearted and ugly are requirements then this woman should be employee of the month every month. Thanks a lot “officer” Agnoli(or whatever) for making a tough situation even worse.

Staff is rude and cold hearted.I called because there were three dogs loose and after trying for an hour with multiple people stopping to help we caught all but the last one and had no idea who the owners were. Thankfully we were able to pen the dog in a back yard that it ran into. When animal control arrivearrived (man and woman they didnt give me their names) I was ignored half the time I was talking and anytime one of my questions were answered it was with a snarky remark and smug look. The woman yanked the two dogs out of my front seat with a choke leash on (not a catch pole just a leash that continues to tighten on their necks when pulled on) these dogs were terrified and animal control showed zero compassion for them and had no care in the world for their well being at this time. Then when they finally got back to the loose dog in the fenced yard they completely ignored us (my husband and myself) and shoed us away after whispering to themselves that they were going to get the catch pole. They need a job that isnt around animals or people if they believe the way they treated us and the dogs was acceptable. The animal control officers gave off the vibe that they didnt want to be there and honestly I wish I hadnt even called them.
