As a new mom with a 6 month old who has reallymissed going to the gym, I couldn’t say enough good things about this one. The child care staff is outstanding... every single one! You can tell they must be picky with who they hire because they are great young adults who are awesome with the kids and keep up with them. They are always friendly and make me feel comfortable putting my child in their hands! This gym is definitely worth the price you pay for the membership. There is so much you can do with their outdoor swim area for the kids to a whole spa! The staff is incredibly always on top of things with cleanliness. The managers are super friendly as well. Signing up was easy with Angelica she showed me everything and was eager to answer any questions I had. I would definitely call and ask for her if you’re thinking about joining this gym. She was professional, kind and in my opinion lifetime is lucky to have her as an employee. I want to thank lifetime fitness in Orland 100x for allowing me to get my health back on track with having a newborn. You guys make everyone feel so welcomed there for all ages and give me a comfortable environment to workout in that I’ve never found at any other gym I have been to. The amenities you offer are outstanding and I was so impressed by all of your staff. Keep up the great work.
Nice and clean fitness center. Besides the finesse machines they have free weights here as well. All of the equipment is in abundance. There is no need to worry about a chance to use the type of equipment that you want!! I recently joined and today was my first visit! It is officially on!!
I’ve been a member here for many many years. Prices just keep rising and rising. Lifetime would take in many people that sometimes would cause trouble on the property especially near the basketball courts which made the place feel unsafe. The place is clean but not as clean as you would expect for the price you pay. This place should be a $50-$60 a month max membership not the over $70 it has now become. Staff is nice and can not complain about them but the whole place feels like they are always trying to sell you over priced things. No great value in the foods and services they offer you. The one in burr ridge is really nice but memberships over there are even more. This place should grand father older members in more especially ones that do not use the facility every day like others. Not everyone uses all the services the gym provides. I mainly use the steam room, sauna, hot tubs, and pools. Paying what I pay to use those amenities and as sparingly as I do is allot. Just wish the prices would come down to be more of a great bang for your buck because as of now they are getting more out of me than I am from them. You also can not straight cancel. You get charged the following months fee. The pools, steam room, sauna, hot tubs, locker rooms, and showers need updating. Where is all the money going?
Beware of thieves there. I had my locker broken into there and they stole my credit cards. Amazing is that the locker was locked just the way I left it. Kind enough to leave my wallet and cash. I filed a police report and the officer mentioned it has happen there before. Then they tried to charge $11,264 to the Jared Galleria.
My son had a three hour birthday party there and he had a blast. His host Megan was so nice and helpful along with the other host. The boys really enjoyed swimming in the pool and playing basketball on the full court. My son bragged about it being his best birthday party.
Omg what a great place. My gym was closed on a Sunday, I really needed a workout, I was desperate. I walked in and was greeted by Jessica, so sweet, so helpful, hooked me up with a guest pass, amazing customer service. Place is super clean, great equipment. Absolutely love. Thank you so much!
Best gym Im Orland hands down. Great for a family, especially with young kids, drop em off for a little while, go upstairs, then swim. Very clean staff is great
Friendly and helpful staff that truly care about their clients. Very clean facility. Really good selection of workout equipment. Fun and challenging classes!
2 years ago I used to have fun coming to the gym lifting and playing basketball, but ever since Covid hit this gym has been miserable. The basketball gym is overcrowded, there is no deep end in the swimming pool, and a few employees I have seen being very rude to customers, overall I would recommend going elsewhere
The life gard treat the people very nice in respectthe Lifetime Fitness its clean and huge and perfect and this life gard lynn denn its very nice with my kids and other kids
Been a member for a couple of years now, the gym has a great selection of equipment and the manager John and the cleaning staff do a great job of keeping the place clean and organized. However theres a trainer there in the early morning who likes to follow me around when Im on the floor, its uncomfortable to workout when you have a creeper that cant mind his business and its borderline harassment, I Ive mentioned it to the manager but yet this guy is still doing it.
