We enrolled our son in Sylvan to get him ready for 1st grade. He struggles with recognizing his letters and the sounds. Sylvans teachers helped him in so many ways! He now has confidence in himself, which he never had before! Anna was a blessing! She always responded right away when I had concerns, and kept in contact with me regarding his progress every step of the way. We sincerely thank Sylvan and Anna especially, for our sons progress!

We had and terrific experience at Sylvan in Oviedo. We will definitely be using them for homework help in the future. He had done a couple of trial sessions at a Math center prior, but we found the support at Sylvan was just so much better for our son.

I brought my son in over the summer because he had fallen behind during distance learning caused by Covid. His confidence was shaken and he was starting to hate school. By the time summer was over he had regained his confidence and was completely caught up and ready for 3rd grade. I can’t thank Ana and her team enough for all they did.

I highly recommend this tutoring center because of its quality teachers and management. The center director provides a very uplifting and positive atmosphere for students.Students are encouraged to excel and are consistently evaluated to make sure that they are making progress in their learning. The teachers are highly qualified and work hard to make sure each student gets the most out of their tutoring session. I would send my child here in a heartbeat!

I went here for ACT prep, focusing in Math. I only had 2 weeks before my test and we were incredibly worried I would not be able to get the score I needed to get in that short amount of time. However, they worked incredibly well with my schedule and were very very flexible. They tended to my weaknesses and made sure i was the most comfy i could ever be with all of the test material. My score went from a 27 to a 30!! My math in itself went from a 23 to a 31!!

We have been very impressed by the team at Sylvan - Oviedo. Its great seeing both my kids (ages 8 and 10) ready to go to tutoring without complaining and come out of their sessions happy and confident about the progress they are making. Ana and her husband are simply great to work with and look forward to continuing our time here over the next school year!

I am very fortunate to have found Sylvan during the pandemic. We have been e-learning the whole school year and my daughter struggled with school for the first time in 5 years. After 3 months of challenges and falling behind, I found Sylvan. Ana provided my daughter with a comprehensive examination to see where her strengths and weaknesses lies. This helped her form a schedule that we implemented to help her grow her trouble areas. Within weeks my daughter had improved in both her grades and confidence level. My daughter was essentially reading words to read words and not to understand what she was reading. Sylvan helped her bridge the words she read to comprehension. The teachers are amazing and even though we chose to do our sessions online, the teacher was able to create an environment of trust and openness for my daughter to succeed. Ana communicates with us and let us know where we are in learning and sessions and where my daughter might need more growth. There were times during the school year that the only way my daughter would get taught the topics in class was with her Sylvan teacher. Sylvan has been a tremendous help to link the learning gap between the classroom and home.

I chose Sylvan for my daughers SAT prep. She wanted to start prepping over the summer before her senioir year started. Sylvan had flexible hours over the summer that fit around her work schedule. When she started with Sylvan, she was not confident in her test taking and was really worried about the upcoming tests. Sylvan not only educated her on the information in the SAT, but taught her about test taking and HOW to take the test. This helped her immensely. She raised her score +200 points as of the last test she took! Thank you to everyone at Sylvan!!!

Virtual learning has been difficult but Sylvan has helped so much! Its a time to be focused and complete assignments that in past semesters would remain missing because he was overwhelmed or just didnt get the concept. The instructors are wonderful & at the end of the homework help session, my son feels a sense of accomplishment and feels like he has learned more about each subject. It was his idea to continue going. He has even shared with his friends how much it has helped him.

I called many tutoring services, before I chose Sylvan, It was a fast and easy choice. The owner Ana is very kind and dedicated to her company. She listened to all of my concerns, what I expected, and how we could help my child advance in reading. She is extremely accommodating when I need to change my child’s schedule, even on short notice.The teachers are amazing, my daughter is with a very experienced teacher, Maria, whom my daughter loves. She is definitely showing improvements in a short time! I highly recommend this center if your child is struggling, or in my case, you simply want your child to be ahead in their studies. My daughter is only 5, so they work with children of ALL ages!This has easily been the best decision I made, when I enrolled my daughter here. My son has attended the Oviedo location since March and his progress has been amazing. His online teacher has been God sent along with the site director Mrs. Ana. They go above and beyond to help out the family and the kids. Our family wants to thank you for all you do and for making reading enjoyable for our son. Your child failed; immediate intervention necessary; or remedial assistance required are chief among the statements a parent would rather not receive. These are some the statements that were provided to me about my child after a statewide mandated assessment in school. The denial, the panic and angst to find a solution and make some sense of the assessment was real, palpable and thankfully short-lived. Short-lived because I found Sylvan Learning Center in Oviedo, FL.Sylvan had a proven history of success with some of my family members and friends so it was easier for me to trust their process regarding my child’s educational growth and development. It is the teamwork concept that made Sylvan Learning Center in Oviedo the right fit for us. The director, Ana McCoskey, has a team of educators that work to bring their students from assessment to achievement. Laurel Terry and Ashley Vincent are two of the instructors that work with my child and I’ve witnessed firsthand their commitment to education and understanding.We’re presently about halfway through the recommended program and number sessions for my child and the level of feedback and adjustments made thus far is beyond count. I genuinely feel that my child’s success matters to the entire team. In one instance I received some feedback at the end of a session about the day’s performance to which I specifically asked about the plan to fix, correct or to teach the concept at hand. Without hesitation Ashley provided me examples of how to help my child and her plan to adjust the lesson accordingly for the next session. It’s that type of feedback and responsiveness that makes it easier for a parent to process any report.Again, we’re half-way through the program and I’m optimistic. While statements like, “Your child failed and immediate intervention necessary”, drove me to Sylvan Learning Center in Oviedo, those statements are now being replaced with reports like, “Your child works hard; noticeable improvement and working on grade level.” Concern got us here, continued progress is what’s keeping us here.
