What do you call it when a cab driver takes you on a circuitous route to pad the fare? That is what Driver #1100 (medallion #0654) did to me (on trip #0136 around 8pm 09 Feb 2020). I took what was supposed to be a ~18 minute ride from the airport to my hotel. About 25 minutes in, I looked at the GPS on my phone and found us miles past my hotel (in the opposite direction from the airport). Bottom line: $71 and 36 minutes. Needless to say, I took an Uber back to the airport at the end of my stay: $21 and 18 minutes. Save yourself $50 and half-the-time.

I had a very pleasant experience with Ace Metro. The driver was on time and was very friendly. We needed a ride from the Orlando airport to my house. The cab was a recent model hybrid Toyota. My girlfriends and I all agreed to call the same cab company next time we will need it. Great service! I definitely recommend it to everyone!

Ace Metro cannot be trusted.WARNING PLEASE. They do not screen their drivers very well. Mine could not talk English and took his good old time. Price was $40 more than the airport said. My driver was a liar. Please I do not recommend this company. Complaints mean nothing. I do not want to give them a one star. My vacation was ruined and I cannot go into the details. I would not use their cabs.

My wife spent 8 hours on a trip and made the mistake of choosing this taxi company to take her to a restaurant near the airport. After she got into taxi #411 (6/22/19) and told the driver her destination, the driver physically got out of the car and complained to the taxi stand overlord about driving my wife less than a mile from the airport and tried to direct her to a free shuttle that didn’t exist. When asked if the driver took credit cards, he audibly sighed at her and refused to acknowledge anything she said. I would leave 0 stars if it were physically possible.

They called me 40 minutes before my scheduled ride to say they didn’t have a driver to get me to the airport. I scheduled the day before and yes, it was for early morning. But, if they couldn’t honor it, they should have told me. Called Uber and he came quickly for a lot less and I made my flight. Will never use Ace.

This taxi service quoted us ~$40 to get from the airport to Universal but we ended up with a $54 final bill. The driver added extra charges half way through the trip with no traffic and at an off peak time. The trunk was also moist and soaked through the bottom of my wife’s luggage. Try and avoid if you spot a Metro Cab at the airport.

Hired Ace Metro to get friends from Orlando airport to Cape Canaveral for a meeting, everything went smooth (and very competitive on price!). Big thanks to the gentlemen whom is stationed at the airport (honestly forgot his name) but he kept me in constant contact for three separate pickups. Will definitely use them again when friends and colleagues from out of town visit. Keep up the good job! -Rondo

Wow! What a great company! They took me to my brothers house from the airport and I left my purse in the car. I called them as soon as I noticed I forgot it and the driver was back in less than 5 mins with my purse with everything in it. Nice to find honest people!

I took ace cab for 3 years... Probably spent 300 a month on them. They made me late numerous times... They lack customer service. Pretty much suck in general

Upon arriving we had a problem with Ace Metro with the driver going out of the way, not understanding or not wanting to understand where we wanted to go. When all was said and done we paid way more than we should have. I called the cab company and talked to the supervisor, Zack, who offered and refund for the amount we were overcharged. We decided to have it applied to our return trip to the airport which was good. I appreciate that they went out of their way to make it right. I would recommend them and would use them again. With any cab company you use, especially in a town youre unfamiliar with always use your phone GPS to make sure the driver is taking you where youre supposed to go, dont just assume.

Edit: I initially rated this company one star. Im changing to 3 because they did refund me what I paid for the return trip, and I want to encourage them to keep refunding customers. However, I will still not use them again.I scheduled a return trip to the airport this morning with the same driver I rode with when I arrived, cab 411. He told me he would be at my dads house at 4 am to pick me up. I called to confirm the day before and he promised to be there. 4 am, no cab. I called him and he said he was on the way and had overslept. Said hed be there in 25 min. I called back in 30 min-- said he was almost there. At 4:45 I was in the process of booking a Lyft ride when he pulled up-- in his personal car. By that time I was cutting it so close that I didnt feel I had any good choices. It was too late to get another cab. If I hadnt been so sleepy I would have given up on him earlier.He drove 90 mph on the highway. I had no way to know the condition of his car, and no dispatcher was tracking us, which was one reason I had thought a cab was safer for a woman traveling alone. Although he wasnt using a meter and Im sure didnt give any of my cash payment to the cab company, he charged the same fare as on my initial ride, more than double Lyft. And I barely made it to my plane on time.I didnt mind paying for the personal security of a cab-- but I didnt get what I paid for. Next time Ill just use Lyft. This cab company should be more careful and hire reliable drivers who dont try to scam them and their customers.

