I called Mr. Key on a Saturday to help me get into my locked van. The person who answered said they would have a technician call me back with pricing and availability. After 2 hours, I called back and asked when the technician would be calling me. He said he would have someone call me right back, which they did. I explained my problem and that my van probably needed a new key cylinder. The technician said he needed to check with his boss on pricing for that and would call me right back. He never did. Hopefully they are more responsive during the week. I have access to other vehicles so my situation wasnt an emergency but I cant imagine dealing with them if it was.

Alright… the first guys over at Bob’s showed up… took the car gauges apart… never came back or called back. So I called Mr. Key. And despite Bob’s lock guy breaking my gauges they managed to get a new key programmed and get the car started.I would recommend them over any other locksmith! They did a great job and were super friendly and professional the entire time.If you have any key issues, definitely have the guys at Mr. Key take care of it for you!

A little more expensive than I thought but great friendly service, fast, cool people.

I hired Mr Key Locksmith to come out and unlock my Ford truck. I was hoping that I had left my keys inside. However upon opening my truck I still was unable to find them. The Locksmith that came out cut me another key for a lot cheaper then what it would have been for me to tow my vehicle into the dealer and have them do it. ( Ive never used a locksmith before so I called around first to see what my options were and the dealer recommended these guys) Thanks again for coming and helping me out!

I needed a locksmith to come to my home in Orem as I had lost all my keys. After they changed my locks I asked about programming me a new car key as the dealer wanted $750 which I felt was pretty extreme but its a brand new vehicle so I wasnt sure what was reasonable. These guys had to order the key but only charged $495. Very pleased with all the jobs performed and the locksmith was nice and very informative.

They came quick and got our keys out with zero damage to the car. My wife was having a rough day and to add to it she locked the keys in the car at the post office so we couldn’t very well leave it overnight. We couldn’t find any extra keys so, we just called and they came quick! Thanks!

I need to tell whomever reads this review that this company took amazing care of me and my needs. Dash was the tech that came over to mt house, made my jeep working minutes and was extreemly friendly.I called a different locksmith and they wanted to charge me $250.00.I only had $125, with no help from friends or family.I then called Mr. Key Locksmith and he helped me with no hesitation. Very understanding and helpful, my key was made and was finished within 20 min.I will FOREVER use their company and refer them to ANYONE who might need their help!! Called around for someone in Orem to change my locks and found this place. They arrived on-time and gave me several different options which I ended up opting to buy my own.

I was visiting family in Orem and lost my car keys and didnt know if a locksmith could help or if I needed to tow my vehicle to the dealer. So I began calling around some locksmiths were unable to help and said to go to the dealership. But then I found Mr Key and they came to me and made me a new key without an existing copy, they were fast, affordable and nice!

They made a car key copy for me including programming. I purchased my own key online and researched Orem locksmiths near me. Surprisingly not many locksmiths would program car keys unless they supplied the key. This place was the only one I could find that would help me. They were pleasant to work with and will use them in the future.

They installed some deadbolts and house locks as well as re-keyed some of my existing door locks. Also, had them copy a car key and program it for my wifes car. They were fast, fair, and I called a few Orem locksmiths who I debated between these guys and the other but went with these guys because they had the car key in stock.

I was locked out of my car in Orem due to me losing my keys. The dealership said I needed to bring the car to them which wasnt really possible since I was locked out. The locksmith arrived quickly and unlocked the car, we were talking about how I needed a tow truck to take my vehicle to the dealer and the locksmith explained they could program a new key. I was looking for an Orem locksmith service provider and found Mr Key. They were one of the closest locksmiths near me that didnt just service Utah County meaning they were actually local and not from another city like American Fork.I was very cautious due to all the locksmiths in the news and researched them on the BBB which I am glad I did because the first locksmith I was going to call had 6 complaints over the last couple of years. Mr Key unlocked my home, rekeyed my locks, and installed a new deadbolt on my back door.The smart lock they installed has some issues but is my own fault because I bought it off of Ebay and didnt realize that it wasnt a USA lock I was originally going to have it installed on my front door but after he informed me of the issue I decided to put it on my back door and buy a new smart lock for the front door later.They werent the cheapest locksmith I called but I felt the others I called werent being honest because when I tried to get an exact or said is that all they kept repeating starting at or it depends on the door and I had to ask if they charged a service call fee which they told me but they didnt want to. I am glad I chose Mr Key Locksmith in Orem.

Purchased a home in Orem, UT and was planning on changing the locks I had problems with my last residence with the previous tenant I never imagined someone would do that.So originally called them to replace my locks based on their locksmith deals page it sounded reasonable. When the locksmith arrived he gave me the option to rekey the locks or replace them. I had no idea what a rekey was so I asked and he explained it changes the lock to fit a different key which would prevent access to any previous people with keys.I decided to rekey the front door and garage door as they were pretty nice looking locks. But the back door lock looked beat up and was gold so I had them replace it to match the other two doors.Mr Key Locksmiths pros and cons of hiring themThey were affordable I called around 3 other locksmiths in Orem and they were about in the middle. However, the ones quoting low wouldnt give me an exact price and were pushy to get my address without answering questions.As far as time, I was okay with scheduling this job out a couple of days but they offered to send a tech over right away. I choose to meet them later that afternoon and they arrived at the scheduled time.The lock for the backdoor was a slight different color and I mentioned it before he installed it and he offered to go get a new one or I could go purchase one while he worked on the other doors. I opted to use the slightly off color it was just a lighter brushed nickel lock and for their special deal it was worth using.When it came time to square up payment the locksmith gave me the total and I was surprised because I was anticipating a service call fee on top of what they quoted which made the service even lower than I anticipated.He mentioned while they were at my house that other repairs or replacements would be less since they dont have travel time and expenses. I had him look an interior door lock to our cold storage because you had to jiggle the key to unlock it. He oiled the lock up and seemed to take care of the problem and there was no additional charge.Overall I am very satisfied with the work performed, honesty, and how affordable the service ended up being. I wasnt thinking but I am going to have to call them again to make me a spare car key I was stuck on my home mentality.