This is a great gym it’s clean and the staff is courteous there are lots of new professional workout equipment, classes, a steam room, a sauna, two pools, and fresh clean towels, worth the cost of membership.
We have been members at life time in Orland park for close to two years. When we first joined lifetime it was a great place to workout, good family atmosphere. The past 6-8 month the gym has become more crowded especially in the afternoons so a workout after work is impossible. The upstairs has groups of people just hanging around talking around the machine. Trying to use weights or any of the machine up stairs will take you about 30-45 min just to get a turn. The basketball courts are packed. Swimming pool is ok. Hot tubs are crowded. Sauna is crowded and it’s about 35min wait due to the limited capacity. After talking to multiple people at the gym thinking that they are members come to find out they are not members and they just walk in with other people when checking in. Day care hours are terrible 8AM to noon and from 4PM to 8PM. Our kids are in school in the AM and in the afternoon it is pointless to go because there is no way to get a workout in. Day care hours are different from other lifetime facilities and the time are acceptable and reasonable. This place is drawing the wrong crowds in, fight are breaking out in the gym, cops are roaming the parking lot, and today 3-19-21 multiple cars have been broken into by breaking the windows. I personally think that this place will not last much longer before shutting down. The only reason that I am writing this review is because I am paying around $180.00, not including the money spent at the lifetime cafe, and others are able to just walk in without having to pay a single dime and receive the same service that I do with paying a single dime.
Basketball floor should be cleaned daily. Communication can be better. There should always be a basketball court available. If I am a paying member I should be able to come to the gym and have confidence that the service I am paying for will be available.
Love the newer options for cardio and strength training. A place the kids can go while we train is idea at this stage. Enjoyed the hot tubs....
Excellent service. I absolutely love the classes.
Great gym to be a member of. I noticed that the Lifetime chain changes management and sales employees often. Pricing is insane in my opinion, but you do get what you pay for, for the most part. Im glad this this place gym is normal during the pandemic. Lifetime treats people normally even through the pandemic.
Nice updated equipment, clean lockers and towels, Pool water needs to get better and clearer, little kids playing in the lap pool where they shouldnt be. Too many guys lifting in front of the dumbbells watching themselves in the mirror and blocking access to the rest of the equipment. Shower water smells funny.
Clean and friendly, you feel safe going there. Outdoor activities are the best!
This place is awesome. They have tons of very good workout equipment. A relaxing place to do your work outs.
Still have COVID hours for deep cleaning, which truly is not going on. I get there right when they open at 4am and stations are still full of used wipes which tells me no deep cleaning been going on. This is every day when I get in right when they open with the new hours.Lifetime needs to go back to full hours, they are just cutting costs with COVID hours. The gym is crowded when open and staff is light, plus place needs major updates. They don’t have multiple stations for poplar workout machines. Really thinking of leaving.
The best staycation ever! Resort style experience!
Its crowded, you need to go back to the same hours as before, the 24hr gym is the gym i signed up for and there are many other 24 hr gyms out there.i stuck it out so far because i like the gym and the staff but at this point my family and i are about to bounce. 24 hrs is what im paying for. i get off of work late and it is impossible to have a decent work out when the gym closes at 11pm- thats 2/3 of the promised time in the contract i signed. im getting 2/3 of the product im contracted to receive.the 5 stars is to show there is no malice i just want the hours back or change the monthly cost and reimburses for all the lost services
Love this gym! They have everything you can want. My family of 4 can all work on fitness. There is something for everyone.
Its alright some of the workers are very slow. With messed up attitudes. But the set up of the place is wonderful.
It’s been a downhill club for a while, they renovated but equipment is still dirty. Way too overcrowded as a club. Constantly increasing price for whatever reason, and do not let you know about these price increases. Pool area is the nicest part.
