Purchase and had installed a Phoenix PX6 radio in my F150. Stereo West did a fantastic job. There is truly difference with professional installation and Stereo West is top-notched. As far as the radio -- it keeps all factory functions and looks and sounds great. Audio is a little better than factory and rear view camera is clearer. It highly recommend this radio to anyone looking for something little different or way to distinguish your vehicle from others.

This place is great!! They are very professional and efficient when they work on your vehicle. I recently got two new subwoofers put in and they sound amazing! No clipping nor do they bottom out! They also did my tint and that has held up for about two years with no issues. 10/10 They also did my remote start which has had no issues. Great place!

I bought a badass stereo Darrell helped me with the process. I am 51 years old and thought I knew it all, I guess thats why Stereo West hires professionals. Had a great car stereo installed over a year ago. Stopped in because I couldn’t get maps on it. Of course it was user error and Darrel was very helpful and patient with me and helped get it up and going again!

The customer service there is not that very good. I got my headlights upgraded to some LEDs, so I gave them props on the good installation. However, they had to order twice which took a half month by the time everything was said and done. I ding one star for reorder and one star for customer service.

Got a self starter for my car installed here 3 years ago and it has been a life saver (especially during these cold winter months). Never had an issue with it, however after needing to jump start my car recently due to battery issues my self starter stopped working. I called stereo west who reassured me this is a rare issue that can happen when a car battery dies requiring the self starter to be reset. I was able to show up same day and within only 5 mins they had my self starter working again (and at no charge, since their self starters come with a lifetime warranty.)

Absolute worst place to get your car tinted. They have no concept of what customer service is. Places blame on customers for their faults. Very argumentative and confrontational when I had a lifetime warranty anyway so fault is irrelevant. Just appalled at the quality considering I spent over $500 dollars for the services. I’ve had to take my car back 3 different times. Pick anywhere else others then this place for tints. They do a horrible job. The amount of money you spend doesn’t equal the quality they give you!

I was interested in getting tint installed on a Volkswagen Jetta. They told me there was an extra $50 charge for Volkswagens. But could not explain why. They just said some cars take longer so they charge more. The Jetta is a small car with the same number of windows as most sedans. None of the other shops I talked to charge extra for Volkswagens. If there is a legitimate reason then thats fine. But they should be able to explain why they want to charge me extra for my car.Edit - I gave 1 star because you cant just tell customers their car costs more to service and not explain why. It just does is not an acceptable answer. I see the owner responded to this review and clarified why they charge more for Volkswagens. I wish they could have explained that when I asked the first & second times.Also Im still skeptical because no other installers charge an additional fee for Volkswagen Jettas.

Very nice work. Ryan at 74th & Dodge was knowledgeable and carefully listened to what I was asking for. Ryan was responsive in getting the job scheduled and patient in the taking of additional calls from me about the work after our first discussion. Luis (sp?) did an excellent job on the installation. Having installed my own and others stereos since the late 70s (my first was an under dash 8-track player... haha), it was a little hard to pay someone else to reinstall my system. However, it was well worth the cost for me not to have to tear apart a 5 month old truck. Luis left no indication of the disassembly/reassembly required to do a full system install and was very accommodating on my specific knob locations as well as sound preferences. I will have other projects for these guys.

The guys I talked to were super cool and nice when I called and when I was there in person. It got done faster than I expected and they did a wonderful job! Couldnt reccomend them enough. I got my car starter put in and I am elated with the final results

Fixed my sound system they installed in a shop here in Lincoln,Ne it was worth the drive made it sound 10 times better.

They are very goodto deal with the car stereos and also the electric starter I have installed a couple of cars they were older and I installed the Drone, you can start your car anyway, works amazing its very good I highly recommend it

See Ryan for great service. Had my windows tinted last week. Went along with his recommendation on tint % . He was right on the money. The car looks great. Also I had a remote starter but no remote for it. Purchased one off the internet couldn’t figure out how to program it myself. Brought it to Ryan and he brought the car in the garage and had his guy program the car for free. I’m more than satisfied and will be doing more business with Ryan again.

