I use Big Bobs for all of my personal needs and highly recommend them to all of my clients. Mike does a great job of giving accurate estimates in a timely manor. Prices are very reasonable. Craftsmanship and service are top notch. They are easy to work with and have lots of flooring options.
Every employee I have dealt with at Bob’s has been phenomenal! I had scheduled carpet install with a small outfit, they kept changing the price on us. Finally I washed my hands of them the day prior to install. I called Big Bob’s in Liberty and told Joe my situation he held a install date for me only 3 days from the day I called. I went in that night to make my selections. Paul the manager helped us along the way and did not rush us even though it was closing time. We got the carpet we wanted at a really great price! The installers were early and very professional installed 1300 sqf and a set of stairs in 6 hours. Very clean and tidy left my house cleaner then they found it lol. I will absolutely use big bobs again! Joe, Paul, Scheduling Team, and the Installers I want to give the biggest thanks too.

The staff is friendly, personal, and professional. We ordered, purchased, and had carpet installed all in the time frame of nine days to completion. Install crew was friendly and efficient too. All around great deal, and even with paying for installation we received a higher quality pad and carpet than the big box store.

She then worked up the estimate and had it to me the next business day. I highly recommend them!
The carpet is great and sales people are really good. DO NOT USE THEM TO INSTALL though. On two occasions they completely trashed my walls and trim and when they tried to fix it they used wrong color paint, had they asked there was a gallon of it within 20 feet of them. So now I have to wait for them to file a claim and deal with that. Find someone that knows what they are doing to handle then installation

We had Big Bobs replace the carpet and kitchen floor in our house. They dont have same variety as a larger store, but the level of service you receive makes up for that. The folks that sell the flooring are in constant communication with the folks that install the flooring, and that results in a good experience. They stand by what they sell and make sure things are done how youd prefer.

We had our stairs and bedrooms carpeted by Big Bobs. Everything went great and the carpet is beautiful. The price was also very fair.
Buyer beware!! I spent over $5 thousand on carpet. The installers from Big Bobs left over 20 chips and large gouges in my baseboards. When I called to complain, I was told I am no painter, but I can come and try to touch it up if you provide the paint. I find that unacceptable and extraordinarily poor service. I would never do business at Big Bobs again, and recommend you think twice before making the decision. Id be glad to provide photos for anyone who wants to see their work for themselves.
Its been a couple weeks since my wife and Is purchase but Id just like to say how pleased I was to do business with Big Bobs! We worked with a gentleman named Joe and it was quite refreshing. He was helpful, kind and personable. He was so kind as to send a thank you note later the next week and congratulated us on our soon to be born baby! I would absolutely recommend Big Bobs and am looking forward to doing business with them again! Prices and quality are great!
We just redid our entire upstairs level. Weve worked with these folks before and came back without even considering other options. They had the material in days and did over 1000 sq ft, plus 2 flights of stairs, in 2 days time. The installers were fantastic and went the extra mile to make sure our home offices were usable after day 1; they stayed working until 7 p.m. to make that happen. We couldnt be happier with the results, the service, or the people.
I rarely post reviews but was so blown away by the service I received recently that I felt compelled to write a review in this case. Recently, my husband and I purchased carpet for our basement, master bedroom, hallway, and stairs. Janelle was incredibly helpful, professional, and friendly throughout the whole process. The installation crew are also to be given huge kudos. They arrived on time, were very friendly and easy to talk to. The thing that completely blew me away was the excellent job they did on installation. Against my husbands advice, I painted the baseboards before we had our carpet installed. There was 1 minor scuff that was easily wiped off when they were done. I have never had a carpet installation crew that didnt scuff the baseboards and walls when they were installing the carpet. I would recommend this store and these individuals to anyone that is buying new carpet.

