The only 24 hour emergency vet we could find that could do surgery. Coming from Saint Augustine with a pregnant cat who was having issues. The drive was annoying and after calling several vets on a Saturday and going to two different places before hand we came here. The office staff, vets, technicians and doctor were all pleasant and easy to talk to. They all took their time with my mother and her cat. Yes, the wait was long, 2 hours before the cat was seen. However, they are an emergency vet, their staff is limited. They can only do so much at once! Y’all need to give them a break as a lot of times they need to give pet owners heartbreaking news. They are expensive because, 1) emergency 24 hour service, 2) it was a weekend, 3) they are specialists. I would consider getting your fur baby some insurance which is very reasonable as it will definitely help in these emergency situations. They quoted us $2800 for what the cat needed (c section) they did try to do everything they could to prevent the surgery. With that being said, they did tell us if we go to a regular vet on the Monday we would save a lot of money. Since the cat wasn’t in distress we decided to take that route. They were very kind and understanding. Pets can be very expensive and while I don’t agree that things should cost so much they were the only ones willing to look at our pet and potentially save its life. If there ever is another emergency I will drive the 40 minutes here. I appreciate the staff and the doctor who took their time with us. In the 3 hours we were there, I saw them consoling another pet owner who’s beloved friend didn’t make it and on two occasions technicians were running out to the cars to retrieve animals and running them back in, clearly needing attention ASAP. I really appreciated that. Thank you Blue Pearl.

I have taken my 2 cats here, at two different times during the night due to emergency situations. The technicians are very helpful, knowledgeable, and caring. The front office staff really do a great job explaining things to you. I was told the price of treatment up front. Unlike some emergency vet clinics. ( I know its hard to put a price on medical treatment but its always great to have an estimate.) The Veterinarian on duty have done an amazing job answering all of my questions, and explaining all of the procedures to me. My wait time was long but thats to be expected due to my pets being stabilized. The staff was willing to work with my schedule, so I can pick up my cat at a decent time because the original pick up time was pushed back due to emergency surgeries. I recommend this place for middle of the night emergencies. Also the front office staff didnt get frustrated with me calling 3 times in an hour to ask questions about my cats post op treatment.

Stop the practice of not allowing owners in the door. Most dogs - the owner is always in the best place to manage them without risking additional injuries. This is simply dangerous to animals recovering from injuries/surgeries.

Thank you so much. We came up there frantic last night with our elderly family pet, and we got the news that no one ever wants. Either pay for expensive surgery that she probably wouldnt survive, or put her to sleep. We made the unfortunate decision to put her to sleep, but you guys have us so much peace of mind. You let us stay with her the entire time, you let us have time with her until we were ready, and you put her in a nice little box to bring her home to bury her in. The vet, I dont remember her name, loved on her with us the whole time as she put her down. You cant even begin to understand how much that small gesture of love meant for us, and for my spouse who has never seen a dog put to sleep. You guys made us feel better, and I know Bella was at peace. Thank you so much.

They were great when our boxer had surgery on her leg. But when our bulldog had surgery they never checked on his well being after the stitches were removed. No follow up was done like with our boxer. Very disappointed in this facility this time. When they did call it was to give me a quote for the other leg that needed surgery & not once asked about our dog or make follow up appointment for the xray. So we paid $4000 & no follow up until we called them asking for medication for his inflammation then they wanted us to bring him back. Its been 4 mths. Just disappointed in them this go around with lack of care for our bulldog.

Last night around 6pm, my husband and I noticed our 4 month old German shepherd puppy wasn’t himself. We tried feeding him, giving him water, playing with him, and nothing was working. He was excessively salivating, had labored breathing, goopy eyes. He wasn’t the same dog he was 2 days before. We took him here around 7:30pm, we filled out the paperwork and he was checked in. About an hour or so later we called for an update on where our puppy was on the list. They had told us that he was at the top of the list. Not 5 minutes later, he had started convulsing in my husbands lap. It was then that they were actually concerned about our puppy. I’ll admit the end outcome was great but the waiting was dreadful. They tell all their patients that they are top of the list. Some of the dogs that come in could have been seen after. But that’s just my personal opinion.