Shane at the one on 74th and dodge listened to what I was looking for and what I needed and not only did he get the things that I needed for my truck but he made sure that I got everything I needed to install. These guys are amazing and I highly highly recommend coming here if u need to have something to have installed.

I got a remote start from them about 5 years ago and my keypad was acting up, went in and it was simple as my new batteries were expired. He refused to let me use my own new batteries, told me to take them back. Put their new batteries in and sent me on my way! Kind, helpful, and free. Was in there MAYBE 10 min. Great service!

Ive been helped out by Stereo West several times over the years. Ive had stereos, tint, and remote starts done not just for my personal vehicles but friends and family as well. They have never let me down or gone back on their word. Something doesnt work out exactly as I thought it should be they fix it. Their shops are professional and clean. Another thing I like is they have been around. Allot of these shops will give you promises of service then close their doors. Stereo West has weathered the years because they give us a quality product at a fair price. I can trust they will be here next year if I need them. You can be confident in their products and service.

Bought my second remote start and before i bought it I asked is it the same as my previous purchase! Was assured it was! Wasnt was then informed that it would be extra to get to perform as my earlier purchase! Got truck home and drivers door wont lock! It worked when I took it in! Costed me another $125 to have this fixed! I was never informed by them that the actuator was bad! They sent me home with a system I assumed worked but didnt! All I get for answers is its not there fault! If I had bought a fancy stereo I wonder if that would have gotten installed with out shorting systems out in my truck!

Crooked, overpriced, unprofessional. I worked with the assistant manager Ryan and was treated poorly.Charged me $450 to put in a defective self-start that causes a sensor red light to continuously flash on my car thus draining the battery overnight.During this time I also payed them to put in an apple car play model that unfortunately wasn’t a good fit to my car due to the angle of the screen. I took my car back and they upsold me a different model only to incorrectly install it. The controllers/buttons on my steering wheel console no longer work and the angle of the screen is still problematic. I will NOT be taking my car back to them - not even for them to fix their own mistakes.Final thing: I wish I would have done my research. They overcharge their parts and labor by hundreds of dollars. Completely unprofessional. Waste of money.

I’ve gotten a sound system from them and remote start on a few of my cars. But this one is the best sound system I could have ever wanted. The guys are very knowledgeable and after a million and one questions and three separate upgrades it is amazing. Very professional installation, took the entire day but the wait is because of the quality of work done. They may be pricey but they will work with you to get you the best sound within your budget. Highly recommend.

I had my 2016 Honda Fit windows tinted here over a year ago and the job was done perfectly. A year in and my windows still look so good - no bubbles, and even the smallest windows were done with care. I’m more than pleased with the results, as I’ve had poor tint jobs done in the past. Service was great, and the staff were very helpful with instructions on how to keep the tint looking fresh (very easy). I’ll be getting the windows done on my next car here for sure. Highly recommend!

I purchased a Kenwood car stereo from Stereo West in the fall of 2012, and it has worked great this whole time. In January, my car stereo stopped working. I replaced the fuse, and it still didnt work. I called Stereo West, and they said all of their installations come with lifetime labor warranties, and it would cost me nothing to look at it. When I brought it over to their Dodge St location, the store manager came out to look at it, and simply it hit the reset button on the stereo. Problem solved. After I replaced the fuse, I had forgotten to hit the reset button on the stereo. Stereo West took care of me, and because of that, whenever I need a car stereo, remote start, or auto security system installed, I will be a Stereo West customer for life.

Ryan got right to me, looked at the problem i was experiencing. And he knew what the solution was. He was able to solve my problem and get my install scheduled and completed in no time. BIG PROPS! Ill go back for sure.

Had them install a remote start on my wife’s vehicle 2-3 years ago which stopped functioning this past fall. Dropped it off the evening before my appointment to have it fixed, and got a call the next morning that they actually fixed it the night I dropped it off and it was ready to go. They didn’t even charge for the fix! Definitely will be going there to get one put on my vehicle in the future, and for any other stereo or accessory needs I have. Fantastic customer service!