It’s one of the best places that you have to go to stay fit and to relax. It’s big, clean and the people who work there are professional and polite. It really a good gym in the our area . I highly recommend it
Visited today from out of town while waiting for my car to get repaired. This Life Time is exactly like the one in Flower Mound, Texas except everythings backwards. Love the indoor and outdoor pools, whirlpool, steam, clean locker room, towel service. Had a yummy sandwich at the cafe. Friendly people. Definitely recommend this place.
Great amenities, friendly staff. Could use some more attention to cleanliness. Also I wish they would install shower doors instead of yucky curtains
I’ve been a member fir only 2 weeks and find their sign-up web site unfriendly or not working. Not all classes are offered throughout the the day except swimming and I find this very inconvenient and a waste of my money since that is not why I joined! Basically I have been frustrated and unhappy with my experience!!
Locker rooms are clean & towels always stocked. Pools are clean & kept well.
Don’t trust this gym the take money from my card with out promotions so watch ur card
Go back to 24 hr, planet and xport open 24 hr, so no excuses
Yeah it’s got it’s flaws it’s a gym with stereotypical gym buffs doing what they do. Regardless of that, I’ve been living out of state 4 years now and I can finally get my membership back. By far my favorite gym.. it’s much more than exercise. I find it a new hobby to swim or just at least enjoy the steam room while you watch Marcus Theater’s looking like a Kmart’s parking lot that closed in the 90s. Usually A consistent crowd you’ll be able to tell when the main workout times are for most people.
They should definitely crack down on people not wearing masks and have more trash bins and sanitizer around the machines to help clean them. I also do not believe that the temperature gauges when you first walk in are that accurate. Just my opinion. Other than that Lifetime is great.
Always clean, staff is friendly. Machines are nicely spaced. I love the pools, they are gorgeous. Especially the outdoor one...lots of kids though!!!!
Best gym I’ve ever been to... great people, good equipment, good service
I love this gym and given the circumstances with everything going on Im really impressed with how theyre handling it. Employees have been wearing masks and they are enforcing gym members to wear a mask to and from workout stations which I think helps. The only problem I have is that for the price they charge they really dont offer enough PM classes. On Thursdays and Fridays the latest classes are around 4:30 pm and on weekends they only offer AM classes. I just dont know if its worth the money when you work a 9-5 job during the week and have stuff to do weekend mornings. I hope they open up more PM classes soon.
The need to get back to 24/7 this is what we signed up for. If planet fitness and other gyms can do it then you can as well.
Been a long time member but amenities have been scaled down over time (limited availability of water slides, rock wall, etc) and kids don’t like going there anymore as child center is usually half open due to a staffing problem.Good equipment and polite people. My kids learned how to swim here and the instructors were awesome. As the kids got older they didn’t want to go so I scaled down my membership to myself. I now cancelled and am going to my Park District to work out. Less crowded and less expensive. Less amenities but I don’t mind.
I like lifetime in general, its a high end gym but theyre also very expensive. This can be seen as good or bad thing. Not for everyone
Great place its always clean and staff is very friendly
Top notch facility, plenty of room to use all the equipment, plenty of towels throughout.
The facilities are awesome and they have everything you could possibly want to get a good workout.
They are taking big advantage of covid-19 pandemic to close very early and take the same fee from the customers.go back to 24/7 and be honest with your customers.
Not alot of covid19 protocols being followed at this facility
If you’re a college student don’t pay full price, they have a $10 a month for students. They just don’t advertise it!(They will try to say you can only go during winter/spring break/holidays but they never used to say anything to me when I’d go) but now I’m at planet fitness because too many creeps are at lifetime and it’s always super crowded during the day.
Great services, friendly staff. 5 stars.
This place is heaven on earth. They watch my kids. I work out. Its great.
Had a wonderful time
Too many ppl walking around unmasked that were not actively working out..Love the gym otherwise
One of the best of the south suburbs
The showers in the mens locker room are totally ridiculous theres no water pressure coming out of any other shower heads.. especially in the handicap one also Im handicap???
Joel In the cafe is amazing ! Always have a positive attitude, friendly vibe, and welcoming. This is definitely someone to have at life time fitness.
