I have terrible anxiety regarding my hair. It’s very curly, super thick, and I only get it cut once a year if even that. After going 1 year and 4 months since my last haircut, I was desperate to get rid of a few inches. I booked with Danni for Saturday afternoon after I saw her name in the reviews a few times. I have to say, I was so happy that I booked with her. She was very sweet, asked me questions about how I like my hair and she checked in with me during the haircut too! I felt very at ease with her and I am beyond pleased with how my hair turned out.It sucks that most stylists don’t have a lot of practice or tools for curly hair and while I didn’t really expect her to style my hair after, it was nice that she did. This was the first time I left the salon not looking like a poodle. After I styled my own hair at home, it looked flawless. Thank you so much for the wonderful haircut Danni, I’ll definitely be back.

I booked an appointment at Floyd’s for my boyfriend with Lily and I couldn’t be more happy I had. He said it was the best experience he’s had at a barbershop and she did such a great job cutting his hair and facial hair. 10/10 recommend. Thank you so much Lily.

Went in to get my bangs a little trimmed and walked out looking like a mess. Way too short, choppy, and uneven. Ive been here twice and seen two different people and both didnt ask questions or communicate what they were doing or if I liked it.

First time customer. I was a walk-in and I only had to Wait 20 min. Enough time for a cup of coffee at Panera a couple doors down. Nicole did a great job with my “bed head”. She is very fast, fluid, and does a great job. Not chatty (which is good). She gave a great haircut AND a shoulder massage. I will be back!

The barber who cut my hair mess up so badly and hid his mistakes by styling my hair after the cut. He turned me away from the mirror so I couldn’t see how he was cutting my hair. Worst hair cut I’ve ever had in my life. I told them I was a new client, it looks like they couldn’t care less by giving the worst barber there. Definitely never going back.

Drove almost an hour to get there it’s been two times already when they don’t do eyebrows as requested and also i have to ask for the massage machine. they use to do this everytime without asking today the barber said I’m not a eyebrow specialist I’m not coming back

I travel a lot for work, so I like Floyd’s because I pretty much know what to expect in terms of price and quality. In my many years of patronizing this chain, 90% of the time, my haircut is adequate or better. Twice I have had my hair ruined, but overall it’s decent. This location in particular has been home to the worst of my experiences. This most recent time I went in and showed the barber 3 reference photos for my hair, he didn’t trim the top at all to even out the bangs and when he was done he didn’t even ask me if I was happy with it just took off the cape and motioned for me to go to the counter. It’s not a terrible cut but I wasn’t very happy. The Floyd’s on mills has much more consistent quality in my experience.

I drive 35 minutes to come here and the last two times I scheduled appointments when I arrived they could not facilitate the appointments. I guess I have to drive an hour to the Floyd’s 99 barbershop on University. They are great!

Consistently gives the best haircuts Ive ever had. Perfect blend of a chain with the artistry of a barber shop. The atmosphere and extra touches (shaving cream and straight Razer for the hairline) goes a long way too. Dont think I could ever go back to some of the other barbershop chains out there

Lily is the reason I come here. I have never been a “I have my own hair stylist” kind of person, but Lily is-definitely-my-person! Every single time I come, I am treated so well by everyone who works there. Lily gives me the cut I want and listens to me. Not to mention, she remembers exactly what we did the time before and makes sure she knows exactly what I want before beginning. The whole place is awesome with some really talented artists and a very open/welcoming environment. If I had ten thumbs, then I would give them ten thumbs up.

I was so happy to find Lily as she has taken incredible care with my hair and has gone on many hair journies with me.I recommend her to every person I know who is looking for a great haircut.She now cuts my fiances, best friends, and co-workers hair - all due to my recommendation.And I couldnt extend that recommendation to you enough.Also, she happens to be incredibly creative and kind.

They always do a great job on my haircuts and the staff are always very friendly. I never wait long either. They did a very good job being cautious with COVID-19 by sterilizing everything before they used it and by making sure that all staff and employees wore masks... And if you happen to not have a mask then they have masks available.

After quarantine I wasn’t sure what to expect with a haircut but they delivered the best possible service as if nothing has changed. I saw Danni who is AMAZING. She made my hair look so much better than I even thought it could. She took her time and texturized it until it was perfect! Everyone was wearing their masks and they took every customer’s temperature as they walked in. They made sure everyone was complying with the new regulations and sanitized so many things just while I was there. This place knows what they’re doing and they want to keep everyone safe and continue to serve their community and provide the services we all love and need. Thank y’all for being rockstars!