David Hampson was extremely helpful today. My car stereo knob was missing after I had my car detailed almost two months ago. Finally received the replacement knob but couldnt get it removed from the faceplate. I took it into the store and David was able to get the knob removed for me. When I went to install the knob on my car it would not press into place. So I went back inside to bother David again. He came back out to the car and as we looked at it, he realized the top of the pin? had been sheered off. David was extremely helpful in troubleshooting the problem even though I was really just wasting his valuable time. Im now a Raving Fan of Stereo West! I had a really good experience here! Price point was reasonable, expectations were clear, and they went out of their way to take care of removing a decal from my car dealership that was bothering me. This place was amazing, I called up Darrell and told him i wanted to put in a system. He built and priced within my budget a great system and got me in the next day for install!! So its been almost a year had a since I had a viper remote start install in a 2014 sonata. I was excited. But the very first day things were wrong. Doors wouldnt unlock car wont start. And plastic trim pieces(Which they said they ordered) were never replaced. Never got a call and was given half a@@ service. Even from the manager/owner. So here I sit a year later and nothing. WORST quality install ever seen. Under my day is nothing but a thousand balls in clumped up wire and butt splices. The todd archer Hyundai wont even touch it.

They broke my window, claimed it was a coincidence.Never trust this shop with your vehicle.The service was terrible in the show room for the moment I walked in, but I only needed some replacement speakers installed, right? How bad could it get. The guy on the sales floor somehow managed to make this simple transaction into a hard sell saying that he needed a decision on scheduling an appointment immediately.Dropped the car off, they took the key, asked for a last name and returned to playing on the computer rather than giving any information.When picking up the car the sales person was rude again, didnt say anything and just handed over the keys and said, it is ready to go.When I got to the car, the back right window was no longer working, as in almost off its track. They pretended there was not a problem. I had to demand to have a technician look at it, but the sales person was hyper defensive and suspect.The person in the repair center said that the window is no where near the speaker in the door and that it could not have been their work that did it. When I pointed out that it was working in the morning and was not working now, he claimed it was a coincidence.The sales person said, OK then, you heard him. You can go now.I decided that I had been taken advantage of and that this shop was well practiced in this type of deception. Since I was there with my daughter, I thanked. them, got in the car and left.I had heard good things about the other location, but this interaction is the single worst experience I have had with retail and service in Omaha.

Well I spend over 5000 on alarm sistem and sound sistem and ratio shut off and said the subwoofer need better amplified don’t they sold me the all sistem they are the professional???? I won’t recommend it

As a woman who went into the 76th and dodge location alone, I felt so uncomfortable and taken advantage of after my experience.Im torn on what review to give but long story short if you want help go see the elkhorn location on 204th and stay far away from the 76th and dodge location.Paid 800 for a sub, amp and wiring install. Within 1 month the sub blew. Went back to the 76th and dodge location for help and was upsold another 800 in equipment (for install at later date). Within 1 hour I called back and said cancel that charge I wont be in for any additional work and I just want the blown sub to be swapped under its warranty. Darrell not only refused to help me but began to pretend he couldnt reverse the transaction. I called the bank and the bank then called him and he was just as rude to the bank. He kept saying I had to speak with someone who never seems to be in. Ive been calling for weeks for this guy.I end up calling the Elkhorn location who wasnt only happy to help but went above and beyond to rectify the situation. I went back to the 76th location to pick up my blown sub to swap in Elkhorn. I had my 3 year old in my arms and Darrell refused to walk it to my car and pretended to help other people and kept walking away. After 20 mins I ended up carrying the sub and box and my kid in the rain myself. Before I even got my blown sub darrell kept trying to tell me smaller older box and sub were mine (total bs)I still have a BS 800 charge on my card guess ill have to ask the Elkhorn location to help me with this as well.Thank you Doug at the Elkhorn location for being a Fantastic human.Seriously please dont go to the 76th location. I am in tears writing this review never have i been so blatantly disrespected. I wouldnt refer my worst enemy to the 76th location they have no respect for women or people in general

I spent over 3000 at this place 2 weeks after installed my subwoofer goes out. They told 2 week warranty repair. Its been almost a year now and still no speaker. The employees are rude and dont help at all. My lawyer is going to have a field day with this business.Update: I called them in March hoping to finally get my speaker and was told I had already came and got it which was news to me. So anyway, I am done all my friends know not to go there. Just a nightmare of a situation.

