DEHUMANIZING, MISLEADING AND HUMILIATING. WILL NEVER EVER DONATE TO THEM BECAUSE THEY DONT HELP THE HELPLESS IN THEIR DARKEST HOUR. THEY SELL YOUR INFO TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS THAT USE IT TO LINE POCKETS OF LENDERS / FINANCIERS WHO USE COVID FUNDS TO GET RICHER! OVERSIGHT IS DEFINITELY NEEDED FOR THIS ORGANIZATION TO TRULY SERVE THE HIGHEST PURPOSE THAT IT CLAIMS TO ASPIRE TO. JUST DISAPPOINTING. RUDE JUDGEMENTAL PHONE REPRESENTATIVE COULD USE BETTER COMMUNICATION / CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING AND SENSITIVITY SKILLS AND COMPASSION BEFORE DEALING W/ PEOPLE IN CRISIS.
They sound like they’re good 😌
At first I thought this place was sketchy as the lady with whom my associate and I spoke with was a bit rude but they assisted 3 of my residents with rent during these trying times. We thank you for helping those in need. We did recommend your place to others and hope they seek the assistance that is need and meet your requirements. Only recommendation that we have is to be kind to those seeking help and to those that you are requesting information from. Everyone has been highly stressed during COVID. Please watch your tone and have manners when speaking with property management offices as they too have to assist residents during these times.
My double amputee friend has called twice and never received a call back. He has no legs, no car, cant get out, is hungry and needs immediate assistance. No one should donate to this organization. They obviously just pocket their donations and dont help anyone.
This Organization and my others in Florida, does not really cared about helping people, I applied for rental assistance at the beginning of the pandemic, in march and 9 months later a lady named after JD. called me, it was the most experience Ive ever had, I dont understand how organization like this said that they want to help, when what they really do is to play and discriminate against people, if someone apply for help it is because that person need,, it is not to be humiliated..
I have donated biweekly to the united way program for 16 years and I call 211 for assistance they gave me a few leads to assistance. Once I got there i was treated unjust cut off during the conversation Rose Mary passed judgment against me and she asked me to explain my hardship. I never have needed help before in my life until now and was basically told my situation didnt match the qualifications of a person in need. I left a domestic violent situation and trying to make one month of my rent then told we cant help. I am working full time and waited to hear back from a second job but treated like I aint trying to help myself, people all ways say oh there are programs that can help but no there arent.
Y roommate just moved out because of covid and went somewhere else cheaper till this is over. So they say Im not affected so they wont help. I also sometimes work for cash and others is no pay stubs. And now I cant find work and on ssd and they wont help me at all
This place is such an amazing place with such wonderful people. The caseworker that I had was so amazing, she helped me with everything that I needed out the kindness of her heart, I mean it wasnt just a job to her because, she would go above and beyond to help me with whatever I needed, its like she had all of the resources that I needed at her finger tips. I just want to say thank you, for helping me and my children into our new home. We are so happy and blessed not to be house to house anymore nor living in the shelter or on the street. We are now living in a safe and stable environment that we can call home and all I can say is thank you, and God bless you kathryn.kieper
Great things happen here! The team is very supportive and hardworking to local charities and organizations. Thank you for all you!
The info they give has been wrong 9.9 out of 10 times, they never accept, or admit mistakes, or bad errors in judgement. Do yourself a favor and avoid thinking this is a caring, helpful, or even useful service. I wish more people shared their stories of surprising disappointment.
People dont waste your time with this. Personal I call them and I dont received any help. Some of the employes have bad actitud.
Everytime I reached out to these people they never could find any resources to help me with my crisis. Its horrible that a person reaches for help and gets slapped in the face and is left going in circles.
Cynthia the receptionist is a beautiful kind hearted person who goes beyond her job description to assist you. Very much caring team of people.
Great people.
Do NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE ANY LONGER!! WE SUPPORT THEM EVERY MONTH ON OUR OUC BILL-TODAY WE ARE UNEMPLOYEED AND ASKED FOR ONE SINGLE OUC PYMT DUE TO LACK OF FUNDS. THAT WAS 10 DAYS AGO!! NOT ONE REP WILL RETURN OUR CALL!! WE WILL NOT CONTRIBUTE ONE MORE DOLLAR TO THIS UNORGANIZED ORGANIZATION!! YOU WILL BE TOLD THAT THERE IS NO PERSON -IN CHARGE- THAT YOU CAN SPEAK TO!!! WORST CHARITY IVE EVER DONATED TO!! WILL BANK MY DONATIONS SO THAT I NEVER, EVER HAVE TO PLEAD FOR A ONE TIME ASSISTANCE EVER AGAIN!! HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! COMPLETELY HORRIBLE!!!!!!
Great experience very kind people there
Great place to volunteer, so much to do
They always try their best to assist you
211 is part of this great community organization.
I do not find United way to be very helpful. I find that my case manager often provides conflicting information, avoids phone calls, email messages, etc. Having to seek assistance can be humbling, however, I find the experience especially dehumanizing when you have to work with United Way.
Helpful staff,. Great location for resource assistance.
They work hard to find you help
