This is the worst rental company I have ever worked with. Poor customer service and they hung up on me. Called back multiple times and they would pick up the phone and hang up. We recently rented a 12 passenger van just wanted to say the service was great from the beginning to the end. Heather was very helpful through the process she made things run very smooth. The van was very clean and had cold AC which was needed in that Florida heat. Whenever we come to Florida they will now be my go to for rentals. Thanks again.

I have to echo Jay Skillz review and thoughts. I rented 2-12 person vans this past week for a Volleyball function for our group. Through out the booking and rental process Heather was responsive and very accommodating. In addition pick up and drop off was simple and PAINLESS!!! The vans were clean and perfect for our needs. Do not hesitate to use these folks if you need a van in the Orlando area. The only thing I would caution is that Orlando drivers are absolutely over the top and not at all friendly.

Good customer service and experience for renting a van. Better choice and process than Enterprise. Will be using them again for our future van rentals in FL. We rented from Orlando Airport. Shuttle bus collected us and took us to the rental office a few mins drive away. Van was clean and prepared ready for us. They were flexible when we needed to extend our van rental by almost a week.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! We rented a 15 passenger van for a volleyball tournament to transport the players to and from the facility. The process was so easy from booking the van, to picking it up, to dropping it back off at the end of our trip. The price was even MUCH less than renting a van from one of the major rental car companies. The staff at Carls van rentals are so helpful, I worked directly with Heather and she was so helpful! I will most definitely be using them again!! 10/10!

We rented a12 passenger van getting in after hours on a Saturday and returned before hours on Monday a week later. Carls has a great arrangement to drop the vehicle at a close hotel and provide a driver to get you there. It worked flawlessly. I’d highly recommend them!!!

I was a little hesitant to rent not from one of the big rental car companies, but the savings was around $500 and I decided to risk it.My experience was really great, No Nickle and diming, what the contract said I paid. The van was in excellent shape, and spotless . I needed to extend the van for a few days, and Heather from Carls was great with that.All in all a really great experience would definitely rent again.

I had a great experience from reservations to return of the van. It helps to be familiar with the policies on the website ahead of time. The price was lower than competition in the area. The shuttle to and from the airport quick and clean. Our van was not perfect (rip in the leather, wiper fluid low warning light, key fob low battery warning light) but it was clean, comfortable, and reliable. We also rented two car seats. I wasnt sure what to expect. They were brand new! Renting seats made our trip easier. We will definitely rent from and recommend Carls.

This place was fantastic. We rented a van for the week and it really was the easiest process. The workers were super friendly and kind and the transport from the airport was great. The rental price was great and van was clean and ran great. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend them to anyone.

For a Family Trip, we rented Van from Carls Van Rental for a week to go to North Carolina. To our surprise we were given vehicle that nobody will even rent for local use. We picked up the van after hours at 5 PM with dash-board showing Brake Pads are worn and need attention. We had no alternative other than drive the van to our trip early next morning. Information sent to Frank, the manager. We did not drive the vehicle to many places where we could have gone.When we come back, CARLS VAN RENTAL charges us 8 days instead of 7 - TOTAL FRAUD. The company sent online agreement on day of pick up to sign electronically that wrote pick up at 5 PM while return at 10 PM that we never said. The company refused to refund the extra day that was charged.When the Owner Mr. Carl was approached, he sided with his manager rather than checking if client is right.BE AWARE OF CARLS RENTAL, THEY ARE FRAUD AND THEIR VEHICLES ARE IN DISREPAIR. They have no business ethics.

I was in a tight spot and needed a wheelchair lift, they made sure it was available with no problems. They are super nice and gave me the feeling that they really cared. I will rent from them when ever I need rentals!

Jay was excellent. Efficient, knowledgeable, friendly. Couldnt have asked for more. The cargo van was clean and well maintained. I would rent from Carls again for sure.

I use Carl’s often for my work! This is by far the best van rental establishment in all of FLORIDA!!!! Carl’s has excellent customer service! They have made renting an easy and efficient process! And, their vans are always in excellent condition and reliable!! The manager, John (aka Jay), is THE best! He is excellent at managing, and any company would be lucky to have him!!!!

Rented a 15 passenger van from Orlando airport site for a large group of 11. We drove it to southern Florida for some beach time and took it to some dinners then back to Orlando for our flights. Price was competitive. Van was in good shape and easy to drive. We used the off hours pick up and drop off process - which worked just fine.Overall I would recommend Carl’s and will use them again if I have a need to haul a large group around Florida!

We rented a van for our family Christmas vacation for 22 people. Other family members chose companies at the airport terminal. Carls Van Rental was convenient and a lot cheaper. The shuttle driver was very friendly....we also share the same Christmas birthday!! The after hours drop off worked well for us considering we left at 4am. We will definitely use this company again.

