Rented a GoPro Hero 9 from them for a vacation trip. I reserved it in advance online and the process was easy and smooth. The employees hooked me up with all the bells and whistles for it. Overall great experience and was great to shoot some footage on vacation! I’ll be back for sure. Thx Guys.

No better rental house in Utah. In fact, it’s so competitive, I’ve rented gear and had it shipped all the way to North Carolina. It serves me on the Mr. beast YouTube channel very well. I will be using red finch until I put a camera down for good. Even then, I might rent some thing just for fun

Always a great experience, besides one order that did not get processed properly because the staff didn’t want to take the order over the phone, and I ended up without my rental because the website wasn’t working.

Great prices and staff for pro video gear rental

As the owner of a video-centered business, I’ve rented many times from Red Finch and every experience has been fantastic. They have a huge selection of every kind of camera gear imaginable and their prices are super reasonable. I used to rent elsewhere, but now I never go anywhere else. All the staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Plus, free T-shirts and after enough rentals, a free jacket as well. What more could you want?

Updated: Rented a directors monitor bundle from Red Finch. The monitor did not work. 3 cinematographers were unable to get the teradeck to pair using the given monitor or a separate monitor we had. We looked up many different articles and videos to trouble shoot it, but it still did not work. Upon the return they couldnt get the monitor to work and said they would look into it more later. They later messaged me saying that they were able to turn on the monitor (did not explain what they did), but they did offer me store credit. The associate that helped me was very nice about it. It just caused some issues for the shoot.

Red Finch is a beautiful sight to see in Utah valley for the aspiring or true cinematographer. Love their professionalism and their people skills as well. 10/10 recommend.

I will never rent from anywhere else, they have fair prices a good amount of inventory and you can pick-up at one location and drop-off at the other if you need to. Best rental house in Utah hands down.

Ive rented from Red Finch Rentals a few times. They have amazing prices and very convenient locations in SLC and Utah County. Everyone seems knowledgeable in their equipment and its very painless to pick up and drop off gear. They will also throw ya free stuff. Its usually hats, shirts, and water bottles. Its always a pleasure renting from them.

Red Finch has always been easy and great to work with and rent from. Theyve even drove down to where ever the shoot was to replace an item that didnt work or was faulty. They always throw in some swag as well every time I rent from them. And theyre prices are always the best by far.

Helpful and accommodating staff, tons of gear and good prices. I dont look anywhere else when Im putting together shoots. And the best t-shirts. Seriously. Their shirts are for whatever reason some of the most comfortable tees I own.

I cant say enough good things about Red Finch Rental. Theyve literally taken the rental model that already existed, identified the things that werent working and fixed them making it much easier and more pleasant to rent for both the big and small projects. They know their equipment well. They are awesome to work with and are constantly going above and beyond to make sure their customers needs are being met. They have a location in Orem as well as in SLC. They have some cool photo studio spaces as well that you can use for your shoots.If youre even remotely curious, you should stop by and talk to someone there and see what they have.

I don’t rent from anyone else. The people who work there aren’t minimum wage nut jobs, they are professionals. The rentals are completely reasonable. They have excellent equipment. What more do you want? A free t shirt? Well they do that too.

Weve always had great experiences working with Red Finch. One of my employees does photography for our business and she occasionally needs to rent equipment for certain projects. Red Finch always comes through and they are always easy for me to work with when I pay the invoices for those rentals.

I love this place. When I discovered it in 2018, it was still fairly small. They were helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable....unlike other stores in the area.Now, they have some of my favorite cameras and lenses, other video equipment I use as much as I can. They are continually adding stuff as well.....plus I got a free t-shirt and who doesnt love that.

I scheduled to rent a lens with them a few weeks in advance and they didn’t ship it to Orem from their Salt Lake location. I had a time sensitive photoshoot and needed that lens, and it complicated my day trying to juggle things around. I tried calling the day before pickup and the morning of to confirm details as I’d never rented with them before, and not once was able to get through. It was frustrating, and I won’t be renting from here again.

Awesome experience! Came in looking for a lens very last second. Was treated respectfully and professionally and was given a FREE T SHIRT! Awesome place! Definitely my new go to for rentals.

Bought a camera from them on eBay. They took my money, never shipped the camera, then ignored my messages. After that, the refund bounced from their bank twice, and it wasnt until Paypal stepped in that I was refunded my money, over three weeks later. Avoid if possible.

My wife and I rented for the first time here last weekend and everyone was very kind and welcoming. The equipment we rented was clean and well taken care of. We will for sure be back to rent more!

The website was being funny on my end making it seem like items weren’t available but actually were. I called in and they were very helpful in what was available and any time I’ve rented everyone in the store has been able to answer my questions

They helped our production out in a jam when the other place the director made a reservation with turned out to not have the equipment he requested.The owner and his staff are really nice and easy to work with! Their location is also great, just right around the corner from the freeway! I will definitely go to them again and recommend them to others!

The employee who was there had no idea what they were talking about. I’m a novice when it comes to camera stuff so I needed some guidance, but I didn’t get any. When I dropped off the equipment I rented there were other employees there who I am sure would have been able to help me. If you are a rookie when it comes to this kind of stuff, cross your fingers you have knowledgeable people in-store. If you know what your doing it seems like a great place to get stuff.

This is Pepsi of film rentals. When talking about rentals for a project you may hear/say Is Red Finch okay?That is not because this is a bad place its a good place to get rentals. But just that, its good not great.If you want quality lighting gear go to UFP it may be a bit cheaper here but thats because you may not get everything in your package. I rented some sky panels and the box came with no other forms of diffusion or snapgrid. Just the light and the cables. On a worse occasion someone reserved allot of Quasar tubes for our shoot and when we went to pick them up allot of them were missing according to the employee. We had to go up to Salt Lake to grab more from a different rental house.Ive heard this place also is good for camera gear. But Ive also heard of getting cinema lenses with chocolate all over them. Ive heard great things about Mystery Box but never personally rented through them.It just seems to be a joke that you may get on set see someone looking into a case wonder where a missing piece to something is and then hear someone else say, Well thats Red Finch for ya.Once let me say, this place is good. But there are other great rental shops near by.

Last minute lens rental, helped talk to me about my needs before jumping in and selecting one, and I was in and out of the door in less than 5 minutes. They don’t have an early/late drop box, however they were willing to work with me and just allowed me to drop it off a little later. These guys aren’t in it for the $ and really just care about their customers. Thank you so much!

I only rent grip and electric equipment from Red Finch so you camera department people should take this with a grain of salt.I cant remember the last time Red Finch got my rental order right. They dont really carry industry standard equipment - and what they do carry always seems to be in disrepair. I cant remember a time where I rented a light from them that had a head feeder that didnt have to tape *just right* in order for it to work.That said, their prices are cheap.

They went out of their way to take care of me even though I returned the rental a little late. They were great on the phone and in person.

Ive only rented from here once but when I needed camera equipment I found this place and they were so amazing. I was shooting the lantern festival and needed a better sensor then what my camera had to offer so I looked into Pictureline because thats what my dad always used and found this place. It was right down the road from where I lived so we went and checked it out. They helped me get the camera and lenses that I needed and gave me a good deal for the time frame that I needed it for. Then when I brought it back, I showed the photo and the guy told me that I should be charging more because it was so good. I really appreciated it! If I need camera equipment again I will for sure come here.
