Came out the day I called and said they would be back first thing the following morning. Got under the house and fixed it in under an hour. Very nice guy. Josh did a great job.

After spending nearly $10k on some major plumbing repairs with Watkins including one small job to install a new kitchen faucet. After just over a year the faucet has come loose from the sink. The owner of the company accuses us of somehow abusing the faucet. The faucet has a lifetime warranty but apparently correctly installing a kitchen faucet is beyond the skill set of Watkins. They want a minimum of $189 to come out and fix their shoddy work. Maybe they should consider keeping their customers happy. My sister needs to replace all the iron pipes in her home, my mother is building a new home and another of my neighbors just asked about a good plumber, since he is new to the area and needs major re-model plumbing work done. Before this we would have used/recommended Watkins for all of these jobs but sure is good to find out they dont stand behind their work. I will now make sure to tell everyone I know to avoid Watkins Plumbing.

Theyve been very good at coming immediately when my water heater was leaking twice From a faulty valve. They ended up replacing it. another company came & wouldnt even stop the leak! Ill always use Watkins!

Ive had them out two times once for my water heater and once for a leak in my toilet and both times they were exceptionally good I would definitely say that I would recommend them most highly!

Had a great experience with them on a big job several months ago. I have now called for a quote on a new job which took three calls to get them to come out. They came and looked at the job and have not called me back with the quote.

My grandmother contacted these people to come out to fix a leak that she had with her water heater. The guy comes out and gives us the hard sell for a new water heater, $489 for some water pressure BS, $189 for some release valve, on top of the $159 it costs for them to come out just to tell you this! From the time she called til when they showed was almost instant, basically had nothing to do, this wasnt an emergency call.I tore out a piece of the dry wall to get to the leak and saw that it needed to dry out. I spoke with the plumber and told him that we would use him to fix it but we need to figure out more about this leak.Fast forward a few days and we realize that the leak is coming more from the AC unit, that is right next to the water heater, open it all up and notice that the water isnt falling into the pan. We adjust the pan, and no more leak.I live in a community with a lot of seniors and feel that this company is a predator with all these sales upgrades. Completely misdiagnosing the problem and selling us stuff we dont need? How can you feel good about yourself trying to swindle someone that has no clue about new technology. There are a few companies that has done this to my grandmother in the past and we will never use them again. Adding this company to that list as well.Enjoy the $159.

Thank you. Too soon to rate quality, but am assuming it is good. Value I think may be competitive, which is good. Always hard to shell out $ so Ill never call it better than good.A few months later... quality is excellent, no problems at all.

The worst customer service experience we have ever had. We had them come out and look at leaky kitchen sink pipes. They pipes were metal and 40 years old. The plumber said he could replace them. It was expensive and we were hesitant. We agreed and they did their work and were paid in full. The plumber installed the cheapest plastic pipes. They leaked bad within 2 months. We called them to come out. They refused. We asked them to stand by their warranty. They refused. They were very rude. The cupboard the under the sink has to be replaced from the water damage. The condition is much worse now than with the original 40 years old pipes. We now have to pay someone to replace the cabinet under the sink and to replace the cheap leaky plastic pipes they installed.

Came out for my emergency work order call very quickly and got it done same day and replaced my tank! Thanks guys for the great service!

We called them with a system back up issue, they came out same day and helped me determine what the issue is and how to fix it. Definitely recommend!

Needed a plumber in Chico to help me out with leak issues at my rental property and this company was very helpful and fixed the problem! Thankfully a potentially stressful experience turned out (mostly) stress free. I actually thought their pricing was fair compared to my experience with other companies.

Four hours from initial call until I had a new fully functioning hot water heater at a reasonable price. Josh was great. Knew what he was doing and explained everything.And yes I did shop around and get other estimates first.The company is based in Oroville but covers most of the region 24/7. We are in South Yuba City.

I should have looked at the ratings before calling this company. Never again will I use them. The price for the work was ridiculously high. I told the guy Ill call another plumber and he wanted to argue. I had to tell him 8-10 times to leave my house as he was arguing with me. The owner was just as bad on the phone. Their motto must be, money and greed over quality and service.

Priced too high. Pilot light went out on my heater and i couldnt get it relit.I called and the technician came out, and he spent the first 10 minutes trying to sell me in getting a new water heater before he even tried to diagnose or fix my current unit. They charged $159 for a cleaning of the filter, which was just vacuuming around the bottom of the tank. I needed a new igniter, which they charged another $99 for the part that costs $15 online. When I asked about why the part was so expensive, the technician couldnt answer but kept asking me where I saw that $15 dollar price. I called the owner Rich, and he dodged the question with think of how much money we saved you compared to you needing a new water heater. Lame. Learn from my mistake and go with a more honest company for your water heater troubles.

Pretty typical experience with greedy plumber: Quoted $89 to clear a toilet stoppage but wound up charging $270 just because they had to snake it from the roof. Three times the quoted price for an extra 20 minutes of time? Same problem a year ago with a different company cost $90 and they also snaked from the roof. Shame on me for not remembering their name. Anyway, Watkins did show up and they did clear the stoppage - but the price was way too high and I felt I was suckered in with the lowball initial quote that was unreasonably tripled once the job was done.

Never again. New Takagi authorized rep. Knows nothing about the product then tried to get me to pay for his On The Job training. Suggested I replace everything, the entire water heater (ncluding the venting) for $2500 since he and the Takagi factory technician could not figure out what was wrong with this 5 year old unit. Watkins actually asked me to pay for the hour that he was either on hold or getting jerked around on the phone with the factory. Also said he would not replace the water heater with what I wanted, only with an $1100 unit he decided was what was needed.Unbelievable what some plumbers are willing to try to rip you off!!