Lowest you can give is one star otherwise this would be a zero. I booked an appointment and paid in full for a remote start install and window tint. The tint was for their level 3 tint they recommended over level 4 for better UV protection. They only do window tint Monday through Friday and you can only drop off at 9am. I had to take the day off from work to get my car dropped off during this time. After waiting most of the day I get a call around 445pm and they tell me that the remote start is done but they will not be able to do the window tint. They want me to bring it back another day to do the tint and offer me an upgrade from level 3 to level 4 tint. This is only a $50 upgrade and it goes against what they recommended so why would I want that. Just had them refund my money for the tint and I will find better service elsewhere. Remote start works fine but still a wasted day off since that can be installed on the Weekend and the window tint that can only be done during the week did not get done. Not only did they not get the tint done but they didnt even call me 445pm to tell me there was a problem. Awful service, there are lots of other places that can do the same work I recommend using someone else.

Stereo West customer service is absolutely horrible. Bought one of their best remote starters as a Christmas gift for my wife and when we went to pick it up after installation we got zero assistance with the product! Darrell was apparently too busy playing on the computer to explain anything except to tell us to download an app. Got no warranty information, no explanation on how to use or what to do. Almost every front line employee at this store appeared too busy to care or assist customers. Very disappointed and considering uninstalling this product and going elsewhere.UPDATE:Had major issues with the remote start app because it failed to work 75-80% of the time. After seeing my negative review, the manager called me to try to fix their technical issues and failures and finally reinstalled an antenna and a new module for the remote starter and ever since then it has been working near perfect! I still feel their store sales staff are completely ruining their reputation and do not care about customer service but I honestly feel like the manager at the Dodge St store corrected their mistake, was extremely professional, courteous, and went out of his way to make things right. He is the only reason this ended well! He needs to train his staff to be more like him!Huge customer service failure (fixed)

I gave this awful company 3 weeks and 5 grand; yet they were unable to complete the job. They ripped my vehicle apart after I dropped it off even though they were missing the sub, amp, dsp, and speakers. This company tried to pass off speakers that were $300/pr cheaper than what I ordered and told me it was what I ordered. Ordered a focal sub and they were trying to give me a Kenwood. Everything they did was just shady. Kept on giving me excuses about why it was not complete. Customer service here is a joke, really nice when they take your money, however thats where it ends. I was even nice enough to give them an additional week because it was the holiday season, and still more excuses on why it wasnt complete. I had to argue with them for a refund, I eventually took my vehicle and asked for a charge back from my credit card because they wouldnt refund me.

I brought it my own subs and amp for them to install. They told me I’d need a new head unit to make it easier and also a four channel amp for my door speakers. I was all for it you know whatever I was just psyched to have sound in my car again and not just regular sound, over the top. So I took it in, got a ride out of there, it was done just about when they said it would be. I get my car everything works great for a week. First my “car speakers blew” even though I’ve only had them for a couple months. That was fine I could live with low sound from my speakers as long as my bass was high. A week later my subs blow. Both of them. I had 2 12” alpine subs plus an alpine amp that I had them install. I thought maybe the subs were just old so I got a guaranteed newer pair of subs and put those on the same amp and those blew. Now I get that you can’t just do that you have to match this and that so that the subs are compatible and don’t get ruined. I kind of understand that logic. They screwed the amp into the side of my car probably for anti theft reasons which is cool and all but when I unscrewed it and looked at the settings the gain was set to max. Now I don’t know really anything about settings or anything this is why I took it to them. They swore up and down no one would ever set any setting to max and that that was like a golden rule or whatever. But the way they had the amp screwed into my car it was IMPOSSIBLE to get to the settings on it. They basically sat there and told me that me or someone else changed the gain setting on my amp. I’m paying close to 1,700 dollars for an entire system that doesn’t work. And they just sat there and told me there is nothing they can do about it since it’s “my stuff” and there isn’t a warranty because I didn’t buy it from them. Honestly I’m never going to set foot in that store again. I have talked to a couple of friends and family members about it and they all tell me I got ripped off which at this point I believe. If I could give any lower star I would.