Cab 407, rating is really ZEROThis driver changed routes on us, what was supposed to be a 30 minute trip was changed to 1 and 1/2 hours possibly costing us close to $180.00. My husband had a hunch to turn in his personal phone gps. Once we confronted him, he dropped us off in the middle of no where 10 pm Orlando Florida. Thank god for Uber’s n the lovely lady at the gas station who helped us. What a scary experience, he should be stripped of his ability to be a cab driver, robbery is not ok, not in America.

Horrible experience... rude taxi guy was so Sacastic tried to double charge we had a group of nine people, ninth person a child took a longer way to up charge and then tried to drop us off when we brought up to attention tried to double charge my card paid cash horrible rude attitude drove between lines on highway just horrible taxi T19-0136 taxi number do not use warning!!!

Edit: after my original review the owner reached out to me immediately and gave me a complimentary ride to the airport and sincere apologies.Took a cab from the airport and the ride was fine. When it came time to pay, the driver said his card machine was broken. (Would have been nice to know before I got in) He tried running it through one attached to his phone, seemed to be a personal phone since he was checking fb and texting. (sketchy, is this standard?) and said it wouldnt work. He kept asking for more cards, even ones I dont usually use and eventually had me try all the cards in my wallet and said none of them worked. He followed me into my hotel and made me ask if they had an ATM. They didnt. He made me go with him to a 7 eleven with the meter still running to get out cash from an ATM. On the way back, the machines magically came back up. So now I have no paper trail to give to Accounting besides what I scribbled down, Im weirded out by the whole situation and will be freezing all my cards after this. I know you need to get paid but his is not standard.

The guy told me he needed a tip and told me the amount... Thw total cost was 54.00 from airport to S john young pkwy....Lyft going back was 17.00 paid 22.00 because I tipped the on time professional driver.... dont use these thieves

Bad service. Called to schedule a pick up the night before I needed one. The dispatcher said I couldnt schedule a pick up for 4:45 a.m. because it was too early. He said that they would have cars in the area (2 miles from the airport) and to call 30 minutes before I needed a ride. I called at 4:10 a.m. and was told they had no cabs in the area for at least an hour. The guy who answered the phone in the morning seemed annoyed that I called. He made no effort to resolve the problem.

Theyre drivers are rude and they are alloud to rip ppl off without getting in trouble bc they are independent contractors. How are they supose to be held accountable for there actions then. I wouldnt suggest calling this company.

Highly impersonal-- sarcasm when you ask a question about the route and no communication entire ride. Vehicle feels like it will fall apart beneath your feet. buck up its the law sign in the back seat; while the driver does not have his seatbelt on. Irony... Florida doesnt have a law requiring back passengers to buckle up. Only choice from the airport --- Never thought Id appreciate Uber. Uber has their shady drivers but isnt as bad as this cab company overall-- rates are high way robbery too.

Since Uber doesn’t pick up from Orlando International Airport and I didn’t feel like taking a bus or shuttle to the nearest hotel to take an Uber…I would’ve but my employer was footing the bill so I opted for a cab.I haven’t flown in forever but was given a ticket to catch a cab. Got in and eh…guy asked where I lived, I told him and he didn’t even use a GPS. Instead when we can to a stop he said it’d be 70.00+!!!!!!! And I told him I was quoted 55.00 and he adjusted it accordingly but still. That and he didn’t know where he was going and probably hopes to see if people won’t realize that he’s trying to screw them out of money!Pissed me off and I tipped him to save face and other than that, I will make it a point not to use that taxi company from here on out. Got this cab from the airport. Asked to be dropped off near a restraunt near a hotel we were staying at and the cab driver was very rude. We stayed near the airport, and the fare was 10.00. Thats a lot for being down the street not only that but the driver was rude making comments about how we didnt have cash. Wouldnt use again and dont recommend.

Scam alert- My driver did not use a GPS, missing his way purposely and tacking on an extra 30 minutes. His cab was filthy with ants crawling on seats and trash everywhere.

Paid the driver with a credit card. His machine was out of paper, and didnt print a receipt so he insisted I hadnt paid him. I showed him on my credit card app I had. He called the police who came as we were checking into our hotel who told him I had paid him, and asked him to leave. Never again.

Asked to of your cab driver to take me to a place that is less then a mile from the hotelI was staying at. Perhaps they didnt want to take me to a hotel that was hosting gay days he in Orlando. I guess this is why people choose uber. ~possible homophobic drivers