This was a horrible experience. We brought our 13 year old lab on a Wednesday night for labored breathing and the possibility he may have eaten something he shouldn’t have. He has a hx of 2 abdominal surgeries. They were obviously very busy. We called in as they are only doing curbside due to COVID. We were told it was going to be a 2 hr wait. They lady on the phone was super nice and seemed genuinely concerned. We filled out all the paperwork and waited. We didn’t wait very long when a tech came out to the car. She was standing at my window with her hands in her pockets and clearly an attitude. She checked him out said he looked good and his breathing was normal. I said No that breathing is not normal. Its rapid and loud and clearly not normal. She said his gums were well oxygenated and he looked fine and turned and walked away while I was in the middle of trying to tell her something. I get they were busy and she was probably over it but being a tech at an ER VET she needs to work on that some. We went elsewhere even though it was a further drive.

BluePearl Pet Hospital does not allow pet owners in with their furbabies in an emergency situation, There is absolutely no reason for this, airplanes are fully seated, sports arenas are fully packed and theyWould not allow me to accompany my sick baby. Clearly they are enjoying this too much not allowing customers in to observe, ask questions to and to take up their time. I have no idea how my visit went because I could not come in. Im vaccinated. BluePearl needs to stop using Covid as a excuse to keep customers out. Open back up, do your job. Clearly you hate your customers

I came home from work to find my cat paralyzed in his lower legs and screaming in pain. I scooped him up in a blanket and called the nearest emergency vet who stated they could not take him because they had too many others ahead of him. I had to drive 25 minutes with this cat howling in pain to the next hospital and was greeted by a very insensitive vet tech. I hope shes better with animal care because her people skills are terrible. My wife and I have used Blue Pearl several times. We have gone to Blue Pearl for 3 emergencies in the last 3 years, all after normal business hours for other vets. We recently went in for a scheduled echocardiogram. We were seen at our appointment time and the staff was friendly, as they always have been. Blue Pearl is an emergency vet. We treat it like an emergency room. Sometimes you have to wait if they are busy with other (perhaps more severe) emergencies. It can be expensive at times, but we really appreciate Blue Pearl for being there for us when we needed them. They are open 24 hours, and if you have an emergency with your pet at 3am, they will be there for you too.

She didn’t read the notes or look at the X-ray and was going over things I already knew wasting precious time. 3 hours later they came up with a plan of action and wanted a 3k deposit before even considering moving forward with anything. Needless to say I took my cat cat back into my own care (with them being very rude about it like I didn’t care for his needs) and brought him back to my vet for a Hail Mary surgery at this point.Money hungry place, horrible communication. My dog Bandit became weak and lethargic on Sunday and since my dog is currently going to the dermatology wing next door and my vet Six Street Veterinary Hospital recommended me to them, this is where I brought him. It was the best choice as everyone was very warm and friendly, compassionate. My dog was unable to walk and the staff member picked him up and carried him inside. It only took about 10 minutes to received a call letting me know that she was very worried about my baby and the plan of action she wanted to take and how much the it would be. I told her to do whatever is needed no matter how much and we hung up. I received another call from another staff member and was told the cost and I offered to pay, but was told that was not necessary that they would do that after Bandit was stable and the x-rays and bloodwork would take about an hour. I received a call about an hour later with the worst news that I was not ready for, my dog had massive cancer all throughout his heart and lungs and that he was bleeding internally from Hemangiosarcoma (a cancer of endothelial cells, the cells that line the blood vessels) which was causing him to bleed internally and it would be best to end his suffering by euthanizing him. Dr. Shugg told me she was so surprised by the finding and was very empathetic and she told me she would give my Bandit some pain meds, fluids and nausea meds so I could take him home and give him lots of love, hugs and kiss so I could make a decision. Bandit was not just my dog, he was my child. He had such a big personality that everyone he met fell in love with him. I cant thank the staff at Blue Pearl for the excellent care, compassion and sympathy me and Bandit was given. Bandits condition worsened during the night and he could barely walk so I took him to his vet at Six Street on Monday and when I arrived the vet had already received the report on Bandits condition and agreed euthanizing was best to end his suffering.