Great place
This is a very clean customer oriented facility with activities for the entire family. It would receive 5 stars if Rock climbing was open more often. The staff is very helpful and the nutritionist is caring and knowledgeable. You will find what you need to reach your health goals.
Worst customer service at any gym I have been to. Jaber tried to scam me and my brother for $72. Extremely rude as well. Saw we were younger, and tried to take advantage of us. Called someone else a few hours later and everything was resolved.
Love this place. My family and I can definitely make a day of this place during summer.
The tv in the locker room was set to CNN. Very disappointing. Trump 2012
They have everything! This had become my families new night out place. We play sports, rock climb, go swimming, take classes, etc. Because of this place, Im now getting into Yoga! Oh, and my 1 year old loves the daycare. Love this place!
Great place, dry sauna, wet sauna, and hot tub are key
Fitness is the sickness every one needs the get behind
Great atmosphere great service
Joel In the cafe is amazing ! Always have a positive attitude, friendly vibe, and welcoming. This is definitely someone to have at life time fitness.
Excellent facilities..very clean and safe in this time of COVID-19.
Horrible service, especially from Jaber. Fire that guy immediately
Given current circumstances the club was not near as busy as it would normally be. Members and staff were wearing masks or some type of face covering and hand sanitizer was readily available. It felt good to workout with my son again.
Charges the same rates as when they were 24 hours, but isnt anymore.
I scheduled an appointment for a tour and was greeted by Mike who was extremely energetic, respectful, polite and overall just a great help! He explained everything to us from A to Z and answered all of our questions with clarity and overall extreme satisfaction. I signed up my family on the spot and so glad I did. My family loves going to this gym. The staff is amazing . Id like to thank Jason, who was so kind to give us towels to use as it was pouring rain outside and we had to get to our car. He ran to bring us towels to cover our heads from the storm raining down on us and with four kids that is not easy! Thank you Jason for your quick thinking! Another big thanks to Liz, the swimming instructor, who so generously allowed my son to participate in her swimming class alongside other members .My son was ecstatic to be amongst caring adults and Liz made him feel very welcomed and I honestly cant thank her enough. Everyone at this gym so far has been extremely welcoming and helpful to my kids and I. We are delighted to have joined this establishment and look forward to taking advantage of all it has to offer! Thank you Life Time fitness Orland Park!
This place is awesome.
Could LIVE here. amazing food and space for all types of exercise
Love the 8am yoga class on Saturdays!
Glad to be back, very safe.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would but google does not allow me to. I feel so unsafe being here, especially in the parking lot. Plenty of my family members cars have gotten broken into as well as hit and yet lifetime can not do anything about it and show no help whatsoever. You would think a company this big would at least have decent cameras in their parking lot, especially when paying $80/month, where does all this money go to??!
Great amenities, friendly staff.
Great gym
Life Time may pride itself on having a nice facility with many amenities but many of the personnel there are very snooty and seem comfortable being openly racist. No way is this gym worth the money. Disgusted.
I have mixed feelings about the club and its company goals. The club itself is great and has a wide variety of amenities. However as much as they look like they care, Im not sure they truly put the customer first before the money as you can see in other reviews. Reason being that I pay for 2 accounts and find their guest policy to be greedy for lack of a better word. First what I truly dont like is the part of the policy not allowing guests after 9. They also only give you 4 passes and thats fine but you cant bring the same guest more than once within that month cycle. I understand the ideal customer may not be my guests coming in after that time (because they do reach out to them) but its about me and its not busy around those times. Its just simply uncessary to impose so many limits when this policy can be modified per location. Ideally Id like to stay but not even my rep nor a manager has responded so just right there you can tell they dont care for you as a customer. I went ahead and canceled both my memberships. Visiting LA since its the closest thing to Lifetime with the exception that theyre actually striving for customer satisfaction.
