This was our first ever air boat ride. I have to say Black Hammock were great! Captian J was great and he was very knowledgeable of the area with some great information. He was wonderful with the kids too! We went for a sunset ride and the views were incredible and we saw more then a few gators! The kids loved it. Would highly recommend them! Plus the Lazy Gator was a great pub for a drink after with a wonderful view of the lake and the sunset. Plus the bartender was great!

Really fun ride. Great tour guide/captain. Wish we would have stopped to watch the birds a bit more, but def fun and worth the price 😃

We went during the off season so I would definitely check what time of year you go so you dont waste any money not seeing any gators (like me) who also did the hour boat ride. But it was a fun and calming experience on an airboat going through the marshes. We got to see their birds and gators in their enclosures but I wish I saw more gators. :/

Not really sure, I had been there 10yrs ago and it was great, this trip out it was blah. The Capt of the boat was fairly knowledgeable, but we didnt see very many gators. They woul pop up and then back into the water we saw none sunning and we were out there around 11. Would I go again maybe after the pandemic is over and things settle down. Theyre still short staffed so got to cut them some slack.

This place is awesome our tour guide capt Will was great he knew his history on the water/land (fun facts)& was a very funny guy. It was fun holding a baby gator & feeding the big ones & they have these beautiful parrots you can feed. Then when your done doing all of these things you can go inside & have good food & drinks or sit outside. The place is very nice & I would highly recommend it. Loved it!❤🐊👍

Great place! Captain Sammy and Andrea were super knowledgeable about the lakes and wildlife and helpful and we learned lots! Glad we got to see quite a few gators for how hot it was!!

Good food, it has a small zoo with rescued birds, also have some alligators. The drinks were made perfect such as margaritas, beautiful landscape and outdoor seating next to the river. Plenty of parking and airboat rides. They can use bathroom updates but other than that a great place to bring the family.

By far the best air boat tour I have ever experienced. I highly recommend the 1 hour VIP-Eco tour, you will not regret it. Captain Steve is extremely knowledgeable and professional.

Do it! So much fun! We did 30 minutes and saw alligators, turtles, birds. It’s just so beautiful and something you won’t ever see without going on the water. Captain Tim was great! Awesome experience!

This was definitely one of the best parts of our trip! Captain Tim was great! We saw 20 plus alligators while on our boat ride from tiny ones to about 16 foot ones. We did a boat ride in the everglades five years ago and saw two alligators on that ride. Of course its going to depend on the day and weather on how many alligators you see, but this place did not disappoint. Our kids loved holding the alligator too. The only negative I can say were the bathrooms arent the best, but the restaurant bathroom was good.

The property was beautiful. Everyone was very friendly and the tour was a blast. Very windy on the boat I would suggest brining an extra layer to be safe.

Captain Jay was on point, the weather was beautiful and captain jay knew all the spots to visit and got us up close and personal with some big gators 🐊 and was very knowledgeable about all the surrounding wetlands and wildlife, I would definitely recommend the airboat tour... we also ate, the food was delicious and the staff was wonderful!! WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!! ❤️ (the pictures are a copy) but the originals are perfect!!

We had an awesome airboat ride. Captain Tim was great. We saw many alligators, pretty large ones too.Its worth the hour long ride because you get to go across the lake to see the larger alligators.

Wonderful boat rides, even if you dont always get to see gators. The gators can be elusive, but they have ones that you can hold and get pictures with.Highly recommend doing this!

Easy to book online, easy to find. Tim, our captain, was very nice and knowledgeable. We saw a few alligators but was hoping to see more. They have a gift shop, bar, restaurant and other animal exhibits on site. With the headsets to help with the loud engine, was hard to hear him at times, a mic and speaker system would be helpful.

Amazing hidden gem! You can feed gators and birds! I havent experienced the airboat ride but will soon because I love this place. You can also launch your own boat/canoe/kayak for $10 at their ramp. They have a bar and a restaurant.

I cannot say enough good about Black Hammock. This is where I proposed to my now fiance. They really pulled out all the stops AND helped keep everything discreet until the moment I proposed. The office staff was great with helping us move things around when we had some hiccups happen before we arrived. I truly cannot say enough good about Black Hammock and their airboat tours!

AMAZING!! The tour boat guide was VERY knowledgeable and fun.

We have been here many times but this time we brought family for the 1 hr airboat ride. We had Sam as our guide and she was very good and knowledgeable. We saw an abundance of gators and wildlife. I would recommend it for a family excursion. I would suggest adding another waitress for the terrace area. We waited a bit for service but was not a big deal because we enjoyed the view.

Took my wife and kids here for an hour long airboat tour. We really enjoyed the trip. The hour went by super quick so would definitely recommend doing the hour tour. Got to see lots of gators, nesting osprey, snakes, wild birds. Kids enjoyed the trip across the lake the most as that was the only time we went fast! Got to hold a gator at the end which was a nice touch. Only disappointment was we couldnt get a table to eat at the restaurant even though it was very quiet.