Had to go twice over the weekend, once on Saturday because our older, deaf, arthritic dog had a swollen foot and leg. Wait time wasnt bad and they kept us updated. They even let us take her outside to wait and came and got us. The vet tech was awesome, very nice and very caring toward our dog. Let us know what was going on and how long wed probably be waiting for the doctor. When the doctor came he was very gentle with our girl and explained everything he was seeing during the exam and on X-ray that was taken. Price was very reasonable for an emergency visit plus x-rays.The next day the swelling caused an abscess that burst so we called and they told us to come in and they would waive the emergency visit fee. We had the same vet tech and he remembered she couldnt walk and had a blanket layed out and ready for her which was amazingly thoughtful. We had a different doctor this time but she had obviously read up quickly on what was going on and knew must of the information from our previous visit. She drained the abscess and gave us instructions for after care. All a long winded way to say, Blue Pearl is amazing and if you ever have the misfortune to need an emergency vet, this is the place to go.

I brought in my dog at 12 am Saturday, the receptionist was rude but the woman who picked up my dog wasnt. I told them i only had $800 so instead of xrays they suggested a physical and anti-vomit meds (not sure how expensive the xrays are if $800 wasnt enough). I was told if she throws up on the meds bring her back ASAP, it could mean she has blockage. Later that morning she threw up the meds, we loaded her back up and head their way again. I emailed before getting there to help speed up the process...we arrive, i call and im told someone will be right out. No one comes, i call again, your dog is next......After waiting hours (with zero indication there was a long wait) in a parking lot with my sick girl, ignored, and watching other animals go in that arrived *after* me, we left without being seen. Took her to another vet, she was xrayed immediately...turns out she needed emergency surgery. Most vets care about the money first...if youre lucky, your pet second. This place doesnt care about your pet at all...its a paycheck to them. When my bf politely talked to them about being displeased, they hung up on him. Ive never experienced such a level of not giving a F from a vet. Never again!

Please read my review so you understand the 1 star rating. This is for the Dermatology office, Dr Bartlet was amazing and explained everything to me very thoroughly. She did an amazing job on his ear and the eye doctor did an amazing job on my pups eye. My one and only problem was with the follow up. We all know you pay for your services ahead of time and agree to a price. Well they called me to schedule follow up after the surgery and i asked very straightforward is the follow up included in the price that i just paid, they said yes. I come back do the follow up and they hit me with a I owe 304.00 for the follow up. We would of never drove the over an hour trip for a follow up to be charged 300.00 for something that was supposedly included. Now mind you initial exam was like 200.00 to determine we would do the surgery so how are you going to hit me with 300.00 charge for a follow up ? All i have to say is the Doctors are amazing but the hospital itself is grimey and will nickel and dime you while they charge premium pricing . I will not return ! Dr Bartlet thank you you did amazing i am sorry for the review but the staff and practice of the office is ridiculous.

12/26/2020 my dog was acting weird and we noticed her defecting straight blood and she began to vomit. We immediately knew something was wrong and called our local vet. Unfortunately they could not take us due to the amount of patients they already had. We had taken our pets in the past to clay ducal emergency and had a great experience with staff, interactions with our dogs, cost and wait times. So naturally we opted to take her there. We live an hour away but our pets come first so no issue there. We head that way approximately 1120am I call them around 12pm and let them know we are 20-30 min away. We arrive at 1217, I called them to let them know we had arrived they emailed me the checkin papers and said they would be out momentarily. We watched them take dogs and bring animals out. At 2pm I called back and said we were still waiting and that I didn’t want them to forget us. They said there was 4 dogs in front of us and that they would be with us soon. At 330ish the tech came out and just started collecting animals said they wanted to get them all inside. My husband and I left to grab something to eat where we decided to head home to feed and care for our other animals. On our drive home, at 440ish they called and said that the dr was fixing to go in and asked us a few questions in regards to the dog. Then at 6pm we called and asked for an update we’re we were told she had not even been seen yet. 648pm they call us and say she has a bacteria blooming in her stomach that she could have ate something. They gave her antibiotics and fluids and told us to come get her. We arrived at approximately 8pm. We called to tell them we arrived and they gave us the balance owed which we paid immediately. At 9pm our dog was still not brought out to us so I called and they said we will be right there sorry. Then at 930pm still no dog. My husband walked to the door where you could see people playing video games. I called back and said look I have paid an hour and a half ago, no dog and people are playing. Then moments later the tech comes out with my dog.He told us that they were short staffed and sorry it took so long. I get short staffed but tell your clients never did anyone say hey your gonna have a 3-4 hour wait for her to be admitted then another 3-4 hours for her to be seen. No one communicated with us about anything other than we will be right there and hours passed before ever seeing a sole. This place is truly something special. You cannot state an honest opinion or leave a proper review about anyone or any company unless you have walked in their shoes. I was very fortunate to have witnessed firsthand exactly what they go through and for 4 nights straight. My dog Mr. Buggles had heart surgery next door at Affiliated Veterinarian Specialist and upon closing nightly they would transfer us over to the Clay Duval Pet Emergency (CDPE). CDPE were gracious enough to allow me sit with my dog overnight inside of a big dog run kennel as he fought for his life. During this process, I watched these people from a distance and behind the scenes they work tirelessly around the clock. They are very professional, honest and gentle with their patients. They fight just as hard and are just as thorough and sanitary as doctors in a human hospital. I watched some live on and unfortunately I saw one die but no matter, I saw how genuine the staff were in both situations as they did everything they can or that could be done in every situation. Nothing is perfect but there is no doubt that these people strive to be. It is obvious that they all love their jobs and are very good at it. I trust them with my dog and I feel that you can too!

