Ive always been warned about timeshare scams but since this company supposedly partnered with Carnival I was excited to hear more about travel opportunities. Our sales rep was very nice and gave us quite the tale. We finally agreed on a deal and were super excited to travel the World at an affordable price. However, the contract we initialed the first time was not the same as the next few. READ everything they make you sign and be sure its what you want!!Marketing verbiage is very tricky and 1 word or phrase can change a whole contract and you can be out tens of thousands. This was not our cup of tea after the pricing changed at the very end. We were extremely disappointed because we missed a day with our family to be almost tricked into an expensive vacation trap. It may not be a time share but you will not get cheap or Free incentives from this company. I would not recommend.

If I could rate this less than 1 star or even negative at this point I would. We were sold on this program that was made to sound wonderful. I regret everything now. The severe lack of communication is ridiculous. I had to follow up multiple times to get the “gift” we were promised. Took several text messages and the final few were not pleasant, just to get them to follow thru. I have now emailed multiple times to reschedule a phone call to go over the use of the program. I have yet to receive an email back. I also left a very upset voicemail the other day regarding the same and have NOT received a call. At this point I want OUT! We have not used any part of this scam of a program and we don’t want to. They can take everything back even the pathetic “gifts” they gave us (they aren’t free like they make them sound, don’t fall for it). I don’t want anything anymore. I am so upset at myself for falling for this scam. DO NOT FALL FOR ANY OF THEIR SALES TACTICS!!!

We just bought into this yesterday and now I’m nervous after reading all of these reviews. We were told it’s not a timeshare but i keep reading comments that it is. We were told we could stay places for $269 for 5 nights. Now I’m reading that it’s hard to book and it cost more. I’m so confused right now. We were told cruises were at 40-50% discounts but someone said it’s a 10% discount. I’m also seeing that upgrades are hard to get and places to stay are limited. Can someone please share some info with me? Someone that bought in and just didn’t sit through the presentation and received the free gifts for going.

Lies, manipulation, and deceit! We wondered why they kept changing the forms filling out the same information multiple times. Then before we were trapped into signing the contract (because it was really too good to be true) we noticed the terminology ever so slightly changed that turned price ceilings (price up to...) Into price floors (prices starting at...) That completely invalidated the great deals we were promised during the presentation! We spent 7 hours here and almost fell for these tactics that were worse than a shady used car salesman! Im glad * trusted my gut and we pulled out before it was too late! We were also promised multiple times they wouldnt do a hard credit inquiry and they hit my credit!

I went to the presentation they offer to present the plan and to receive some gifts as part of their marketing plan. I made the mistake of buying the vacation plan based on what they told me in the presentation. Two weeks later they called us to offer us a tutorial and then my wife and I realized the big mistake we made in giving them our signature since the gifts and benefits are not as promised. And now, as three days have passed, they dont want to let us go and they want us to continue paying for a plan in which we no longer want to be part of it. I havent even paid the first payment and I already want to leave because I realize how horrible this company is. Dont be fooled like it happened to me and my wife.

We were referred to go on presentation from our friends about 2 months ago that have been owners. They swear by this program and they travel to 5 star locations all over the world so we figured we would try it. We did buy, we were nervous at first and werent thrilled about having to pay for future vacations however we just went to Hawaii last week and we literally did a really really expensive vacation for almost nothing. So WE ARE SUPER HAPPY!! Best choice we have made so far . My guess is alot of these reviews that are negative are competitors.. we read some too but we know our friend and he is a doctor and smart so if he likes it, it must be good!

Vista Cay 3 bedroom suite is nice, well staffed. Theres big pool, Lake, playground, grills. A walk one way takes you to strip mall for Publix and eateries, walk other way to Walgreens.

Loved the product just wish I would have know what it was before showing up because I would have brought the money with me.

This has been the worst decision we have ever made. I get better deal & saving with Expedia, the rooms with RCI Ascendant are so out dated / not as glamorous as they say / your discount with carnival cruise was only 10% off ... with this pandemic happening we try to cancel our contract a week after the signing but by the time they got back to us it was to late / then the $800 to just active my points then $399 more if you want a more updated place then they wanna charge me $199.00 for yearly fee ... fee for what if I still struggling to pay my credit card & have not even used your service ...Don’t do it / run away & save your money ..If I can sell this I’ll even sell it for 1/2 just to get rid of this

This place is a complete scam, my family bought a vacation package from them its a complete fraud they will brive and lie to you into buying a package that doesnt exist, give you and amount and charge you a total different much more than what they tell you, believe me what Im telling you check all the complains they got with the BBB, and you will see stay away from this scammers

Jorge bravo and Mark Biandi where my leaders at that time. I didnt leave the review because I didnt want it to be biased. However it did seem a little complicated getting someone on the phone. LolHowever I appreciate you reaching out for constructive criticism. but theres really not much to fix with the program, resorts or anything else. I loved my time working there. You can always find better deals online through search engines like expedia and others.I been calling for a promise refund and they never get to find my information after they charger me wrong they also checked my credit score without my permission when it was only my husband credit they were supposed to check .Membership it’s a scam .... timeshare.Don’t fall for itUpdate:They called me right after I wrote this review telling me that if I didn’t removed the review they would not give me back my refund of 350 dollars.

