I have taken Spanish lessons with Cindi for a year now and it has been the best decision I ever made! I have always wanted to speak conversational Spanish and knew I would need a tutor to get there. After meeting with Cindi I knew she would be able to help me. She has spoken Spanish for over twenty years but the fact that English is her first language is a huge plus because she can identify with what her students will struggle with. The most convenient part for myself is being able to take lessons through zoom. There is absolutely no substitute for conversing with some in Spanish. Cindi makes it a point to have you speak with her and understand all of the grammar involved in becoming conversational. If you are looking to have a tutor who can very competently help you navigate through learning a new language, I can’t recommend Cindi enough!

I have been learning Spanish with Cindi for a year now, with classes from once every two weeks up to 2 times a week. Throughout the entire time, she has been extremely professional, kind, and timely. She is also flexible in her teaching style, letting me talk to her about my day-to-day with her in Spanish while coupling that with a grammar lesson. After the year, and largely with the help of her guidance, I now feel comfortable talking to my patients in Spanish, obtaining full histories from them. Learning a language is not easy, but she has made the hardest parts much more manageable.

Cindi is hands down the best teacher I have ever met because she entirely transformed my English pronunciation. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional, passionate, and very supportive in every step of my mastering the English pronunciation. She brings out the best in her students. I have been seeing Cindi for about 3 months now and I have made so much progress with my Spanish! As a long-time student of Spanish, I have never been so confident in my abilities to carry on very practical conversations as I am now, from working one-on-one with a wonderful tutor! I work in a completely bilingual office, and interact with many mainly Spanish-only speaking clients, and my time with Cindi has helped me communicate with my clients, and practice with confidence in my office. I have been working with Cindi for over a year now and shes phenomenal. Several of my coworkers are currently taking lessons with her as well. Ive used apps such as Duolingo and Rosetta Stone yet neither of those apps helped me to become conversational. She makes the learning process fun, using creative ways to help us remember certain words and phrases. She genuinely cares for her students and their success.

Cindy is an amazing person and a great tutor. I went to her for English accent training class. Her techniques really work. Initially, I couldn’t understand all the warm ups and sounds, but it all really helps. You’ll see that. The place is always clean. I feel the class is worth every penny. I did the class for couple of months and my accent was enormously improved. I couldn’t continue as I had to move out of the country.I’ll highly recommend the class!

I’ve been attending Cindi’s class for over two months now and have seen a significant improvement in the way I hear and speak Spanish. When I started I knew several Spanish words but didn’t know what to do with then. Cindi has helped me put those words together to be conversational along with learning new words as I go. Cindi is a great teacher and I apologize for how long this took for me to write. Currently I am in Bogota for work and thanks to Cindi I am more than functional in Spanish. Now I am not debating Cervantes or Castaneda with the locals, but they can easily understand me and we get along quite well!Cindi has developed a unique and effective system she calls “plug and play” and it really is. This starts you out with basic conversation structures that end up being the root of more advanced stuff. I’m not saying it’s easy but it is highly practical. If you can get through how to say something for a handful of pronouns and verbs you can communicate. From there the dominoes fall nicely into past, present and future. She doesn’t waste time on the parts you don’t need and you won’t be doing endless conjugations. You will be talking right away.Next, though highly recommended, at first I was wary that Cindi was a Gringa. However, after her many years in Mexico she can fool anybody. I later realized her being a native English speaker was an asset. She knows the pitfalls that we have because she has been through them. Also she is very in tune with small differences that don’t sound like a big deal to us. A native might say “just say ___” but Cindi, having had the same stumble will say “You think you’re saying ___ but you need to say ____ by making a ____ sound.” Or “make it sound like you’re saying ___” (a sound in English we can relate to.)After studying with Cindi for about one year (and putting in work on my own) I can say I am comfortable in everyday conversations. I have a ways to go, but I am far ahead of friends with high school/college Spanish and certainly those that think a phone app is going to magically make them fluent. Thanks Cindi!