Quite impressed with this location as an all-rounder fitness center. I take advantage of all amenities here, e.g. basketball court, swimming/hot tub/sauna/steam rooms, fitness classes and delicious food in cafe; have barely had a chance to hit the weights yet. Looking forward to rock climbing and spa services next. The vibrant atmosphere, bright lights, and cheerful looking members here helped uplift my gloomy mood; especially during shorter sunlight, cloudy, cold days of the upcoming winter. I can spend several hours here on my laptop doing work after my workouts due to the positive environment.Being open 24/7 even on weekends suits my schedule well. I met the manager of this location who was extremely welcoming and easily approachable.
Very bad customer service !I cancelled my membership since march and when everything re-opened after they charged my card again in July even tho i went to them a million time !!!!I can’t believe it if you say clearly i dont want to keep it why do you still charge my card !!!! What should i do more than talking to you on the phone and coming personally to your gym a million time !My card was charged AGAIN this month !!! Fraud !!!!!!!
First class club...great amenities and friendly staff...the outdoor pool is fantastic!!
I had so much fun there staff was great swimming teacher kind sweet I would go back there to have swimming lessons
I love this place the staff is great, everything is clean, the pool is lovely.
Wow never ever ever seen a gym so clean and staff that actually clean. Awesome place
Wouldnt recommend for the following: For Covid prevention, this gym closed the basketball court at 5pm. There are so many things within this place for this virus to exists on, the weight floor. How is the court prioritized over the many workout machines. They followed up in January 21 by closing the court temporarily. Mind you, I only got a membership here to hoop yet Im still expected to pay my membership for the following month. Paying the same price for less gym access, weird leverage. And with Covid going on, if it mattered so much to them, why is it that you asks people to come in person to cancel their membership if the virus is the issue. The place is okay, but I can pay $10 at Planet Fitness for the same equipment at this point.
Today was a horrible day for me and and my son. Unfortunately the gym LifeTime Fitness that I used to love and told all my family and friends to join disappointed me. We went to swim in the outside pool which was busy since its hot. All kids were jumping and my son jumped in too. An adult man hit him in his head because he jumped next to him. My son 4 years old told him you hit me. The man responded told him you hit me first and walked away ignoring him. I followed him and told him excuse me you hit my son. He just ignored me and kept reading his book like nothing happened. I complained to the life guard and called the manager. I told him I wanna call the police. They called them and they came to me and my freind who saw everything. They asked us what happened and we told them. Even my son and other kids told them. They went to him and spoke to him but never arrested him or kicked him at least from the gym. They then came to me and said the video doesnt show anything and they cant do anything to him. I asked to see the video but they refused and said this is a private property so we cant do that. I then canceled my membership. I left feeling very disappointed at the gym and at myself that I couldnt protect my son. Lifetime Fitness Orland Park IL
Do NOT sign up! They only care about money - HORRIBLE customer service! My husband and I have essentially been donating money to this gym for years. We had memberships we werent using, so we eventually put our memberships on hold for $10 a month. They dont tell you that your membership will automatically go back to the full amount. READ FINE PRINT because they purposely withhold this information. THE WORST PART... My husband went in, cancelled our on-hold memberships. He remembers the woman that cancelled our memberships, can explain what she looks like perfectly, AND Lifetime admitted that this employee no longer works for them. Turns out she DID NOT cancel our membership. We TRUSTED THEIR STAFF to do a simple task, and instead, we were charged for 4 additional months. Thats $450 they took from us, when we NEVER went to the gym, and believed our memberships to be cancelled. Even though Lifetime knows the staff member that lied to us - they did NOTHING to refund our money. Had us call corporate, who also did NOTHING. TAKE YOUR MONEY AND JOIN SOMEWHERE THAT CARES ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!! Weve had wonderful experiences thus far at Orange Theory Fitness.
