I had never been to Central Florida Speaker Repair but having been referred to the by Guitar Center and Don Lee, I figured it was worth driving 38 miles. So glad I did! I am a karaoke host and bought 2 speakers that totally rocked the house! Singers and non singers complimented on them. Great service, prices, and staff. I would recommend them for sure!!

Fernando and his crew were a wonderful delight to deal with. They are extremely knowledgeable and professional. I would even argue that they worked magic and preformed a miracle on my sub-woofer. I found Central Florida Speaker Repair on a Google search. The factory authorized repair service for my subwoofer was not able to fix it after two tries and endless frustration.Central Fl Speaker Repair found the problem in about 3 minutes and had it fixed in 5 min.The sub works perfectly now. I am unbelievably impressed. The cost was fair and I am an extremely happy customer. Fernando, I believe the owner, was so kind and personable.I would rate them a 10, if it were possible.

The guy hooked me up with a good used speaker that matched my Klipsch original. Said the quality was the same. It sounds really good for a real good price.

I took a vintage Pioneer receiver from the 70’s for a scratchy volume button, CFSR did an amazing job restoring it back to its original glory and finished the job earlier than expected. Great shop!

They fixed a piece from my dads old home speakers the same visit i brought it in. I was a little worried about the cost, but it was within reason. It was a little tricky, because the part they replaced was a bit longer than the original, which they did warn me about; fortunately, it barely fit. Realistically, it might have been smarter of me to bring the whole speaker, as I didnt anticipate this potential complication. Regardless, Id confidently bring my equipment again in the future and recommend them to anyone else.

First Experience was a bad one.I wrote a slightly more detailed review on YELP (look for it)I brought in 3 vintage (1980) rare / valuable woofers 2 refoams and 1 reattaching a lead.Fernando (I guess he is the owner) couldnt answer basic technical questions - had to keep asking an older gentleman from the back for answers (technician Dave?) After Dave (?) came up front we all chatted a bit.While looking at one of the woofers that needed re-foaming we discovered one of the leads was detached from the TERMINAL (my bad for not noticing that before - but an easy fix - no problem).But then he was a little more aggressive than I liked moving the cone around without the surround and he accidentally pulled the other lead out of the cone near the voice coil! (NOT GOOD!) (Fernando witnessed this directly).But they said they could fix it (good, because these speakers are unique, no interchange, no recone kits available)And hey - I do understand - these things happen.BUT - When it was time to ask the price, Fernando said I would be paying an extra $40 to repair the lead THAT THE TECH BROKE OFF THE CONE RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM.I protested and asked if he could at least do a little better on the price - we were at $166 (a LOT for 2 refoams which I am providing the kits for and 1 (or even 2?) Lead reattachments.He just said (with attitude) The price is the priceI could have come up with the extra $40 - but his attitude!But hey - Ive been in the business 30+ years - maybe prices have gone up. Maybe Fernando has a boat.Anyway - I told him right there that I didnt like his attitude.He then said in a huff, pushing my speakers toward me on the counter - we will not work on your stuff (fine).Look. I understand that the equipment is 40 years old and things happen. I told them SEVERAL times be careful, these are 40 years old.And I SOMEHOW even kept my cool as I watched him tear that lead out of the cone. (ugh!)But DO. NOT. ASK. ME. TO. PAY. for additional. damage THAT. YOU. CAUSED. RIGHT IN FRONT. OF. ME.LASTLY - and this is a pet peeve of mine:While this was all going on,Fernando (and by necessity Dave) took another customer/s ahead of me who just walked in after I was already there (Spanish) and fawned all over them - while I waited and he dealt with me with disdain.(Take from that what you will).I dont know how long Fernando has been in this business but I find it hard to believe he has a clue what to do technically (he kept having to ask the older guy basic questions) and he definitely missed charm school. He seems kinda young to have had anything to do with this business back in the day. But Apparently, he, somehow, is the owner (Who knows. Maybe he was the original owners son).Ive been in the sound business for 30+ years, been an audiophile for 40 years, worked for a high end audio manufacturer in the 80s-90s (cough) where some of what I did was (cough) build speakers that (cough) cost upwards of $20K a pair. Before that I managed a used sound equipment store, a stereo shop and also its repair dept, sold audio/video/ pro sound, was a service tech on commercial sound systems in large venues - blah blah blah.So Im older than dirt and Im from an age when I expect to be treated decently as a customer - and I KNOW what Im talking about. I could do these repairs myself but Im trying to get some $$$ vintage gear ready for sale and my repair skills are great for functional field repairs but not this level. That is why I went to professionals.Too bad this is the only shop of its type in Orlando.Now I have to drive 1-2 hours away to Speaker Exchange in Tampa (where Ive always had good experience before - funny THEY recommended I try here after I said I was coming all the way from Orlando. Ill be sure to tell them to maybe NOT.)Why not just ship these you ask?Experienced folks KNOW not to take chances with UPS shipping vintage speakers or sound equipment.Just a big fat Nope. from me.You blew it.

Prompt technical service evaluations. Was evaluating the speaker while I was there. There seems to be an issue with the speaker and they will let me know what is involved for repair service*Follow up.... 3 days later I was contacted that the subwoofer was ready. They bench tested it in front of me all was great. After 2 hours of time, they found some loose wiring and did not charge me because it was a used speaker I purchase from them back in May. I have marine speakers on my Can-am Spyder that both went out. I was looking for locations that fix speakers. A couple of places didn’t even want to assist. I had a problem with one of my surrounds. These guys diagnosed and repaired it in about fifteen minutes and for a much smaller fee than I expected. After fixing it, they took the time to explain what had gone wrong, explain how they fixed it, and demonstrate to me that it was working again. Took my JBL speakers up to them for repair (foam) and expected to wait 2 to 3 weeks like I have in the past with a different repair place. They looked at them and said they could get them done in a half hour. This was great as it was a 45 minute drive there and another 45 minutes back home. It saved me an hour and a half if I needed to come back. Excellent location and great owner.

I have a Cerwin Vega P1800sx powered Sub woofer and the guys at Central FL Speaker did a great job I would recommend highly. Not only was it done quickly the Cerwin Vega company is out of business and they still manage to fix all my original parts and now my speaker sounds like New.

I took a vintage Pioneer receiver to Central Florida Speaker for repairs a couple of weeks ago and there I was greeted very gracefully by Fernando who is the owner. It was a very pleasurable experience in which I left my receiver to be repaired. A couple of weeks later Fernando called me to let me know the price of the repair. A week later I picked the receiver and I am happy to report that it sounds great.I will be returning to this shop for future repairs of speakers and vintage equipment since the treatment I received was one very professional.

I had my JBL L166 speakers reconed here probably 30 years ago. I recently noticed they needed to be refoamed. I sent them a message with the form on the website and got a prompt reply that they would be open black Friday. I drove over this morning and they refoamed them in about 2 hours so I wouldnt have to make another trip to Orlando. That is fantastic service. They cleaned them up too. They demonstrated them before I left and sound great. The price was fair too. They appreciate the quality of these speakers. Nice people.