Awesome experience. The captain was funny and engaging. She provided history, stories and context to the places we visited and she made sure we saw plenty of wildlife including alligators. I am from Virginia and was visiting relatives in Florida. They took us on an airboat ride 5 years ago. So my husband and I decided to surprise our son and daughter in law with an hour ride. They loved it! We had a very knowledgeable and entertaining female captain. Thank you!!

Nice place to hangout with friends and family especially at sunset. Friendly staff. Quite and beautiful place to spend. They also have gators and various birds.

We saw alligators up close and personal in their natural homes. Educational tour with discussion of nearby wildlife, not only limited to alligators. The airboat ride is a unique experience with great maneuvering by the captain.

If you’re down in the Orlando area, I highly recommend this place. I had the opportunity to feed and hold alligators and birds. Captain Tim was a blast and very entertaining. The restaurant and bar also have some great options if you want to grab lunch. Highly recommend, thank you for the memory.

My family and I had an amazing time on our tour. Even though it the chances were low on seeing gators we were able to see some. Also learning about the lake and the wildlife was great. The area is absolutely beautiful as well. The staff was great and so was our Captain.

Great experience. They were very accommodating to my disabled father to allow him to be able the airboat ride. Definitely recommend. Restaurant does need a bit more ramps to make eating at it easier to access tho with wheelchairs. But great service and food otherwise.

My husband and myself were visiting Orlando Florida for our honeymoon, we decided to try out Black Hammocks Airboat tour. I must say although we didnt get to see any alligators while Im the marsh we did get to see the cattle in the marsh lol that blew my mind alone. Also Captain Shawn was great. Whatever questions we asked he was very knowledgeable. And although we were the only 2 on the boat he treated us as if the boat was full and went above trying to get us to see something. And customer service was good as well. thank you all. All the way from the 757 VA. P.S. we loved Lucy.

This was a pretty cool experience. We were visiting family and they planned a surprise trip of taking us out on a lake with 10,000 alligators and the only thing separating us from the gators was the hull of the fan boat. The captain of the boat built suspense but showing us bite marks on the boat ;)! This was our first experience being on an airboat and it was pretty cool. The captain was a spectacular driver, we were doing 360’s, taking high speed turns and drifting on the water. Everyone on the boat had ear to ear smiles during the whole ride. The trip ended with a sample platter of fried alligator. Human:1, Gator:0. ‘MERICA baby!

Awesome ride with Captain Steve Sunday morning with the family celebrating my nephews birthday.The weather was perfect.Exhilarating ride through waterways looking for any wildlife.Glimpsed a tail but mostly beautiful waterfowl,herons and juvenile bald eagles.Then back to fish camp where we had the opportunity to hold the lovely lil Lucy.For most a once in a lifetime experience.She was very cool.In more ways than one.Cant wait to go again.

Airboat ride was great, even with breakdown, saw lots of birds and alligators, Captain was good and shared lots of information. We were on the 1:30 tour on Friday 3/12. Advise to eat before you go. Has bar and restaurant, but have to pay for adult beverage separate from meal. Tried to eat before trip, but could not get anyone to take order, after about waiting 20 minutes she stops by table, but tells us, probably not get served fast enough for boat trip..about 30 minutes later . So we take tour, come back, get table, wait 10-15 minutes, before any one comes, did not order as was told delivery truck did not come, out of fries and Fish tocos, so left...really would be good place to open a restaurant and hired people who were interested in taking customers orders.

Finally took an airboat ride at Black Hammock after living in Orlando for over 50 years. Our captain, Sammy, did a fantastic job steering us around Lk Jesup. We spotted one gator on our trip despite windy and rainy weather. We hung out for a few hours afterwards ordering a late lunch and enjoying some drinks. Its a must do activity if youre in the area.

Was looking for live music for a Sunday afternoon. This Sunday they didnt have any. Would definitely be back. Lots of different things to do.

First time ever experiencing anything like this and it was a lot of fun for myself and my son. Would have gotten 5 stars if there hadnt been a little girl who looked maybe 2 was screaming majority of the time, but overall Id definitely go back again when we visit Florida in the future.

It was a great experience that really showed the diversity of Florida’s wildlife. Our guide who was the female named Sammy did great in explaining to us each wildlife organism we encountered. My only complaint is that it ended to soon haha! Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting!

Amazing airboat ride with a few twists and turns. Driver was very good and took time to tell us what species we were seeing. Didnt stay for food but it smelt delicious. A great place well with the drive away from idrive for a while.

Weve been here 3 times over the last ten years and have enjoyed it each time. The airboat ride is fun and the guides knowledgeable. They are currently renovating/rebuilding some areas.

I absolutely loved the air boat ride. However the restaurant could use some workers in the kitchen and waitstaff. We waited 2 hours for our food.