I have a two things I want to express- first off, the tint looks good- theres nothing lacking in the quality of product provided by stereo west.Secondly, I believe communication is important to quality customer service as someone who is a small business owner. I honestly feel as though my time was treated as unimportant or irrelevant with my interactions with stereo west. I go to drop my car off and the gentleman cant find me in the system and shows I dont have an appointment. I had made an appointment online through stereo wests webpage, it had apparently never been confirmed with me, by their staff. I was under the impression that it was confirmed, which I didnt get too upset about this- all I wanted was a solution whether that being today or tomorrow, I was honestly indifferent. So he is very nice and goes to ask if they can fit me in.The guy doing the tint was finishing up a vehicle, and then had a 2 window tint job, and I was told they could do mine after - it would be about 2.5 hours I was told. This was at 11AM, mind you. I was very appreciative they were able to accommodate me and I had my sister pick me up since I had a lot to finish up for the day with working from home.I called at 3 PM, since I had an appointment at 4 with a client, since it had now been 4 hours asking the status of my car tint and I was told Oh, it will be ready at 6PM. No explanation, Im just assuming they decided to take the other appointments before me. I didnt really want to argue with someone about it not being finished earlier for the same reason I dont like to argue with a cook about my steak being medium-well when I had asked for a medium-rare steak. This lack of communication caused me to lose money and cancel an appointment with a client, which luckily my client was fairly understanding.Moral of the story- dont use their online system and block out your entire day instead of the 11-3PM. Also, anticipate that there will be no communication with consideration to your time if an issue like this arises- simply reschedule for another date, its not worth the loss of time for an entire 6-7 hours without a car in a city that a car is required to get anything done.

Brian was very communicative and informative from start to finish. He explained the pricing and was even able to accommodate my work schedule by coming to get my car and dropping it back off. He went the extra mile when he realized that my lights werent communicating properly with the new device, took it back to the shop, fixed the issue, and brought it back again. The pricing was fair and the service was great. I definitely found my new go-to for auto toys.

I had a new Viper remote starter and replaced my factory Honda radio with a new Pioneer stereo installed last month. These guys are the best! They picked up my truck and delivered it once it was complete. Walked me through it all, including Android Auto, Sirius/XM and the DVD player. I would recommend nobody but Stereo West in Omaha for remote starters and car stereos. Forget the rest and go to the BEST Stereo West!

Let me just tell you guys if you are looking for a place for your car audio remote starters anything car related this is your place!!! I went in today and a guy named Roger helped me out and he was super nice and helpful he answered all my questions and helped me solve a problem with my system I will definitely be going back in to their store and referring them to anyone who asks they were a great help!!!!

Recently had my windows tinted at the 72nd street location and felt compelled to write a quick review as Ive never used Stereo West before. Ive had 4 cars tinted in Omaha over the last 6 years and hands down this is the best finished product. The tint had minimal bubbles and very crisp cut lines. The guys up front also were great to work with.

If you care at all about your car, dont take it here. I went to Stereo West to have window tint put on the front 2 windows (drivers door and passengers door) of my car. When i got my car back, there was water spots and marks all over the car. Clearly whatever solution they use to apply the window tint gets sprayed liberally all over the car. There was spots /marks on every door on the vehicle, the front fenders, the hood, the windshield, the inside door panels, the leather seats(which left stains in the leather), the dashboard, the windshield, the touch screen and the rear view mirror. keep in mind this is for tint on only the front 2 windows and after waiting 9 hours to get my car back. The tint itself is fine but its very clear that they do not care about you vehicle and they only care about making money.

