Sonia is such a warm, special and welcoming person - I am truly privileged to have met her. Her life experiences that she shared with me are so special and I hope she doesn’t stop telling people what she went through! Ali worked on my evening gown that I thought was going to be next to impossible to alter - it was impeccable and she’s a magician! I feel so lucky and grateful. They are like family! Fantastic experience getting a suit tailored. The employees were great and my suit fits great. They also provided quick turn around for a very reasonable up charge. They have made a customer for life and I will no longer search when I need alterations.

I see the poor review lately, and I would have surely inquired because knowing Sonia, she would have surely offered a reason. Had to be some miscommunication because my experiences have been just amazing. Kind, thoughtful, has offered different options on many different alterations Ive needed. Timely, the prices were very, very reasonable (from what Ive experienced from other KC shops). There is no reason to shop elsewhere. I highly recommend. (note: not family, nor family-friend, nor asked to review in any way)

Got my wedding suit altered at Johns. Very friendly, done in about a week (wasn’t a rush job, they said they could have gotten it done earlier)They only take cash, just a heads up. I don’t consider this a negative, it’s a mom and pop operation doing things with intentionality and quality, I’ll gladly swing by an atm if it makes things easier for them.

This place as for what seems ever does a great job at a reasonable price.

Took a dress to have the straps shortened was told it would be around $15 but she would need to check with her co-worker and they would call me with a price. A week went by with no phone call and when I called back I was told it would be $45 with no explanation on why the amount was 3 times the previous amount and when I asked why I didnt receive a phone call she asked me what did I expect. When I went to pick up the dress there was no clasp on the back like they said there would be. I have no idea what the $45 went towards and at that point I was fed up and just wanted to leave. I will never go back there.

Quality work at a reasonable price. Dont go anywhere else. I needed a pair of tuxedo pants rehemmed in 24 hours. Sonia delivered as promised with a smile.