I dont normally leave reviews, but I cannot say enough good things about a potentially very bad situation. We noticed something was very wrong with our boxer around 9 on a Friday night. I called blue pearl and they told us to come in, and already knew exactly what was wrong before we even hung up. She had bloat, a potentially deadly emergency and required immediate surgery. We were terrified, but Dr. Vega and her staff were amazing. We were unable to go into the vet, due to covid, but we were called like clockwork and left well informed of everything that was going on. They were compassionate with our pup and with us, and literally saved her life.I would not hesitate to bring one of our babies to this vet again.

This place deserves negative stars!!! Went in at 11:30 with an 8 week old puppy with rectal prolapse. Three hours later, no one came to give me an update. Checked with front desk and they hadn’t done surgery yet. Would have been nice to get updates every so often. Finally at 2:30am, I called another emergency vet in Mandarin. They took her back right away. No wait. Don’t waste your time here. They suck at customer service and caring for the animals in a timely manner. Never again will I step foot in that place!!Just received an update from Mandarin emergency clinic. Doctor is already doing surgery on my pup. I’ve literally only been here for 15 minutes!!! Do your pet a favor and drive the extra miles to see a vet that cares!! I’ll be driving to Mandarin for now on.

My personal experiences with this emergency vet have been nothing but positive. I’ve had a couple emergencies throughout the past 15 years with two cats and my puppy most recently. The techs and vets have always had my pets’ best interests at heart and literally saved my puppy’s life recently. I know everyone has different experiences and the cost can be overwhelming sometimes, but for me personally, the staff has always been kind, caring, and understanding with pets and payment. I’m hopeful that other people have a similar, positive experience.

My puppy was spayed 4 days ago I came home to her excessively pooping straight blood. I called the er vet because mine was already closed for today and they told me to get her seen as this could be life threatening so i let them know we would be there within 30 mins. Once we arrived there were already a few cars waiting (due to covid we had to stay in our cars) I let the receptionist (who clearly hates his job or has no people skills) know we were here and filled out the paperwork and they told me we were checked in. After waiting 30-45 mins they call and let us know they will not be able to see us due to emergency surgery. Which i am fine with due to knowing other animals were worse off than mine however the emergency surgery had been waiting longer than we had outside in the heat... they should have been more open at the time of check in and let us know instead of making us waiting only to be turned away. Im assuming this place has 1 doctor 24 hours due to not being able to keep up with demand. However we ended up taking her to Mandarin Pet Emergency Clinic and were treated very nicely and we were only there an hour (even with other people waiting before us) and the exam fee was $40 cheaper!

Took my dog here after he was bitten by another dog. With the exception of the initial technician, who seemed caring and knowledgeable, the vet and other staff were unprofessional and disinterested. The goal seemed to be getting me to approve an expensive suturing and drain placement under anesthesia. I did, since I was told that this was the best treatment for me dog. However, 24 hours later I was back at my regular vet, who removed the drain because it was making matters worse, not better. My vet also changed up the antibiotic prescribed by Blue Pearl, since the one they selected was not broad-acting (which was needed for my dogs wound). The vet himself (Andrew Boggs) was very unprofessional and did not inspire confidence. As it turns out, his actions added undue stress to my dog, starting with an unnecessary sedation (that I was not asked about prior to administration) and ending with the placement of an unneeded drain. In a nutshell, everything done by Blue Pearl was later reversed by my regular vet. Our visit was a waste of time and money and a source of distress and discomfort for my dog.