I wouldnt recommend these guys. Spent 1800 with these guys and didnt even get a sound check. Subpar at best. Do not ignore the bad comments like i did....

Chris and his team at Stereo West were great to work with! We new we wanted an automatic car starter and when we came in they went through the different options and what would make the most sense for what we were looking for. They were able to get us in for install the same day! We love the remote start and cant thank them enough for their professional and timely service!

Very pretentious and unfriendly. Only go here if you know what you want and you have cash in had. Otherwise they will try to pressure you into their credit program. When I asked how much they usually gave in credit the response I received was dude I dont care put whatever you want. i received 3500 dollars in credit when i was 19 years old with a 700 credit score. Although this seems like a good thing... think about it. They allow someone so young to just blindly do whatever knowing that it will increase their chances of a sale and back fees. This is one of the few places I can say I actually hated. But, dont take my word for it. experience it for yourselves.

Chris and his crew really took care of me and the multiple issues I had with my car. Their dedication to their work and making sure that the customer is satisfied is a refreshing change in todays consumer market. I would highly recommend anyone looking to update their audio or rims to give Chris and the Stereo West Autotoys Crew a call...You wont be disappointed!!!

This was my first experience with Stereo west auto toys and I super liked the service and pricing on remote starters. From my research I found they have pretty good deals for the remote starters in Omaha compared to any other store in the city. Best is the price includes installation. I really like the 2 way remote start that I got, works great during the low temperature weeks that we had in November :)

Great prices. Perfect deal on Groupon. HORRIBLE customer service. Had to take my vehicle in THREE times for the SAME problem, was told the problem wasn’t occurring, nothing was resolved after spending TONS of money in purchases and was belittled by staff. Whatever you do just don’t go to the dodge location if you use these services.

Great customer service both in-person and via phone! I called ahead about my issue and the man on the phone asked a series of questions to determine which product I have and diagnose my issue. Then he told me the best days and windows of time to come into the store so that I could get it fixed quickly based on my issue and the staff that worked which days/hours.I stopped into the store last night and Doug Dyksterhuis was knowledgable and friendly and fixed me up in a matter of minutes!Thanks for the great service!

Prices are on the slightly higher end but still fair on my research. Got a car stereo install done by them and they did a fantastic job in a timely manner. Easy to work with, friendly, and communicated everything with me. Would definitely recommend.

So I set up to have my car worked on while I was out of town for a week, so i could pick it up when i got back. They didnt start working on it until i called them a 2:30 pm the day I got back. They didnt install a backup cam and didnt tell me, but then they were going to let me drive off without telling, at about closing time. They told me this was the day I slotted it for, but how does that make sense when you had my car a week. As far as labor goes I feel like you owe me loss of wages for your incompetence...

If you are in the market for a custom stereo system then I would HIGHLY recommend Stereo West. This company has been excellent to work with since day one and they go above and beyond to help out their customers! Specifically for me, Doug and Brian have been exceptional to work with.

I called on Nov 22nd, 2019, spoke to a guy and he told me they were charging 80$ for labor just to figure out why my center console wasn’t powering on. 80$, just to take a look. Then I asked what the price would be if I bought a radio from them and got it installed, 160$. Once I said “ alright man, I think I’m gonna research other options, thanks”, I was met with the slamming of the phone and a dial tone. Not friendly at all. Glad I kept my money.

I recently purchased a new vehicle and wanted to get the 2 front windows tinted since the rest of them were already tinted. Very happy with how things turned out at Stereo West Autotoys in Elkhorn. It was painless to get it scheduled, they got it done quickly and it looks great. I will definitely be going back in the future!

Stereo west is one of the best stores out west here when it comes to sound systems and auto toys. The employees are charismatic and willing to help out in any way. They always keep the customer happy and arent too bad on prices. I recommend them to all my friends and family because they take pride in their work and never fail to impress.
