Terrible place the people who do work have to sleep on the floor when the ac breaks down.
Worst Of Worst they came up with a great system to exploit residents and their families, The staff at Dismas is very and unprofessional rude and there was a gentleman that recently got fired for stealing money from the residents, the turnover rate is very high each week someone is getting fired and hired, They will make it difficult for normal employers to hire residents because they work with two or three companies that will pay residents 8-10 dollars and hour 60 hours a week. If you are not working for the companies they work in conjunction with they will make it very difficult for you to get hired ANYWHERE! Read the rule book know the rules written by the BOP! Please triple check each dollar you give to them ask for receipts. and copies of everything. THIS IS YOUR WARNING!
The staff, for the most part, are decent.
If you are looking for a rehab program this is not the place. This place have uneducated, incompetent, rude, disrespectful employees. You ask to speak to there director, they either hang up or put you on hold. And this place is support to be faith base. I would hate to see how they treat their clients who are residing there.I would let my dog go there let alone a family member.
This is the worst place ever to work for. The staff treats the residents like garbage. They are a group of bickering unprofessional unfair people. I left voluntarily the job was not even paying what I was told on the date of hire. The director is the most sneaky unprofessional person I’ve ever worked for. They might as well sent the residents back to prison they’d be treated better there. Horrible experience!
What an amazing staff!!! Everyone is so supportive in helping men and women get there life back on track!!!
This place gives convicts a second chance at getting back into society.
The receive a lot of money from the federal government to house their halfway house inmates and they shamelessly exploit those inmates by forcing them to do labor for them which they do not pay them for. The federal government pays them a lot of money to house these inmates but they take the money from the federal government and then exploit the prisoners for free labor.
The staff are helpful but the bureaucratic red tape tends to slow down the progression of the overall program
Disrespectful people tha place is really bad
Great staff and very helpful environment
Very very good place
Not the greatest but not the worst i ever seen
The lady who answers the phone is rude
Clean and presentable
Staff very professional
I like it here
These half federal houses are very incompetent they exploit ex-confinees working for free, the staff is very unprofessional, they shout at residents and visitors, in addition to the money the federal government pays them for having residents there, at the time the Resident gets a job, they charge 25% of each check for half houses, that is, they have nothing to lose, the counselors are in complicity with half houses because, for example, my husband accepted him a few days before leaving for half houses. the electronic supervision and guidance given by Dismas in jail told him that he would only be there for a month and would go home with the shackle when he got to the half houses they told him that they dont give anyone a shackle there, of course! !! If they stop cashing residents checks. They are violating the rights, in addition to that there are even employees who steal and if the resident decides to call the police, he tells him that they are going to return him to jail, that is abuse of power. This is at Dismas Charities in Orlando
People who work ahy are very, very unprofessional. They do not help the ex-confined at all to reintegrate into society and they do everything possible to repel you. They are inept. They are only a and x the $ and when one does not do things x love and with love that are unfortunately the results.