My husband and I brought our dog into Blue Pearl late last night (Midnight) because she had uncontrollable vomiting, diarrhea, labored breathing and was lethargic. We filled out the required paperwork, and there was only one other person in the emergency clinic, so we were taken to an exam room immediately. The vet tech began by asking routine questions: (up to date on immunizations, when did the symptoms begin, how many times did she vomit etc...) . The tech then said she was going to take our dog to the back to get her vitals and that the vet was beginning a procedure shortly so she wanted the vet to see her so they could write up a treatment plan and an estimate (Apparently Treatment plan is their catch phrase because we heard that repeatedly). When the tech returned, she said the vet had already started the procedure but she (the tech) was going to write up a treatment plan and estimate (yep, that phrase again} and they would begin with IV fluids and anti nausea/anti-diarrhea meds. I asked if our dog was dehydrated, and the tech said No. I asked if she had a fever, again, No. So I questioned the IV, especially since we had yet to even see the veterinarian--the tech again threw the words Treatment plan and then added that blood work could be done at an additional cost. When I asked what the vet thought it was, the tech told me that 8 times out of 10 its due to a change in the diet (we didnt change the brand of food, only went from beef to duck). The tech again said those magical words Treatment plan and that shed return shortly--SHE NEVER CAME BACK!My husband sat in the room listening to what he called a sorority party happening in the room beyond the exam rooms: laughing, joking, talking...and the tech nor the vet NEVER CAME BACK!!! After sitting in the room and waiting until 2am my husband made a decision to LEAVE after speaking with the receptionist. This morning at 8am we took our dog to our regular veterinarian where she was admitted--still experiencing vomiting & diarrhea, shes dehydrated, extremely lethargic and her liver enzymes are elevated.Had any of your staff followed through on a damn TREATMENT PLAN, had the veterinarian (a nameless veterinarian at that!) bothered to even look at her/meet with us, had any of the techs bothered to pop in and check on our dog or showed our dog one ounce of compassion, caring or empathy, she mightve been on the path to recovery rather than being where she is now. Most assuredly, I speak for both my husband and myself when I say that I dont even think that a veterinarian was even on the premises at Blue Pearl--(shortly after our arrival we watched as one older staff member (female) left just prior to us being called to the exam room).Combine that fact with what my husband was witness to (the unprofessional behavior, the sorority party in the back room and the fact that NO ONE ever came back to check on our dog nor did they produce any Treatment plan)---I thoroughly believe that one star is far too generous!

Horrible! I have had 2 cats here and both died! No compassion. Money hungary. They want to do unnecessary testing and medication or put to sleep. No in between. Last night I took my 18 year old in due to not being able to eat or drink or stand up. First they took her vitals and said they where good and we would have a 3 hour wait. I asked if we could leave her. They said yes and we will do a diagnosis on her and let you know. I proceeded to ask the price if we did this. She said around 1,000.00. WHAT? The cat is 18 years old. Oh and proceeded to tell me there is a credit card I can apply for to pay for. No compassion. I took my cat home and she passed away 3 hours later. So she would have died waiting to see a useless vet and staff. My other cat was injured inside a car during a bad storm. Long story short. Took her in looked at her and was told to put her down. Very rudely. Luckily I had sense enough to not listen. Got medication and took home and you would never known she was even injured. Third cat took it because was bleeding out of mouth. A fight Im sure. Took her in n was givin no option but to put her to sleep. I was going to pay for surgery or whatever it took. They would not even entertain the idea. The most negligent, non compassionate people I have encountered. Please take your pets elsewhere. Please! I chose this place for location but Ill drive to hell n back from now on.😥😡

On the wee hours February 23, We had an unfortunate incident where it was dog versus cat. We proceeded to take our cat to Blue pearl ER. The initial interaction with the front desk was good. We were given a Treatment plan With the initial cost being $821. They clean the cat up, gave pain Medication And proceeded to place a drain tube. They told us to follow up with our regular vet in three days.On Tuesday, in more seem to be in more pain, So we took him to a regular vet. The vet wanted to remove the drain tube But said he could not remove it Because it was placed incorrectly. His exact words were How was it supposed to drain anything when Its going against gravity? He then showed us a picture of what it is supposed to look like. I understand emergency services Can be expensive, but to provide bad expensive service is predatory. Not to mention that The other vet was unable to remove the drainage tube Because he said he did not know what it was connected to.Of course, we Had to pay their vet an office charge. As a result of the service Being performed Incorrectly we were forced to go back to the er. The wait was four hours. The problem with the wait was that there was no communication. After several hours we finally inquiredAnd were told that there was emergency Patients That came in. OK thats to be expected, But there was no communication. In my opinion, The services here our less than Satisfactory. They take advantage Of the fact that youre emotionally charged. I probably wouldnt mind paying If the job was done correctly. But to be charged this amount of money For pain medication, Is Predatory.

