I got my nails done here for my wedding and they were amazing. She took her time and ensured my nails looked the way I described.

I got a pedicure here a few months ago… The lady was VERY rude. I’m 5’7 & 1/2 woman. I have long legs. The woman doing my pedicure goes REPEATEDLY… “You’re so tall! I know you can’t find any pants that fit you. You probably have to order online or something” The entire time she was making jokes about my height.. acting like i was some sort of giant… mind you, my arm was in a sling because i hurt my arm. At the end i was paying “oh you hurt your arm?! how?!” i said I fell at work. she says “You don’t love yourself”….. Girl what??? And After being attacked about my height the whole pedicure.. (which i love my height) i was still going to leave a tip but after that, here’s a tip: If you don’t have anything nice to say: ZIP IT.

Always a pleasure to go to Joannes. Great Service. But her prices went up. Ughh. In this pandemic we need places not to increase their pricing. We are all struggling with our finances.

Just had my nails done by Cathy this afternoon and she did a BEAUTIFUL job!! She 💗 She was also so nice and I enjoyed my time spend with her. Will definitely be going back and highly recommend!! Thank you for the set!!

So I have gotten my eyebrows done by Joanne and she is excellent at that. I was in the area and needed a pedicure so I wanted to give her establishment my business. I sadly have to say that this was the worst pedicure. Joanne was on vacation but a pedicure is pretty standard. It was done in 15 minutes. No foot or leg massage. She just rubned lotion on the front of my leg and top of foot right after me feet had soaked for a few minutes. Very disappointed. The 3 stars are because Joanne does excellent eyebrows. If this was just for the pedicure I would give 1 star.

Don’t waste your time and money!

Joanne had went on vacation and left two other people in charge. I wanted to get my nails soaked off and get a new pink powder set. I sat and soaked my hands for an HOUR!!! turns out she put my hands in nail polish remover instead of acetone so they literally had to force and break my nails. While she was doing so she cut me!! Then proceeded to do my nails which she rushed while doing. I didnt like how they turned out and she charged me 47 dollars. Two weeks later 6 of my nails are broken one of them right down the middle. This was a fresh new set!!! I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone anymore.

This was my first visit and she did an excellent job on my eyebrows.

For 15yrs Joann has been the only one to properly do my brows. I was lost without her when she left the eyebrow scene to start her family, but a few yrs later she came back on scene with her own salon and I havent went anywhere else since. Her shaping and arches are on point. Most ppl in New haven county know Joann for eyebrows by word of mouth. Ppl would wait an hour+ in line at her 1st eyebrow spot, the line would be out the door all yr long!Pedis are basic and good there as well.

Staffs are great. i recommend to get nails done by kathy and eyebrows done by joanne. place may be dirty a little but overall i like it here, its very welcoming.

Great place to get your nails and especially eyebrows done.Joanne is fabulous with brow shaping. Most of the time you have to wait to see joanne but its not too long and worth the wait.

Just went and got a regular manicure there because the nail salon that I usually go to was busy so I figured what the heck it’s only a manicure. First of all the owner Joann is nice but they suck at their job. She didn’t clean my cuticles all around my nails and she did an ok job painting them. The place is dirty!!!!!! The nail dryers had so much dust in them and the toilet was broken so they had the lid off so you could see inside the toilet!! I can’t believe people still go to this place!! Don’t recommend this place at all and I’m praying I don’t get an infection!

💅 could have been done better...

I called ahead to Joannes to inquire about getting a full set of acrylic nails done. The woman who answered stated that yes they did acrylics. I asked if I would need to make an appointment, I was on my there from work and would be arriving in a half an hour. When I arrived there was nobody there, yet they told me they could not take me for an hour. After I stated that I would just leave they then said they could take me. The person doing my nails was not doing them the way I have ever had acrylic nails done. ( I have had them on and off for over 13 years) When they were not nearly half way done I asked if they would be able to fix one particular one that was bothering me, I did not like the way it looked. They looked at the nail and then at me and flat out ignored my request. I then stated that if they could not fix it they should just stop because it would be a waste of both of our time as I would take the off immediatly. After the person doing my nails held 3 of my fingers while working on other so I could not look at them I got up and left. I did leave some cash for the person who attempted to do them. Only when I was out the door did the owner come out from a closed off room and see what was wrong.This was not my first time at this salon, I had previously gotten just a manicure there and that was an enjoyable experience. However, after the terrible customer service I got I will never return and am telling everyone else I know to not patron this establishment.