My experience with Big Bobs Flooring can be summarized as:- Unreliability. Not once but twice the sales person failed to order the materials.- Lack of communication/response. The sales person had a 50% response rate to emails and phone calls.- Reschedules. The installation had to be rescheduled multiple times due to the sales person failing to order materials.- Tardiness. The manager told me the installation team would start early, then the installation coordinator said they would arrive by 10. They arrived at 10:50am. By arriving at 10:50 and leaving for 1.5 hours, they left my house at 10:20pm - as opposed to 6 if they had been on time and prepared.- Unprepared. I was assured the job could easily be done in a day, which 11.5 hours later it was. The installation team also showed up without all of the materials and were gone for 1.5 of those 11.5 hours in order to get those materials.- Inconvenience. Because of the sales person failing to do their job, my mom was not able to live in the space for two whole weeks. This alone was an unaceptable inconvenience. Because the installers were at my house until 10:20pm on a Friday night you can imagine the inconvenience. In addition to the fact that was someone was available and waiting for them to arrive for hours due to their tardiness.All in all, this was a horrible experience and I would suggest looking elsewhere for flooring.
We had a small space to carpet (8x10) we walked in and Julie greeted us. She asked us what we needed, and despite it being a small project for a rental, she immediately directed us to the remnants (which is what I wanted), she didn’t try to oversell us. And for that, I am so thankful.We picked a carpet, set up installation for four days later. Less than 45 minutes to complete the process.A very nice gentleman called to confirm the appointment; the installation team was on time and did a great job.This is my second time using Big Bob’s, and I am very satisfied!! My house was newly remodled when the carpet installers came to install my carpet. They damaged walls, baseboards and one of my doors. I was told that the damages that occurred where typical and have nice day basically. Very disappointing. I will never use big bobs again.
It was a Great experience. The prices for just carpet are clearly marked and the salesman Paul was clear, concise and very, very honest (I know carpet from selling years ago ). We got to take home samples of the stock they had ( super helpful to visualize the best look) and we plan to go back and buy. Looking forward to a nice new living room!
BEWARE OF BIG BOBS. My experience was an absolute nightmare and their customer service is a joke. Once they get their money from you they completely wash their hands of you.On the day of my installation the installers showed up and proceeded to tear out my floor. At no point prior to tearing everything out did anyone verify with me the product was correct. When they began to install the new flooring I noticed it was the wrong product - instructed them to stop and called the Store immediately. The sales rep. I spoke w/ via phone verified that the product they were installing did NOT match the in-store sample I had viewed. After speaking with her supervisor she said they could re-order the flooring (1-2 week wait), or proceed w/ installing the flooring they brought and offer a discount. Not that this left me much of a choice in the first place considering theyd already ripped up my existing flooring - I decided to proceed with installing the floor they had on hand in exchange for a discount.Following the installation I reached out after noticing I had been charged the full amount and I asked what discount they were assessing to the account. After a delayed response I was told theyd essentially changed their minds and couldnt offer a discount. They alluded that it was a probably a mistake on the part of the manufacture and that I could file a claim with them - but they personally were not refunding anything.Since then Big Bobs has ignored all of my correspondence.OVERALL:Although Id HIGHLY recommend using a different flooring company in the KC area due to my poor experience and Big Bobs terrible customer service...If you choose to use Big Bobs: 1) get EVERYTHING in writing so they dont have the chance to change their minds; 2) ask to see your product BEFORE they start tearing out existing flooring. They wont offer to show it to you so youll need to ask. 3) make sure any issues are resolved BEFORE your installers leave and certainly BEFORE making any payment because once they get your $$ theyre absolutely done with you.
Ernesto found us a perfect LVP product to meet our needs! We shopped at 5 physical local stores as well as many online spots and we found exactly what we needed at a very reasonable price. Ernestos upmost professionalism was obvious. He has the patient heart of a teacher and not a pushy salesman, we plan to work with him in future flooring projects.
Joe was great. He helped us get a remnant to re-carpet a cat tree. Not your average sale. Joe was genuinely interested. We felt valued as customers.

Today was the first day weve ever been to Bobs. We were just looking to see what they had. If the service we got today is anything like the rest of the process, Im so excited to work with this company. The lady who was helping us, her name was Janelle I believe, was so kind. You could tell she cared about us and what we wanted and was very knowledgeable about the product. I look forward to getting our estimate and our new carpet!

I had tile installed in the entry, kitchen, and bathroom. Big Bob hired Creative Flooring to do the installation, and it looks beautiful! I wish I could post pictures. Maurice has a great attitude and is a smart guy. He even took the time to teach my mother how to properly caulk, and he helped me with the extension ladder. Carlos also did beautiful tile work.Were still waiting on the carpet to be installed on my stairs, but Im sure they will be on top of that soon.Thanks, Big Bob!