BEWARE it’s a SCAM!!!!!! They give you misleading information and then rush you through a contract signing and you never get what they promise. You really don’t save money you even end up spending more money. Just use Expedia or search engine like that one for vacation packages and you’ll save money. Trust me don’t be like me and my husband and lose tons of money.

Ascendant Holidays has been a great experience. Being able to go travel the world with reasonable pricing. It’s a very great thing to invest in. They have amazing representatives that can help with with all aspects. They are very friendly when talking to.

The staff and facility are A1. The process was smooth to sign up and they really have great prices. Stacey and her team even celebrate your decision to vacation with champagne after the transaction is complete! They also send a multitude of special offers giving members even more for our money.

Had a wonderful time with our adult children! Everyone is so friendly. Our place was spotless and roomy for 4 adults. We will certainly be back!

At the end of 2017, after Christmas, we vacationed at Calypso Cay Resort via Ascendant Holidays promotion. We sat through the sales pitch and chose to buy into the Vacation Club; it was one of the better programs we had viewed (and weve been thru several). We bought into the low end plan, my wife even got a discount for us since she is a public school teacher. We really liked the accommodations, and were impressed by the improved quality of accommodations once a member. This year, 2019, we were able to take advantage of our week, and upgrade our room and even add an additional week (of course you pay extra, but for 7, it is an excellent deal). Were excited and love the accommodations, they are what we expected as when going through the sales pitch. We cant wait to make use of more of our membership, when time permits. The Ascendant Holidays and Calypso Cay Resort are improving in their service. I will admit, it was Ricky at first, but is getting better. I would recommend this program, and do not have any issue on the decision we made.

Run. Run fast. Lying scam. Do not sign up. It will take forever to get your money back if you ever do. Plus they give you numbers that say mailbox is full as your point of contact.UPDATE:It is now three months since purchasing that I’ve been trying to get my money back and one month since the owner’s response. Still nothing. I called weekly email and talk to Elva Jimenez Who keeps giving me the runaround. Still working on getting my money back. Buyer beware

I am always skeptical of these sort of things, however my wife was excited about Carnival cruises and being able to go to Cancun every year. So needless to say I succumbed and bought 82,000 points. I have got a say I am pleasantly surprised. Our first trip to the sunset marina and yacht club was AMAZING. What an experience. Staff was hands on, rooms were off the chain, and the food was outta this world. My children had so much fun with the supervised daily kids activities, my wife and had time to reconnect and relax daily in the private cabanas on the beach. All I can say is Wow.... This will be a tradition that we do as a family every year. We have a cruise booked for December and got a family suite for the price of what a boiler room cabin normally cost.Great program.

Beware if you are signing up for a tour for their freebies, you might never get it. They promised us a cruise voucher if we attended the tour. We spend a good 4 hours there to hear their pitch through 3 different people. After 4 hours wasted, they told us the cruise vouchers ran out and would mail it to us. They said it would come within a week, but I still havent got it since. I contacted 3 different phone numbers and none ever responded. How would you trust them if they make you pay thousands of membership fee and you cannot even get a hold of a real person? Make sure you get what you are promised right there or youd just waste all your time.They were really pushy and could pressure you into thinking signing up for their travel club is a good deal. We did. How stupid. Good thing we were able to cancel after going home and did a little more research about this new company. DO NOT FALL FOR IT. They will give you the same deal for more than half a price if you just sit there and say no. After you pay, you will have hard time contacting anyone.This is the travel club deal they are promoting, not timeshare with Calypso Cay although it is part of the deal they give you as well.

The points are the best part. We went to the resort they have in Punta Cana and it was magnificent! Way better then timeshare i would recommend

We purchased with another family we vacation with about 2 months ago. So far so good! Pretty cool you can use the rci points portion however you want. We do a lot of long weekend trips so it’s nice we are able to break the points up how we want . Looking forward to a few trips then I’ll make another review!

My wife and I are always on aware for the best possible getaway on a sandy beach like Cancun or Los Cabos in order to escape the usual 9-5. Before we knew it, we had enough to become a member with 60,000 points. Easy to use, now just days away from our Cancun vacations getaway.

Been a owner for a year..Pretty unique program. You have RCI global points which you can basically use wherever you want. We just did a week in Hawaii and still have points left over for atleast another week or 10 days. Super glad this thing didnt work like a traditional timeshare. I am very pleased so far. Carnival benefit is pretty awesome too.

Went to a presentation like most do for the free gift. The second or presenter found out I worked for another timeshare company, he ended our presentation. My husband was interested in learning more of what they had to offer but he decided to “give up” the sale. Horrible experience in my book regardless if I was going to buy or not.

Long LONG presentation and definitely all about time shares. Theyre just called vacation clubs now and you can change your time and destination whenever you like. We did get the cruise certificate for showing up though.