I literally walked in to Carl’s after dealing with another very shady rental place next door. Carl’s is Wonderful. I will never go to another car rental again. Finally, no hassle. No extra add on bait and switch. They are friendly, have a shuttle, rent larger vehicles and vans, quick service. You do need proof of insurance and you do need a major credit card. Debit cards work, but the deposit is large. Finally, a GREAT rental place that you can afford in Orlando.

We had 6 adults and 3 children traveling in Orlando. We needed a 12 passenger van. I researched all the online car rentals with an average price of over $2000 for 6 days!We got a great reliable van from Carls for less than $700.Their staff picked us up from the airport, loaded and unloaded our luggage. Check in was easy.We had to return van to remote parking as our flight was early in am. We followed their directions and had no problems!I would highly recommend Carls. I will use again when in Florida.

My husband and I rented a van on June 13. We a great experience. Heather made our experience smooth and very effective. She did an amazing job at helping us get our van and was very positive! Because of her, we will definitely rent again at Carls.

The staff was great, very easy to work with, plenty of room in our 12 passenger extended for family AND luggage!The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because the van has a governor that only allows you to go 65mph ( the speed limit is 70mph). This felt dangerous as I was merging it on to the Turnpike and didn’t have enough speed and trucks were honking and having to move over/slow down.I say this more as giving an awareness of what you may get. My brother-in-law had a different van from them and no governor.All in all, Carl’s will be my go to service when in Florida!

We rented a 12 passenger van from Carl’s & they couldn’t have been more helpful and professional. From calling to confirm after I made the reservation on line, to pick up at the airport, transferring our bags to the rental while we were checking in (having it cooling when we got in), not pushing us to add extra insurance, to giving directions, they were friendly & efficient. Everything was smooth & they were the most reasonable option.

Great customer service until return time. Staff tried to charge us twice for fuel that we prepaid. However, he called the manager and was able to fix the error.

Did you know that if you arrive before business hours, you can do all the paperwork before you arrive and then they will plant the van in the airport parking the night before and just tell you where its parked so you can walk off the plane and into your van with zero hassles? Well they do and its AMAZing! Good customer service is everything.

I have never used this company or herd of them before, till I went on google and found them. I booked one of their vans in a very short period of time (Less than 2 weeks) for a weekend to see my nephew graduate. The rates I found them to be reasonable for the area and for the season which lots of conferences are still going. My reservation was on file and they had the van waiting for me. My family of 12 had a great time on the ride. The van was very clean. They provided ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE with my lease. I had to use their service and they gave me results. The employee and management when I returned made sure I told them everything that went wrong so they can address the issues if there was a need. I was very satisfied with how they handled my return. I would highly recommend them and use them again in the future.

I sincerely believe that Carls Van Rentals is very likely the best rental car company in the nation. I say this because when your customers call and reach our call center they are almost always pleasant and easy to work with. Based on dealing with other companies in your industry it is clear that Carls is a cut above in terms of customer service, reliability, and most importantly we know that you do not send a customer down the road in a rental vehicle that you know has a problem. Rented a 15 passenger van, everything went as explained with good customer communication.

TERRIBLE experience! When I made my reservations over the phone, the gal that took my call said she was new and would do her best. She did just fine but said she would leave a note for the office to call me back the next morning to ensure everything was correct. The rental agency NEVER called me back, so I finally called back to confirm our reservation. The only issue found was the van needed to be brought to the Orlando - Sanford airport. The agent told me this would not be a problem.When our flight arrived, I was told to call Carls Van Rentals and they would tell me where my van would be parked in long-term parking....I would use a lock box to open the van. GUESS WHAT - they cancelled my reservation!! Thats it - no help or apology! At this VERY busy time of the year (Christmas 2016) I was left trying to find another van rental from ANY one of the national car rentals.VERY UNHAPPY and would never trust renting from Carls Van Rentals in the future!

We rented an eight passenger van from Carls and were very pleased. It was basically new, large and spacious. Their staff was prompt, fun and very helpful. We had one small glitch in some paper work but they corrected that immediately and I wouldnt hesitate to use them again.

We rented a minvan from these guys for our familys Spring Break. The van was not clean, in fact, it was disgusting. We took it back to see if they could clean it better, but were not properly staffed for it. They offered us a very small discount, which did not make up for driving around in a filthy van all week. The price was right, but you get what you pay for.