Crystal was my hair dresser, she did a very good job doing my hair. She was kind and gentle. She did my hair great and didnt mess up. My new haircut looks great and I am definitely going to this hair salon again. She is a great hairdresser, if you go, she is a great hairdresser.

I have been going to Floyds on S Orange Ave for some time now. I must say all their stylist are good but Shannon B. is great all around. Her personality is awesome and she always cuts my hair and sons perfectly! She’s a must see!!!

Ive removed a previous 5 star review and changed it to this. Id been coming to this location for at least a few years. I liked it so much that Id never get my hair cut or dyed anywhere else, even when I was usually away out of town for school or for work. Id always wait until I could come back to Floyds.Unfortunately, that wont be the case going forward. This location has, in my opinion, been moving in the wrong direction for some time. The last time I had my hair cut my edge was messed up and the last time I had my hair dyed it was way more yellow/brassy than the reference images I provided.At that time, I didnt leave a poor review because I was able to discuss the mistake with management and have the issue corrected (for the dye, not the cut). They were very professional and corrected the color at no charge.A couple days ago I went in to have my hair cut and dyed again. The cut turned out good, but I wasnt happy with the color. It was much darker than the reference I provided, which the colorist agreed was possible to achieve in one session. I made it clear before I left that I was unhappy. There was no offer made by staff to correct it. Instead I was essentially told to fix it myself using purple shampoo and that it would lighten over time. I called the store as soon as I got home to schedule an appointment to have the color corrected.Today was the appointment. When I arrived I was told that they wouldnt be lightening my hair any further unless I paid again (in addition to the $100+$25 tip I had already paid for the color I was unhappy with). When setting up the correction Id been very clear that I wasnt happy with how DARK my hair was, so logically, the corrective action would be to LIGHTEN it. But they let me drive all the way to the barbershop and THEN told me that I could have my hair lightened more, if I coughed up more money of course.Even worse, the colorist argued with me about my hair color and claimed that my hair was already as light as or lighter than the reference picture I provided (it absolutely was not).Today was the last event in a string of failures by this location so I wont be returning. The prices are far too high to have to deal with this kind of nonsense.Note that the below response from the owner is to my previous 5 star review.

Id sum this place up as a retro barber shop with a rock and roll meets the modern day hipster theme. A friend of mine from work suggested this place to me and now this has become my regular. The location isnt necessarily convenient compared to where I live but its worth the travel for me.Melissa has been my favorite so far but Ive never gotten a bad hair cut no matter who Ive sat with. Good music and a laid back atmosphere. The staff is always nice and attentive. Some of cool amenities they offer is the straight razor edging around your hairline on the sides and in the back, hot towel treatment and a relaxing, yet brief shoulder massage. The only reason why I went with 4 stars instead of 5 is because not all of the cutters offer you the hot towel and shoulder massage at the end? This isnt a huge deal but I believe there should always be consistency with the service. Once the apron comes off, its awkward to request either of these services; well, at least to me.They only take same day appointments and they have the hair cutters schedules posted online. Simply call on the morning of the day you want to go in for a cut and you are good to go. Theyve always been very nice and accommodating here.A definite recommend by me.

I went to Floyds 99 Barbershop for the first time today and was HIGHLY impressed. From the look of the place, to the great employees, I loved it. The gentleman who cut my hair, Jason, was the best. Super friendly, very professional. Enjoyed how easy it was to talk to the entire staff. Can not stress how awkward it is sitting in a chair, not speaking, as a stranger cuts your hair. So it was great that the staff was willing to discuss a large variety of topics with me. I highly recommend checking out Floyds. Only $22 for my haircut, and because it was my first time, they shampood my hair for FREE, and they gave my some coupons to use when I return, which I most definitely will!

Excellent haircuts for all three men in my family. Kent is our choice. He remembers how he cut your hair last time and does it perfectly again. A little pricey but better that than an awful haircut at a cheap place.

It was my first time at Floyds today and my barbers name was Lew. Id have to say hands down it was the best haircut i ever got in my life. I have been cutting my own hair by myself for about 5 years and this was my first professional haircut in a while and it felt so great. I also got much needed beard trim and Lew did and absolute incredible job. The atmosphere of the place is really awesome. The music artwork on the walls is super neat as well. I am defiantly coming back to this place and i will be sure to request Lew again for the tremendous work! Thank you!

I just got home from my haircut at Floyds and it was beyond expectation. I came in and was seen by a barber within a few minutes. I showed my barber, Kent, a photo of something similar to what I wanted and he went above and beyond to give me something that looks amazing. I was quite a bit nervous of cutting my hair as it was very long, but Kent gave his advice and recommendations and it was so much better than I had hoped. This will be my go-to barbershop from now on. Thank you so much to Kent and the others at Floyds 99 Barbershop!