We owned a Timeshare in myrtle beach and this was the first company that actually got us out of our timeshare! Thank god! We were skeptical but it really works lol. You can’t read reviews about rci because the way this works is nothing like regular timeshare. The nice thing is the points let you do whatever you want and even book for nights only! My partner and I signed up an Orlando Magic game and we were somewhat sceptical since we have a timeshare and have been through the process before- this company seemed to offer an alternative. We decided to try it out anyway. What can I say other than we were pleasantly surprised! We arrived and immedialty connected with Sophia (our guide) and she was so sweet. We decided to wait on joining but we did buy a trial program and we are so excited to use the Magic Tickets that they gave us on the spot. Let’s see how this trial goes and maybe I’ll leave another review in a few months!Time will tell...

Just doing the tour and finding about the program was a horrible experience, the sales man was nice although he was a half hour late. When he finished his part and brought the manager over to do the financials. We decided we were not interested at this time Nico the manager was rude,obnoxious,told us we wasted his salesmans time and because we didnt purcahase he said the nice salesman juan was gonna get fired. He turned into a nasty man..i had to complain to management,

Got a call saying you won a carnival Cruise vacation, all you have to do is come and listen to us.....we are not selling anything and not a time share offer. So we went.. ok sales person starts with will cost you $900. And thats all next well there is a annual fee and then for only $8490. You can vacation and stay Free at our resorts. Make sure to see Uncle Buck as they called him and let him trying to sell you a dream vacation. Very rude @ end didnt like saying no thanks and commented on my actions.

So I waited to write this until I actually had my login information. Login info for RCI takes about 2-3 weeks. Surprisingly enough the program is awesome!! The way that this company was able to get the RCI points without a maintenance fee is pretty cool, if your skeptical like we were hopefully this puts your mind at ease. We are happy so far! going to Dominican Republic next week. Thanks

Every thing is in writing and very clearly stated, no suprises and easy to book. It cimes with a free consiere, but I prefer to book it myself. The last minute deals are nice, you just have to be able to travel within 60 days. The cruise program is excellent too.

This is a scam please do not fall for this. They told me it was going to be ten thousand then two months later I get a call saying it’s going to be seventeen thousand. This is a scam!!!

Great program . Went in exspecting timeshare and got a program that alloweed me flexibility, amazing service and great quality vacations . Was able to bring my friends and family on our first cruise and then a trip to Europe ! Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for luxery travels, will definitely get the most out of my ownership !

They are the worse place around. They get you to buy in and to use your benefits you are paying for you have to pay hidden fees. They mislead you and dont tell you the loop holes they have. They are supposed to give you $1000. year to spend on their site. You cant really buy anything you just get money off the stuff. The RCI points you get included the 1st year you have to pay to get. Then to use the RCI points on the RCI site you have to pay a fee to use the points that you bought. Then for your $399 and $150 weeks you have to pay booking fees to use them. Also you have to pay a yearly fee of $249. in order to use any of the benefits you have paid for. I am very disappointed with this company and wish I never had to deal with them again

This place is truly a piece of garbage and a scam. Theyre basically selling you timeshare but without you signing a deed. I bought amd looked them up amd changed my mind. Stay away!

I could smell the scumminess of this business as soon as I got the phone call from the Indian salesman who claimed Id been selected for a free couples vacation in a giveaway drawing. Nice try...Ive never entered such a drawing and am sure this company is violating the TCPA, telephone consumer protection act. Not only do I not appreciate (understatement) unsolicited spammy phone calls, but I will not tolerate being talked to in such a sleazy, sycophantic way. I am not your dear! Stay away guys, and better yet, if you have the time and energy, take this company down for their illegal violations of the TCPA!

Stay away from this company !!!!!!!!!!!DO NOT BUY THIS MEMBERSHIP !!!!!!!!Everything is a scam, when you call they never answer you and the prices of the hotels are not as good as they say ... In other places like COSCO you find them much cheaper and with tickets included.I bought the membership a few months ago and the guy who helped me lied to my face. I told him that I really didnt want to because I didnt want to have another bill for more than 150 dollars and he told me that the monthly payment would be less than that, I also told him that I would not accept an interest of more than 5%. It turns out that I have to pay 10 thousand dollars in 6 months because otherwise they will charge me 24% interest ... When I manage to contact him for an explanation, he tells me that as he heard my husband told me that we could try to pay it in less than 6 months ... he did not consider it important to mention that he had obviated all my requests ...This is the third review that I put because they delete them and they have not given me any answer.I will continue to put it until someone answers me for that.If you check all the bad reviews were removed

I have been unemployed since March 23 due to the situation of COVID-19. I have been calling Ascendant to ask for help with my payments and they told me 2 times that they sent me a document by mail to lower my monthly payment to $ 50 (currently I pay $ 250) the 2 times that they told me that THEY DID NOT SEND ME THE DOCUMENT and now they tell me that they have no record of my last call and that the promotion is no longer available and they cannot help me with my payments. It is impossible that my call was not recorded or that the lady I spoke with the last time did not leave any notes since she told me that she would leave notes for the person in charge of my account. If I could get rid of this account I would, I dont recommend having a timeshare with them.
