I attended a Coffee with a Leader workshop and the information I took away was so helpful with our business. The leader was very knowledgeable and the topic was very relevant to many for-profit and non-profit companies. I would recommend to anyone to sign up for their email reminders about upcoming workshops and other informational resources.

I have attended several SCORE Events online webinars - ALL have had useful and interesting information. I really enjoy their speakers - Penney Fox (Social Media/Marketing) and Toni Harris Taylor (Sales, Networking & Follow-Up)... the classes are free, they have a catalog to view and chose from and they have mentors waiting to help you start or grow your business. I am looking into Real Estate Investing and just attended an excellent presentation hosted by SCORE Orlando, FL and presented by Leerdam Properties. The presenters showed a vast experience in the field of Real Estate investing and answered every question for myself and everyone attending with ease. I went to a Score marketing event about a year ago without knowing anything about their organization. I found the classes really helpful. Specifically one on Google Analytics for Businesses.Then, a few months ago I reached out to get a free mentor and had the opportunity to talk with a few different mentors. That was something that was great about it. I was encouraged to try out a few mentors to see what was a good fit. Ive never had one before and wasnt sure what to expect. With the three mentors I have had the privilege to talk with I got great advice and good actionable steps to move my business forward.I chose a mentor that personally was the best fit for me and my business needs. Hes been great! Hes checked on me and my progress, challenged and encouraged me. When we recently met up to go over my business plan he was a wealth of knowledge. With his help we were able to identify the hangups in my plan and come up with some solutions to work towards. Im genuinely so grateful for the advice and the opportunity to have accessibility to the SCORE mentorship program.Starting a business is really difficult and knowing where to turn for advice is sometimes just as difficult. I read through some of the other comments on here and was surprised by some of the negativity. My advice would be not to give up if youve met with one mentor from the program. I can only speak from my personal experience, but there are so many knowledgable business men and women that are willing to help and share their wisdom. It doesnt mean every one of them is going to be the right fit for you, but Id encourage you to try again. If youve had a negative experience, talk with the front desk while youre there to get some in person suggestions on mentors that would be better suited to you.Anywho, Thats enough preaching. All the best to all you entrepreneurs out there.