I went into the Lifetime fitness at Orland park yesterday at 8:50pm to let them know that I want to bring a guest who lost his way and was coming back to the place and the lady at the front desk was fine with that and she said I can wait and make him sign in when he reaches. But at 9:01 pm an account manager named “Jose Gonzalez” came up to the front desk and in a rude way said that he cannot come in anymore! I was like that is the reason I came early and asked if he can come and the nice lady at the front desk already said I can. But he did not allow and just walked away. The customer service was real bad! Like we pay to go to the gym and the way he talked seemed like I was asking a favor from him! And he also said if I want he can sign him up for a membership, just so that he can have more enrollments under his name and get a promotion maybe!!
This club has removed all evening free classes - they have no free classes after 6:45pm, so if you work and like to do a yoga class or group class in the evening this is not the club for you. All evening fitness classes are specialized and come at an additional charge. They use to have excellent yoga classes which kept me coming back but they have removed many of these classes. Since the classes are gone, I agree with a previous post that there are less expensive gyms that offer the same equipment.
Very clean and friendly club
Just signed up for the gym again after years and had a free session with a trainer. My trainer Patrick has been extremely detailed and attentive to every aspect of my workouts and diet. First month training with him ive lost 10 lbs and completely reshaped my mid section. I don’t normally write reviews but this gym deserves one.
I just joined lifetime and was so excited to step up my weight-lifting game. However, I was so shocked to witness how many members leave their weights stacked on the bars or their dumbbells all over the floor. I’ve been to many gyms in my life and never witnessed such rude, careless, arrogant clientele in that weight room. It’s $75/month for me to clean up after other people to lift and walk around the weight room to find matching dumbbells because no one puts them back.
I have always loved my work out here. The equipment is clean & crispy. Staff if nice. Absolutely recommended!
Never clean, rude service, hidden fees, always packed and no one cleans after theyre done.
Great for kids while adults work out.
Disclaimer: I LOVE LIFETIME AND RECOMMEND it however..All I have to say is LEVELS. Im not sure if Im spoiled or not coming from an Onyx Premier club in Princeton, NJ but this location is NOT it. We came to Chicago for the holidays and our kids were super excited to see this location due to the indoor water slide.(which wasnt running). The first thing I noticed is when you walk in the carpet is lifting so I dang near face planted. The location also didnt feel the cleanest. The set up of the entire building didnt quite make sense... EVERYTHING was outdated. Old equipment, old showers,& dark lighting. The staff seemed alright.. until I overheard a group of them talking about how they hate working there. The kids Academy was a total rip off since 1/2 of it was closed..In closing, I pray to GOD nobody at this location pays anywhere near the amount my family pays!! (There wasnt a hot tub in the locker room which was irritating) We ended up leaving early because of the gloomy environment.
I’m a veteran with very bad knees. I explained this to the rep as he was signing me up for membership in early 2016. First class was boot camp. Not good for my knees. Got home & was in so much pain. Had to go to the doctor and discovered pulled muscles that developed into sciatica. Did not go back to Lifetime because of the pain and I had to go to therapy. I did not inform Lifetime because I was hoping to improve and return. That was back in April 2016. Since that date, I have not returned and Lifetime continued to access my bank account taking out their monthly payment. Not one time did anyone at Lifetime bother to see why I was no longer attending the class or coming to the gym (quite a bit of money taken from my account and still to this day no follow up from a staff member on my attendance or well-being). I know I should have called; but, I didn’t and nor did I complain because I thought I would return and therefore continued allowing Lifetime to access my bank account. In November 2018, my bank card was compromised and the bank switched my bank card out (the same card on file with Lifetime). In December 2018, I started receiving harassing emails practically daily with the threat of Collection Action. I called and spoke with several different individuals and not one person would assist me. Their only concern was to get that money and to access my account! No one cared about my well being - just wanted the money! I explained what happened and they did not care! They talked about “reducing” the payment and/or membership amount! I could not believe I was actually still trying to talk to these people!! Fast forward: I hate that they treated me this way! I was going to return, I just needed to get better physically. I was told that I would need a doctor’s note to get out of the contract - still no care about my well-being. If I could rate them a minus star I would! Never will I come back to this place and I will never recommend them!