I hired Justin and his crew from Big Bobs outlet to put in new laminate floors and carpet. He was very informative and helpful from beginning to end of the project. We had a wonderful experience working with big bobs. Our salesman was Joe at the Overlin Park location. We were able to purchase carpeting for our entire house, arrange for installation very efficiently, and the installers were very professional. They were excellent at cleaning up after themselves, showing up when they were supposed to, and doing the work correctly the first time. When we originally went into the show room we had a few ideas about colors but really had no information about Pad types or carpet density. Joe was able to give us detailed information and still keep our prices very reasonable. We intend on returning to big Bobs in the near future to complete carpeting of our childrens rooms. Also we recently had to re-tile our entire bathroom and we had purchase and installation performed by big Bobs and were equally pleased with our treatment and beautiful results. Would recommend this company again and again
I have bought furniture from you and carpet but the last time I went to your carpet store in Independence Missouri we waited 30 minutes for them to open and then they acted like they didnt want us there so we went and bought carpet at Lowes
It was nice and clean in there but I believe they gave me the wrong carpet that I ordered but it said no refunds and no exchanges so Im stuck with a big old piece of carpet that dont match nothing

Be careful as you get what you pay for. We bought carpet there about 5 years ago. Spent about $700 on 300 sq. ft. of higher grade carpet. The carpet really stood up well with our 2 boys, thats not what disappointed us. The problem is about 2 years ago we noticed a small spot where the carpet was going bald. It was not in a high traffic area and most of the time was covered by our ottoman. We called and talked to a manager. We emailed a picture and asked for help. I didnt think 3 year old carpet should have that kind of problem! It also looked as if the spot was right where the installer had seamed the carpet. His response was we could patch it if we had left over carpet (which we didnt- there was none left after install) or he could send out an installer with a glue gun. :-/ I said no thanks, I could manage hot glue on my own. Fast forward to present day, and we are installing new carpet because the small spot grew into a much bigger problem. The spot grew bigger. We took up the carpet tonight and low and behold, the spot was located right on a seam. So the product they sell is likely decent quality. However, their installation- hit or miss? As for their customer satisfaction after installation....not impressed. I didnt feel like they cared at all, never once did anyone offer to come out and examine the issue. The got an email with a photo we took and made a decision from that. Wish they would have taken time to help a past customer as it like would have made me a repeat customer.

I purchased hardwood flooring nearly 10 weeks ago. The wood was installed two weeks later but quarter round was never ordered by my sales consultant. When it arrived two weeks later, there wasn’t enough of it to finish installation. When the remainder of it arrived two weeks later again, it was the wrong color. No one ever called to tell me what was going on, and when I would call to see what was going on, I got the “it just arrived today” story. Horrible experience.

Terrible service, literally took months to deliver the mattress I purchased. 2 months after purchase they delivered a stained mattress, and then refused to take it away until the new one had been delivered 2 months later. When I asked for a refund they said they would charge me a 20% restocking fee... For the mattress they hadnt delivered yet... They also recommended and sold me the wrong mattress cover only to charge me a restocking fee to return it. Complaints about service were met with hostility. I will not be back, and I will warn all friends and family away from this company.

Ordered a king headboard on 4/1/14 from Independence store and they were very helpful in this process. Was told 4 to 6 weeks to be delivered at the store. Called on 4/28 was told all on time and all was good. I called on 5/8, a few days shy of 6 weeks and was told it would be end of May or middle of June before I would receive the headboard. I asked what happened and was told I would have to speak with manager. He informed me that the manufacture put it on backorder at last moment and it could take some time to receive it. I was told once they place the order with the manufacturer it is out of their hands. They have no control over the time line. So I asked if it takes 10 months per the manufacturer, they said then it takes 10 months. That was on a Saturday and I was called by the same store two days later on Monday and was told all was good. I asked what happened to change everything from two days before and was of course told those magical words I dont know. I canceled my order and was told it would take 7-10 days for my check and as of today I was told it was sitting on his desk and he was thinking of how to handle the next step. I suggested he just drop it in the mail. I was told I should not do business with them by the same person who told me about them. He said he just felt like it was a shady business but that it was my choice. I should have listened to him. NEVER WILL I AGAIN DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. EVER!!! By the way i have shortened this story, i left alot of details out. PROCEED WITH CAUTION PEOPLE AND ABSOLUTELY ASK GUESTIONS. Or just stay away from them, save yourself a headache.