Our beloved cat started having serious breathing problems Friday morning, I rushed her to the clinic to get her help. My daughter had called earlier to forewarn them I was arriving. Once I arrived instead of greeting me at the car and helping me carry her into the clinic, I had to deal with it myself. I was the only one there other than the staff. I had been told by my daughter who had her own cat there previously that they closed at 8am even though on their website it states noon on Fridays. Once I entered the facility and identified myself, the girl at the desk asked me if I was the one who had had their daughter call and I replied yes. She then explained to me that they would be closing at 8am. It was then 7:20 am. I filled out the appropriate paperwork and they took my cat back to what I assumed was the emergency clinic. The girl at the desk informed me that I would be met in an small room off the main room by the vet who would inform me of her findings. After waiting about 10 minutes the vet came into the room and again informed me they would be closing at 8 am and told me she would examine my cat and let me know the results. After about 15 more minutes she came out and explained her findings. I was told that if I wanted a sonogram performed she would do that but theirs was not very good. I again was informed they would be closing soon. This, in my opinion was not professional at all. You dont tell a pet owner that your facilities are not very good when you have a distressed animal at hand and do not rush the owners out quickly. After I consented to have the sonogram performed, the vet went back and after about 10 more minutes came out and explained that there was fluid buildup on the right side but she didnt examine the left side due to stress to the animal. Are you serious????? I felt there was no concern, empathy, or professionalism involved at all. We were rushed to make a decision on the welfare of our cat. We were told that if we wanted a more involved examination, we could take her across the street or across Jacksonville but she probably would not survive the trip. Our beloved animal was in serious distress and needed much better care than we were being offered. I would not recommend this unprofessional and bunch of quacks to anyone.

Don’t EVER take your pets here. We had a 5-6 week old puppy who got his foot stuck in the door and we took him here worried he might have done something to it. We sat in the waiting room for about an hour and decided to go up to the front desk. They told us it’d probably be about another hour before he could be seen. Their website even says something about injured pets being seen first. The lady at the desk was so very rude to us. There were only about 2-3 other people in there was well. We left after they told us that because we were fed up and took them to PerAngels on Collins road. They took him IMMEDIATELY and had amazing service. They took x-rays if his foot and brought us back into the back so we could see them. We saw everything in the back and the staff was extremely nice. They even clipped his toenails for him!! My daughters 7-year old dog was suddenly having problems breathing. Early in the evening, it was minor, as long as he was laying down, he seemed fine. I decided I would miss work and take him to the vet the next day. However, by 1:30 am, he was having serious problems, so my son and I got him in the car, and rushed him and hours drive to this clinic. When we got there, someone came out to meet us, grabbed up this 90 lb. dog, and ran him back inside to the back. I was relieved, thinking they were going to help us. At the front window, the attendant gave me a form, and pointed out the minimum $400 to $500 payment. I told her it wasnt a problem, I had some cash that my daughter had given me, and my paycheck would be deposited by 7:30 that morning. She took me to a room, where I finished filling out the form, and gave it back. After about an hour or so, the vet came in and told me that our dogs larynx was unable to open and it would be a $2000 to $3000 surgery, once the specialists came in. I was floored, but I was ready to do whatever we could. As soon as I asked about possible payment arrangements, she became hard with me, and let me know that if we didnt have the money now, we needed to euthanize him now. She said she would have someone come speak with me with a current quote for their services. She walked out, and a few minutes later an attendant came in with the quote. I was told that if I did not have the money to pay, right now, the $360 bill to continue treating our dog until the specialists come in, then I needed to pay as much as I could, and sign a promissory note, that would cover the $280 bill for services up to now, and euthanize my daughters dog. I couldnt believe it, I tried to explain that I would remain there, at the clinic until my paycheck posted, in 4 hours, and they would get their money, I begged them to please just give me that 4 hours. The attendant left, and came back, saying that if I didnt have the money, right now, I needed to euthanize the dog and give them what I had, along with the promissory note. After agonizing over the decision, I finally realized that I was being forced to euthanize our pet, and their concern was not for my pet, it was for my money, or lack thereof. In truth, I had no choice, I had to sign that hateful paper and have my daughters baby killed, because I didnt have enough money, right at that moment. It didnt matter that, in four hours, I would be able to give them their money, they only cared about right now.I will never again visit their clinic, I will not recommend their clinic, and I will leave this review on as many sites as I can. All this is gold does not glitter... They have a nice looking establishment, clean and well-lit, but if they cant help your animals to live, then Im not sure what to say.