My favorite barbershop in Orlando! Where else you can listen to great music, have a good conversation and get a fresh haircut ? Floyd’s it’s the place my friend! All the staff are so friendly, and the walk ins wait are usually less then 15 minutes. It’s my go to place for a haircut.

They have figured out what dudes like - a straight forward hair cut and a warm straight razor neck shave from a good barber/stylist while listening to rocking music. You can talk, just relax, no pressure. Ive never had to wait and have always got a decent haircut. Theyve not all been great so Id recommend finding someone who cuts your hair the way you like it best and then sticking with them. The desk keeps track so if you forget the name, just ask.

Floyds is the place to receive a haircut. Ive been to a few of their locations (Mills, Orange, and UCF) and have received good service from all but great from this particular location. Ive personally tried 3 barbers at this location but Dan was the best. Ive been going to him for over a year now for both my haircut and beard trim; both turn out phenomenal each time. I will continue to visit this location as long as Dan as there and would follow him to any location he may move to in the future.

Great shop and all but they will not touch your hair color if you’ve had it done at a different location. I guess you have to be sure you won’t be moving before getting your color done. I got my color done at one location that’s 40 minutes away and now I was trying to get it touched up here but they said that I had to do it with the same person who initially did the color which is totally ridiculous. I’ve never even heard of this policy before and I’ve been going here for years. Guess I’ll be getting my hair and color done elsewhere from now on so that I’m not limited to just one person.

We were able to get seen as a walk-in. Their service is good but its way too long to sit through a simple haircut. I understand this is a venue for hipsters but the music is blasting. This requires people to scream to speak. Prices are decent.

I’ve been going here for almost 2 years. Last week I had an appointment with my regular barber, and when I arrived it turned out that they had scheduled me with the wrong barber so I couldn’t get a hair cut that day. Mistakes happen, so not a huge deal; I simply rescheduled for the following Monday.I hadn’t realized at the time, but that was Memorial Day. Bonehead move on me, but I don’t usually think about holidays. It turns out that the shop is closed that Monday. I also have an interview that day, which is why I needed the hair cut.They know when they’ll be closed, so why schedule me for an appointment on that day??The reception at this place has gotten progressively worse over the last several months. If this is something that continues, I’ll have to find somewhere else to get my hair cut.Floyd’s, you’re close to losing a loyal customer, please get a worthwhile receptionist that knows how to keep a schedule.

Got slayed on the exact color I requested by DANNI. She blew the style I had in mind out of proportion,, in the best way. After going elsewhere and leaving disappointed DANNI hooked me up! Second time at this place and definitely recommend. First time Jon was my barber and he did awesome, very attention to detail. Second time was Lew who did an outstanding job, and did exactly what i wanted without even showing a picture! He has a great personality and good head on his shoulders.

The environment and brand was awesome. The concept is exciting. However, Heather basically just cut all my hair off. I doubt there was much skill or thought involved at all. I could have just asked a stranger to shave a 3 on the sides and gotten the same results.

Truly a great experience. Luna really listened to me and delivered exactly what I was looking for. I left feeling like a million bucks and look forward to going back. The facility is clean and the faculty is superb. Highly recommended!

New to the Orlando area and I was looking for a new barbershop. I was exploring my options through Google maps, viewed this barbershop to be highly recommended. I was utterly disappointed due the fact for one I went in for something simple a razor shave meaning bald cut and just to clean my face, expecting to be 20$ just like any other place... I was wrong. I walked away from the place spending 44$, I was overpriced for a simple cut and on top of that they didnt clean the clippers or razor so now I have bumps. They dont display the pricing either. I would not recommend going here

My stylist was Rachel W. I have very very curly hair and I came in because it was a hot mess. She did an excellent job shaping and styling my hair. I have had difficulty finding a decent stylist, so it in my opinion makes it that much better. I highly recommend.

Got a bad haircut from a location in Colorado and was traveling right after so I didnt really notice until I arrived in Florida. I came to this location and, after a smooth checkin, I was sat in a chair in less than five minutes. The guy that cut me was a beast with the clippers! He went above and beyond just fixing the haircut. Awesome job! The people there are wonderful as well. It was great speaking with all of them.

Love the atmosphere, the artsy vibe and the professional attitude of everyone there. Definitely never going anywhere else! They always cut my hair just right and their Refresh leave in conditioner is the best thing to happen to my body since I lost my virginity. Buy it.

I will give overall experience 2 stars the haircuts are highly inconsistent because everybody has different backgrounds and the booking platform online failed me three times. My user experience has been less then acceptable I will not be returning