Great Experience. Rented 4 15 passenger vans. They were prompt picking our drivers up at airport and when we returned them took us back to airport. Newer vans, well maintained, clean and most of them had full tanks of gas.Very fast in doing all the paperwork, gave us directions that were needed back to airport to pick up our teams, friendley and we will be back next year

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE! Their customer service is TERRIBLE, they do not care about their customers, their prices are the HIGHEST in the market and their rental policies are totally unfair. There are many many many competing rental agencies who offer better rates - do yourself and your family a favor and take your business elsewhere.

I genuinely want to give this company a higher rating, but there were just a few too many disappointments along the way to justify it.For starters if you are arriving after hours, they like to arrange everything ahead of time so that you can pick up the vehicle at the airport. Unfortunately the employee tasked with doing this for me struggled to clearly convey this objective on initial contact with an email message full of typos and in ALL CAPS. After hopping on the line with another employee, I was reassured that everything would be handled very professionally and securely.When I arrived at the airport and finally found the vehicle in the economy parking lot, the lock box was difficult to open and either didnt match the description I was given or wasnt very intuitive in how to open. Fortunately someone answered the phone when I called and walked me through it until I was able to retrieve the key and get on the road. I believe I was told that I would be reimbursed for any parking charge associated with this arrangement, but never was.The vehicle only had 1/4 tank when I picked it up, which was plenty to get me to our hotel for the night. However, when I returned the vehicle with 1/4 tank, there was no mention of any additional charges, but after we were dropped off at the airport, I saw that they charged us nearly $15 dollars for additional fuel, apparently because they said it was at 1/8 tank on drop off.The rates (before a few extra charges) seemed reasonable and most of the interactions were pleasant and professional, but in the end I was disappointed that it was such a hassle to pick up the car and that I was nickel and dimed. I would have preferred more transparency in the process with some form of written or verbal agreement on how much fuel was left in the tank (I would have gladly driven a few blocks down the road and put another couple of gallons if there was any dispute) and if they had reimbursed me for their after hours pick-up arrangement which was not only inconvenient, but a frustrating exercise in a dark parking lot, while my family waited at the airport.

I had a good experience with this company up until one of their employees decided to take advantage of my forgetting a couple of envelopes in the van. I called the day after I dropped the van over to see if someone was able to find my cards. The guy who picked up told me the van had been cleaned and if any items were found it would be in the lost and found. He then looked and found nothing. Because of the meaning and importance of these items to me I called back and begged the guy at the store to please check on the dash of the vehicle as that was the place that I think I left it and see if there was anything there. He said he was about to close up the store and he would look on his way out and would call me if anything was found. He never called.... My mistake clearly was telling the guy on the phone that there was a gift card in the envelope because the next day my dad needed to pick up my aunt from the airport and he knowing how important these items were for me stopped by the office to asked the people if they had found anything in person. He tells me that even in person they were all denying having seen anything. Then they looked in the Trash can and there the previously sealed envelopes were opened and mutilated. And what more the $25 dollar gift card that had been in one of them nowhere to be found. My dad asked them after digging through their trashcan to find the cards where was the gift card that had been with the cards...and still denial. Finally, someone turned up with the gift card. I AM DONE with this company. Customer service is very important to me and this company is as bad as they get when it comes to customer service. I do not recommend this company for a van rental until they prove that they care about the customers they take money from. I am putting my efforts into having the employees who tried to steal my belongings suspended or for the very least my money back. And I will keep everyone updated on whether or not the company has put any effort to rectifying this situation.

If you plan to get the SUPER SAVER VAN, look the other way and rent else were. Van looks decent on the outside but the inside is dirty, smells like mold and has black marks from ceiling to floor rugs. It doesnt have a foot step for passengers to get it and out comfortably, creating falling hazards, which happened to us, and doesnt have a holding handle on the sides, in order to get on it for support. The website states its safe reliable and clean, and well maintained and that the interior is not perfect. Everything is true except the fact that the inside is NOT CLEAN. Even the seatbelts were dirty from too to bottom. Posted pictures you can see its utterly disgusting. Traveling in the afternoon, with an infant and 3 children and 7 adults does not make it anymore convenient to go back and wait for more paperwork or wait to get another van. Just simply would not rent again. Also never explained over the phone that we needed to have our insurer information in order to rent out a van in their location. False advertising, and lack of knowledge for employees who dont give information to customers when booking a rental. Only positive thing they have, is a shuttle for pickup and drop off from airport.

Only reason we came here is because they agreed to pick our 18 group party from the airport. Once they came they complained about making 2 trips because their van only heals 12 people. Once we got the vans they gave us a 12 passenger with broken blinkers and a 10passanger with a bad tire. On the day to drop the vans off we sat outside the door waiting 20min because they had a sign posted Gone to the Airport we will return in 15min. My party travels twice a year and this will be the 1st and LAST time we ever do business with this company.