I was pleasantly surprised to find they had done a paw print and sent it in a sympathy card. That small act of kindness brightened my day when it arrived. Although they are not inexpensive their prices seemed fair to me and the treatment options and expectations were thoroughly explained. (Including costs). This visit was horrible I was treated like I was a horrible mother after asking was it time to put my fur baby to rest due to her seizures increasing and now she has almost all types of seizures, due to what I was told by the same hospital at my 1st visit which was i would have to make that decision sooner or later cause seizures always get worse not better even with meds. I got told CBD was not the way to go and downgraded for using it. I was told i should put her up for adoption cause i was not giving her prescribed medication and using CBD only. I have never been treated so harsh as my baby layed there curled up to her mommy clearly feeling love as she always does. Learn some bedside manors, if you talk to a mom that was clearly crying how are you treating my baby while she is not in the room with me. Meds they put her on has side effects. We have been 12 hours without a seizure but she is scared she doesnt remember us, and when we go to show her attention she runs from us like she is looking at a stranger, she has never acted like this after a seizure. So I have her with no seizures so far, but a scared baby. Nothing a mother wants to see her baby go thru either way.

Clean facility. Nice, warm, caring, professional and friendly support staff. Short staffed after 8 PM on the Saturday night when we had our pet emergency (however it is the only pet ER in the immediate area); very busy Saturday night with only one attending vet. Our toy poodle suffered a broken leg after becoming entrapped in a folding wooden barrier fence while we were out for a 3 hour dinner; not sure how long she was entrapped but she bit/gnawed at her leg causing it to bleed. ER doctor (Boggs) mildly sedated our dog, set and splinted her leg and only treated her with a skin surface abrasion type of antibiotic (cefovecin aka Convenia); by Monday when we followed up with our regular vet (as prescribed) our dog had developed an anaerobic type of infection in her leg from where she had bitten herself. She ended up staying at our vet for 10 days to adequately treat the infection by changing bandage 2 times a day (with broken splinted leg) which may have been avoided if an anaerobic bacteria fighting type of antibiotic had been administered by the ER vet instead of just a surface abrasion infection type of antibiotic.

Along with his age, he had other risk factors making him a poor candidate for anesthesia. The surgery went beautifully with no complications and my dog is recovering nicely. My experience end-to-end was outstanding. The communication from Bluepearl was excellent and I was provided constant updates on my dogs status and progress. Its wonderful having access to state-of-the-art care from board-certified specialists for animals at high risk for surgery/anesthesia. They offered us water and a blanket for our dog to lay on. They gave us all the time we needed before and after the procedure. When it was over, they even handled the body with the utmost respect. Additionally, I will pay whatever it takes to keep my dog alive in an emergency and the care he received was nothing short of a traditional Emergency Room. Spent $190.00 brought him home and he slept until 11 am when he woke up, my husband picked him up and he is still randomly yelping and hiding from us. Did some google research to discover it could be a spine problem, called the vet back and asked about an X-ray which is another $70 office visit and $175 for the X-ray! I am highly disappointed in this emergency clinic, they let a friend of our dog die because they were worried about getting paperwork and their money first, this is suppose to be an emergency clinic, it was an emergency, take care of the animal first then worry about the money later, save the life of an animal but money was more important, then it took weeks for them to get their ashes and paw print back of their dog. They called daily to see if they were in and got the run around, finally went to the office and the items were in the back. They had a lot of ashes up there, so i guess they have a lot of animals they cant save. Please do not take your animal to this place. This dog was a show dog and he was a Grand Champion. Review №100

Thank you so much for taking care of us when we showed up at 1:30am after our dog had popped her stitches. The professionalism and compassion shown (especially at that hour) was amazing.P.S. Before deciding based on ratings, please note the quality of grammar and how often it correlates with stars given.