First we were an hour early for the airboat ride, was looking for a store or something before hand for the kids to run around and play, happy we decided to head to black hammock instead cuz the hour went by so fast once we started feeding the alligators and birds. We walked around and checked out the wild gators too. After the boat ride we went and ate at the restaurant, great food, excellent service and fast too! We ordered allot of apps to start off with, the 2 for 1 margaritas was nice on the hot day! The kids loved it, had more fun there then we did all week and we did allot this week for spring break! Would definitely go back and definitely mentioned it to friends and family.

We were there a half hour after they opened so we werent ready to eat we decided to walked around a bit and go back sometime in the future

First time on an air boat. It was really fun. Saw many different bird species, gators and a gator having a snack... Loved it!!!

Our airboat captain was Will. He was an awesome guide. He was fun and great with the kids.

Great experience the captain was amazing loads of information. We saw two gators well a glimpse at least be prepared to get wet :)Toilets were pretty bad and in disrepair.

I had a great time riding the boat and getting to see the wildlife. Theres so many types of birds and plenty of gators. The guides are fun and knowledgeable and swing the boat through the water. Plus theres a restaurant and bar on site to eat or drink while you wait for your ride. If youre in the area I highly recommend this.

The airboat ride was way better than expected. We loved going full speed across the lake and winding through the marsh. If you are trying to decide on how to spend your vacation time, this place deserves to be at the top of the list.

We had an amazing ride today with Sami! We saw at least 10 gators and many birds. Just beautiful. The airboat ride Sami took us on was informative and most of all FUN!! The food at the restaurant was also delicious. Kirsten was a friendly and fast server with a big welcoming smile! Definetly recommend doing an airboat ride here with Sami! You will love it!

You spent all that money on the enclosed bar and couldnt even lay it out so the bar faces the water?Cant get food on a Saturday afternoon at the outside bar?Nope, wont be back and wont recommend.I know you have enough gimmicks, ads and local following that the loss of my business isnt going to bother your bottom line.Its just a shame that you dumped so much money into that bar and its wasted.

It was fantastic its a lot of gators one in particular was really big so we went on this my eldest daughter and her granddaughter my great-granddaughter for her 17th wanted to try and have birthday and her boyfriend Jeremiah and it just was so good I want to go again when Chaser comes down to visit next month then we had a bite to eat there was pretty good Jennifer got a side of Gator bites and Ive gotten so that I like that believe it or not wanted to try and have more of the family but just cant ever seem to get anybody on the same schedules so this is why it ended up with just the four of us we were out on Lake Jesup like I said lalalalala of gators beautiful day too thank you Lord Jesus going to go now love to all you & yours by the way Im telling you all about our experience we went out on a airboat

Definitely recommend this place! It is an especially good deal if you get one of the package deals. The one I got included a free drink (with novelty beverage container), some gator bites, and an airboat tour.The airboat ride really slaps! Be prepared for some intense wind because you go pretty fast. Overall lots of fun and something way different than the amusement parks. I got to hold a smaller gator with my friend too, it was much softer than I would have expected. Orlando has lots to offer besides the amusement parks.

We had a great time! I was only able to book a half hour online. The lady inside the giftshop, was helpful in getting us squeezed in to the hour that we initially wanted. The manager was very kind and helpful getting the refund taken care of and the purchase for the hour tour. Captain Tim was awesome, and we would definitely recommend one of his tours. We were able to find 19 gators while on the airboat. He was very informative and made it a fun tour to be on!

Airboat ride was an awesome experience! Captain Tim did a great a great job giving us Minnesotan’s a great Florida experience! Saw tons of cool birds and lots of gators, some were legit dinosaurs!

Expensive.. The boat isnt that fast, also you did not see many alligators whatsoever I seen one and it was around 12 PM really did a half hour tour. You do get a hold a small gator with a taped mouth at the end For free for picturesI honestly would not go back

I have lived in Florida for 32 years and NEVER been on airboat ride till 2 weeks ago. Let me tell you it was FANTASTIC!!! It was so much fun and seeing the gators up close was great! We will be going back again very soon!

My son and I spent a long weekend in Florida for his 8th birthday. We decided we wanted to do the airboat ride instead of the zoo on the morning of the day we were flying back to Pittsburgh. The staff at this place was incredible! The ticketing/giftshop people, the boat captain, and the restaurant staff were amazing! I feel awful I forgot to tip the boat captain. He deserved at least $20. We saw so many alligators, turtles, and birds! It was a very enjoyable experience. The restaurant was good. Feeding the alligators hotdogs was a bit boring as they were not hungry, but hand-feeding those gentle macaws peanuts and watching them break them open and eat them was great! I think I may have enjoyed it even more than my son.

This was a fun last minute excursion. The weather wasnt great for seeing gators, but we saw a few. Ron was a super Captain!

My family of five thoroughly enjoyed our airboat ride around Black hammock lake. Although the gators werent out, we saw lots of beautiful scenery. We even saw a bald eagle and nest! Captain Steve was fun, safe, and knowledgeable. 👍I recommend the ride! Go early and watch weather.
